In this video, JoeBot (TestGuild) and a host walk through a real‑time demo of GroqBot’s newly released QA Engineer agent. They connect the agent to a GitHub repository hosting the Test Tool Matcher app deployed on Vercel, let it run against the latest deployment, and observe its behavior. The agent automatically discovers infrastructure issues—specifically 404 errors caused by a redirect—captures screenshots, and reports blockers. The host also showcases the GroqBot mobile app, using it to monitor and trigger tests while away from the desk. After fixing the reported issue and redeploying, the agent confirms the problems are resolved. The presenters conclude that the tool works well as a zero‑configuration, high‑level smoke or sanity tester, especially with its mobile capabilities, but it remains superficial: it does not validate core application logic, search criteria, or deep functional behavior. They position the agent as a helpful “intern” for early‑stage checks, note broader use‑case possibilities beyond QA, and direct viewers to TestGuild’s ToolMatcher for further testing tool recommendations.

Hey, is AI finally going to replace us, or is it just another hype train?
Well, today we're going to put GroqBot's new QA engineer agent to the test in real time.
And as you'll see, I recorded myself raw. It's a really bad camera angle, but it is what it is. It's unfiltered reaction as I tried this for the very first time. I had no idea what I was doing. So let's jump into the footage and see what it actually caught, and more importantly, what it completely missed. Let's check it out.
All right, Cursa just released something called Grokbot. I just installed it. So it allows you to create agents and then use those agents for different activities. And I just installed it and automatically suggested a QA agent. I'll just call it the Test Guild QA Engineer Bot. So what I'm going to do is I'm going to connect to GitHub. All right, so I pointed to my GitHub project, my Test Tool Matcher application, and told it to test the latest deploy. It's running on Vercel. It's clicking through the main flows. It's going to report what it breaks. So we'll see what happens. All right. So I found some issues. So these issues aren't really valid. They are valid, but they're not. So it basically said that I shouldn't ship. So it has some blockers. The tool category. Tools page isn't working, that the— it's getting some 404s. And that's true because the site it went to was Vercel. So if you go here, this is kind of like my development environment. And then what I do is I redirect this to testguild.com. So obviously if you click on any of these, it does return a 404. That's because I'm doing a redirect. So it did find real issues. If that was the production site. All right. But I don't want to just gloss over this.
It is a valid error, 404.
We want to find 404s. So for a zero configuration tool, catching these infrastructure bugs is a solid win. So definitely thumbs up for that. And it does some screenshots to show what happened. And then you can set to watch all deploys and just run, run, run the QA agent every time you do a deploy or open issues with blockers or just report for now. So during this, my dog actually came in and wanted to go out. So as I was out, I also downloaded the Groq bot mobile app. And I was able to see all the activities as it was working. And then I told it while I was outside to, hey, I'm reverse proxying this to, and gave it the real URL if it could verify it. And then it went off, it did its thing. So what's really cool is it also has a mobile app that you can just run your agents at will while you're away from your desk, which is pretty cool. All right, so I just fixed the issue with the tools page. So I'm going to deploy it. And then let's see what happens. This bot kicks off or not.
All right.
So I just kicked off and I did a deploy. It sees that the deploy has landed and now it's connecting and doing its thing. Let's see what happens.
All right.
I know I found it because this is what I called it. Fix empty tool page API issue. All right, and then it just confirmed that the previous 3 issues have now been resolved and has screenshots to show what it looks like. All right, so is this a valid test? I mean, yeah, it's a, I guess it's like a sanity test or, you know, the first, first look. So this is a pretty decent sanity check or smoke test. But as you can see, it's pretty superficial. It doesn't really go into the actual logic of the application itself. So it didn't actually test the functionality of the application, right? Whether or not, say, this, this criteria worked or not. So it didn't validate this to say, okay, here's the criteria for the search, here are the results that returned, here are the tools, are these tools valid for that particular search criteria? It didn't do that. It just did more high-level type of checks.
So the verdict— let me know your thoughts in the comments down below— but my verdict is, as a high-level smoke test or sanity check before a deep dive, it's actually not too bad. As you see, the mobile app feature is a massive plus for kicking off tests while you're away from the desk. But as you saw, it's incredibly superficial right now, or maybe just my little test was superficial. I probably could have given it a more meaningful task, but it didn't really validate the actual logic, the search criteria, or the core functionality of the application. So it's really kind of like a helpful assistant, a little intern, but it's definitely not doing our deep functional automation just yet. But there's a lot of use cases for this. It's not just QA. RockBot, you create any type of assistant. So definitely check it out. Like I said, I have no affiliation.
I just thought it was really cool, so I downloaded it.
Downloaded it and gave it a try. But as we saw, GroqBot might not be ready to find the perfect testing strategy for you just yet. But if you need help finding the right testing tool, I got you covered. Head over to testguild.com/toolmatcher. I built it to give you the unbiased, community-backed recommendations so you can find the right framework without the sales pitches. So check it out using the links down below, and also let me know what tool you end up matching with. And as always, test everything, keep the good.
