Youtube Quick Bible Study Why Revelation 12:11 is My Favorite Scripture

Greg Ryan breaks down Revelation 12:11 as a three-part strategy for defeating the enemy: the blood of the Lamb, sharing your testimony, and living sacrificially for Christ. He emphasizes relational evangelism through listening and friendship, and notes that most new believers never lead anyone to Christ.

Hey, this is Greg Ryan with Jesus Mighty Men, and I want to tell you why Revelation 12:11 is my favorite scripture. But before I get into that, I want to tell you 3 things that I want you to know before you leave today. One, that God loves you. He is not mad at you regardless of what you have heard. God— you are God's favorite. God is not mad at you. I tell people all the time, if God had a refrigerator in heaven, your picture would be all over it. God loves you that much. Number 2, you have an enemy. He is— I call him punk. He comes only to steal, kill, and destroy. He's out for you, he's out for your family, everything that you own and desire, everything that you love, the punk wants it. And number 3, you have more power. You have the power, the same power that raised Jesus Christ from the dead living on the inside of you, and greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world. So You don't have to worry as long as you fight the battle in the right arena. And we're gonna teach— that's what I do with Jesus Mighty Men— is I teach men and women which arena we gonna fight in. We don't get pulled into Satan's arena because he'll kick our butt every time. But what we do is we fight him where God and Jesus and the Holy Spirit are in the spirit realm, and he gets his butt kicked. He don't want nothing to do with those three. So why, why I love Revelation 12:11, it is simple. It is a simple scripture, but it's powerful, and it's about the fight. It's about how we defeat the enemy. And it says, and they overcame him, him being the punk, by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of our testimony, and we did not love our lives to the death. So there's 3 things. One, you overcome him by the blood of the Lamb. The blood of the Lamb is Jesus' shed blood on the cross. So that's already done. So that's one, we can just mark that one off. We don't have to do anything. By faith, we just accept that Jesus has done that. Then we go to step 2, which is number 2, is the word of our testimony. Now the word of our testimony is already done too. If you've accepted Christ, you've already got a testimony. You just get used to telling people what it is and how he saved you. In season, be ready. In season and out of season, people are going to ask. And what I tell people is just live your life. Just walk through life, be nice, be kind. And then if you take somebody to lunch or visit with them, you don't have to hit them over the head with the Bible. I tried that. It doesn't work. But what you do is you just listen and you just visit. You become a friend. You become a family member. You just, "What's going on? What is your story? By the way, what's your story?" You know what will happen a lot of times is they are going to ask you, "What's your story? Why are you like the way you are?" There is your testimony. You disarm, you disarm the enemy by the blood of the Lamb and the word of your testimony and then the sacrificial lifestyle. Just be ready. Just be ready to give it whether there's a crowd, whether you're by yourself. The sacrificial lifestyle. There is no reason. I have heard and read that many people, many people when they come to accept Christ as their Lord and Savior, more than 80%, 90% never lead anyone else to the Lord. And what— that's sad. That is said, for everything that he has done for me in the 29 years before I knew him, I know there's good and evil because I was on both— I've been on both sides. But I'm not going to give my testimony today. I just want to tell you why I love Revelation 12:11. I am going to tell my story in another video. But what I want to tell you is that you have a testimony. You can disarm the evil one. And all you have to do is just make up your mind, and that's your sacrificial lifestyle, is that you got to get to the point where I don't care. I mean, no one's going to— it ain't going to kill you to tell somebody about what happened to you. So take that away. The punk is going to— he comes to steal, kill, and destroy. He uses discouragement. He uses fear, and he uses all kinds of the nasty side and anger. In disappointment. I mean, he's just a punk. So forget him, forget him, and think about the 3 or 4 or 5 people in your life that your testimony can change. Well, that's enough for now. I have JesusMightyMen.com if you want to go check out that. I've got some really cool tools. I've got a paid subscription that you can get involved with if you want the daily bread, but that's enough for now. I just want you to be encouraged because God loves you. Satan hates you. But you've already got the power inside of you to take care of that with the Word. Well, thank you again and God bless you.
