In this instructional video, the creator demonstrates how to hand‑engrave a "Happy New Year" message in Palace script using a Cobra graver and a GRS Thermolock. The process begins with surface preparation: a Q‑tip dipped in regular nail‑polish remover is used to clean oil from the workpiece. A laser‑printed guide is placed on the material to outline the lettering. The Cobra graver is employed while the Thermolock, which initially covers too much of the working surface, is repositioned to expose the necessary area. To clean any oil on the surface, this Q-tip has been dipped into normal nail polish remover. This is printed on the paper by a laser printer. This is the same Q-tip with normal nail polish remover. We have a video showing how to hold different objects with the GRS Thermolock. The link is in the description below. Only one graver is used in this video, the Cobra Graver. The thermolock has covered too much of the working surface. It has to be moved back a bit to release some space on this plate. The edges of the lettering have been raised up during the engraving process. They need to be smoothed away with sandpaper.
