A short YouTube fashion clip (creator: kind-iguana) in which the speaker tries on a linen outfit and gives a focused style tip: choosing less bulky/less-clunky shoes helps linen pants fall and look cleaner at the hem. The speaker compares a heavy platform heel (too chunky) to a slimmer shoe that lets the pant drape, and explains how shoe choice changes the eye’s focus and perceived bulk at the bottom of the outfit.

I was just trying on this outfit, this linen outfit, which I think is adorable. The pants, I got in a four and actually I do think I needed two in them. And I'll link it all up for you. But what I wanted to talk about style tip wise, is shoes. So theoretically, right, I was like, oh, this is a really high heel for me and it's a great shoe and it has a platform. Because what I want is for the pant to sort of fall all the way to the ground where it's not looking clunky at the bottom. And again, I think when I get a two, it's going to sit just like this. But even if I got a two and it was up a little, this adds, like bulk down there. So color wise, it works. Cork and army green and linen, that all works. But the shoe itself is like too heavy, too clunky for this. If the pant was wider and it went all the way over it, I don't know if I can even make that happen. There we go. Nah, it's not. It's not working. The experiment's not working. But this shoe, which I don't know if they even still sell, but you could find something like it. There's less bulk and it just sort of lets the pant fall. And your eye isn't going down there saying like, oh, she's like. It's all cuddly at the bottom and chunky and that kind of stuff. So I hope that helps. Just in terms of like, inspirational getting dressed things when things feel off. Maybe this will help you pinpoint what that is to be able to correct it.
