YouTube Bible Study United we stand divided we will fall Moment of Truth

A speaker uses Matthew 12:25 to warn that America's political and cultural division is a spiritual battle threatening the nation. He points to NFL anthem kneeling as evidence of that division, contrasting it with his emotional response to patriotic moments like the Olympic anthem.

Hey guys, it's a Friday moment of truth, and I want to get right into what I want to talk about today. I want to talk about the thing that's just been bugging the fire out of me, and I'm sure some of you feel the same thing— the division that's going on in this country right now. The, you know, the right versus the left, the Christian versus non-Christian, the Muslim versus Christian, all of that division that's going on. I— it's just, it's just more than this country can stand. And it's based on— and, and I'm going to get to a point, but it is based on Matthew 12:25. It says that every kingdom that is divided against itself will be brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand. So the thing that just bugs the fire out of me— hey, I'm back. I told you I didn't understand this Facebook thing, but my phone kicked me off. It told me that it lost a connection or something. So this technology is good and it's bad. But anyway, I wanted to continue my mini rant that's saying that if we continue all of this division and fighting against one another, we are going to be destroyed. The country is going to fall in on itself. I can't think of anything, any country in history that has come out of two parties just continually fight. I mean, part of getting along is, you know, is not agreeing, but having the, I guess, the courtesy or the love to just accept that person as, you know, as an individual and having an opinion. But the point that I want to make more strongly is all of the— because I'm a football fan and I'm watching all this stuff that's going on in the NFL, And I just want to say that part of that, part of that is not, I mean, no one wants to talk about what it really is. And when you look at Hebrews 11:3, it says that the whole world, all the worlds were framed by the word of God. And the things that were made, the things that are seen are made with things that are not seen. And what in my mind and in my worldview, physical realm bows the knee to the spiritual realm. So the spiritual realm is over the physical realm. So what's going on in the physical realm, it'll start manifesting itself or start making itself known here physically. And I think there's a, there's a huge battle going on, and I'm pretty confident there is, in the, in the spirit realm. And, and what it's— what is manifesting itself here is division. And when you pick something like the American flag or the national anthem, and you start taking a knee, I mean, all of that does, all of that is, is you've got the guy that is the father of all that lies and division, you just got him just smiling. He is so fired up that you have created this— I mean, we're talking about, does someone have the freedom to do that and all that, You know, the problem is, is all of that division and all of that is eventually— I mean, it's got a way that it'll destroy this country. So I mean, I just want you to think about from a standpoint of what's happening with the NFL or other people that aren't standing for the national— and you know, I don't agree with everything that happened in American history, and I don't agree with all the stuff that's going on in Washington, D.C. at all. But this is my country, and the American flag, I mean, I stand. When I watch the Olympics and I hear the national anthem, and I can't be the only one, but you, I haven't done, I haven't swum a lap in a pool in I don't know how many years, but when I watch the Olympics and see those swimmers stand on the podium with tears in their eyes listening to the national anthem, I mean, it moves me. And when you see somebody kneeling on the flag, or kneeling when the national anthem's going on, I mean, it's almost like they're spitting in your face. And it's not so much— and it's done on purpose to, they say, to bring awareness, but the underlying message is division. And we've got to just bind that up. We can't have that division or our country will be destroyed. And I know that's oversimplifying it, But that's what the word says. The word says— you read Matthew, and that's what I want you to think about this weekend. Think about Matthew 12:25, that, that this nation, any nation, cannot stand with this kind of division. And so really, that's all I've got to say for, for today. Sorry about the disruption. I've told you from the beginning, I don't know a whole lot about, uh, this Facebook thing. And when my phone told me I had a a weak signal, it just booted me. So thanks again for watching, and I hope you have a great weekend. Take care, y'all.
