Yay. I am here today with Jeannie, who is the manager at the Crocker Park Ever Eve, and we're going to do a virtual shopping. So, because even though things are starting to open with COVID and there are some people that are absolutely out and about, and I do believe, I have total hope that in the next few months, things are going to start to normalize. We're going to have reason to get dressed and go out again. I know there are many people that are still trying to pick and choose when you're going out and about. So virtual shopping is a great way to do it. The great folks at Ever Eve. You know, I love Ever Eve. I'm sporting it today. We'll take you around the store. And so I'm going to show you sort of how that works. We're going to go around the store, we're going to talk about some of the new spring fashions and the new things that are in store. And. Okay. So I kind of tend to have my favorites, and my favorites are usually a lot of customer favorites. So I'm going to start with this piece as we head into the spring. This is called the shacket. Not a totally new term, but it's a cross between a shirt and a jacket. And I know we all have camo, and I have about eight pieces of camo at home, but I love subtle, subtle colors in this. And it can be worn open. You can partially snap it. I personally like it.
I like that it's also a lighter weight shacket. So our shackets from the fall have been heavier flannel or Wools. And this looks like it's a lighter weight, you know, like a canvas, right?

Okay.
And I like it with this simple Michael Stars tea. It's a lightweight tea. It has some great detailing. We have a lot of Michael Stars, which I'll show you when we go through the store. But I particularly like this light, kind of subtle pink because this camo actually has a little bit of that pink in it.
Yeah, yeah. And I also like that that shirt has. I don't know if you guys noticed, but instead of having a straight armhole that straight across like this, it's angled. And that's one of those, like, fashion science things that when something's on an angle, it makes your arm look leaner. Very often with straight across T shirts, I would have clients roll it and often even have it tacked. And at the. At the tailor to keep it that way with a mailman's here. So we might hear a ring on the bell, you guys. But anyway, so I love that, and I love the soft pink color. And it also looks like it is. Has a little slub, like a little burnout, but that you don't need to wear a camisole under it. Can you put your hand in it, Jeannie, just so we can see how sheer it is, please? Yeah, got it. So, yeah, if you wore a nude bra, I don't think you'd have to wear. You know how there's some shirts that are so sheer you need to wear a camisole under it? I don't think this is one, so that's awesome. Oh, I love it. I like that soft pink also.
I do, too. It's just feminine, and it's a little alternative from the white, and I like to pair it. Another trend we have right now is a relaxed fit jean. It's not a real skinny jean. We're in the air right now where we want to wear something comfortable. And this is a great, comfortable, distressed pair of jeans. They're called the Riley, and they're a number one selling agold e Jean. They're kind of a little bit more jean material than the real stretchy material.
Okay. So they're like a true denim.
Right. And they have not a lot of distressing, but enough distressing to satisfy those people who like distressed jeans. I mean, they also come in a plain, non distressed, kind of lighter wash jean, too. They suggest that when you're buying these that you size up if you want that real cozy feeling. But, you know, it's up to you.
But a lot of times with the. With the denim that has less stretch, I like to size up also, just because there isn't as much give to it. So those are nice. And that's a great way to sort of step into the non skinny jean trend.
Absolutely.
Sort of like a relaxed boyfriend. Pardon?
I'm a big fan of relaxed right now. I mean, we've all got that Covid thing going on, and relaxed is what it's all about. And stylish. Right?
I like that. And I also like that the holes are. It's not everywhere, and it looks like they're a little reinforced, so you won't have, like, thigh skin coming out through the holes.
Absolutely. Okay, now I have to show you another pair of my favorite jeans. Speaking of relaxed jeans, these are. I know we all have white skinny jeans, and I have two pairs in my. Three pairs in my closet. But when these came out, they're the perfect max mix of kind of a. They're called a trouser jean. They're made by 7 of all mankind. I size down in them. I'm between a 26, 27. I tried the 26. They're really stretchy, but I don't know if you can see the bottom of them.
Oh, now we can. That is the money shot, girl. Those are awesome because it gives you that, like, wide, sort of culotte look, but because it has what I'll call a shark bite in there. So shark bite shirts, I think are so unattractive on most women when it's the shirt, because it comes. Wait, I'm going to make it so we can see each other. So shark bite shirts often go up here, and then they add visual width here. So a lot of times on women, those are not that attractive. But on a pant, that is going to give you the ability to wear all different shoes with it. It's not going to be as hard hard as other wide leg pants, especially for a shorter woman. Because you can wear different shoes because you're seeing the ankle. I love those. Oh, I need those in my box.
I have even worn the combat boots with them, even though I'm breaking the rule that you can't wear white. I mean, I. You can wear white all year.
It's not a rule anymore. Yeah, not a rule.
They look really cute with the combat boots that I have on. I just wore them the other day and, you know, I just kind of paired them because I like the white lettering for now. And you can throw a jacket over, so you could do a T shirt or you could do A tank. And, you know, white. You can wear anything with white.
Yes. Oh, that's great. I love those. Seriously, Sign me up.
Okay, hold on. I got to. Hold on.
This is dangerous, you guys, because this is what happens. I'm like a kid in a candy store, and I'm a kid in the candy store and I go shopping and I'm like, oh, that's great for them. I'll take one for them and one for me. One for them and one for me. So it's dangerous. But I say that it's. I justify it by saying it's market research. So I can tell you how everything fits.
Okay. As we're heading in, shorts have been.
Amazing on my clients.
So we have distressed. These are a little longer. These are the Riley short, I believe. Let's see. Oh, I'm sorry. These are the Parker short. They come in distress and they come in a little longer length. And we also have. Can you get me the cut? We also have cut from the cloth short. But denim shorts are what everybody is loving right now. And I honestly like a denim short. This is the. Thanks. This is the cut. Little difference.
The cut from the cloth. Okay.
But the thing I'm loving about these shorts is they're not fitted to your leg. You. You know, we don't like to show off our size. Having it tight, it's almost like wearing.
It's almost like wearing a mini skirt, but that you have, like, the shorts part in between. So because it's wider in the leg, it tends to visually make the legs and the thighs look slimmer as opposed to a really tight around the thigh where you're not getting that balance. I love it.
Exactly.
And you're gonna pair it with a kimono.
Yes.
So yes.
I love that look of a T shirt. Just basic white T shirt and a kimono with shorts. And I actually like it with boots. Or you can do your favorite tennis shoe.
Yep, that's great. And it's a nice way to be covered and finished but not be, like, overheated.
Exactly.
Yeah.
And this is a great. You know, people are going on vacation now, so great cover up for the pool.
Yep.
Okay. These are a staple. They're called Level 99. They are a jogger, but can be dressed up or dressed down. You could put these with heels out for the night. And you can also wear them with tennis shoes during the day. It's the perfect day to night. Pair of pants.
I have those. They're great. And they're a little stretchy, so they're really Comfortable.
Yeah. Now these I would size down because they are so stretchy. Did you size down Haley?
I did, I did. Yeah, Hallie? Yeah, I did. And I also think they look really cute with a boot when you unzip it at the bottom and it goes over a boot.
Right. So the side has the zipper.

That gives you some versatility as well.

And Michael Stars has. These are one of our biggest staples. It's just a great basic tank. It comes in this color, white and black so far.

We had a colors in the fall, but it's the perfect tank to wear under. You know, we all need a good jean jacket.

Question about the tank top. So is the tank top fitted in the midsection or is it a little like a line and looser?
It is. It's fitted. Okay. It's a great fitted jacket. I mean, it doesn't really go out at all. I mean, it's just a great fit. Tank.

Okay, so another trend. I'll bring that jean jacket back. But another trend is short sleeve sweatshirts. And we have. As we walk through, we have all kinds. We have some with a little bit of frills. This has been featured on our website. It's at our. It's a big photo at our cash wrap. She has this on with white jeans. It's just. It's a frilly. And you see.
Oh, that's awesome. Yeah, I love color. I would like. I'd like that one in my box to. Please.

That's really cute. What I was going to say is there's a quilted jean jacket behind you that looks really cute. I feel like I've seen that online also.
That was actually on the COVID of our catalog from the fall. Our new catalog, Spring is coming out next week. But this is just a great basic quilted jacket.

Okay. So I picked out this chaser is another big brand of ours. And the material, the fabrication is great. But I really like the detailing of this with this hook and eye, I was gonna say.

And that looks great with just our basic cut jeans. Skinny jeans, all kinds of lengths we have cut from the cloth is a great brand of jean. It's economical and yet it's still the quality of premium denim, but a little more.
I would agree.

Yes.
And I like that.
Can I see the bottom of those jeans? Okay, so to me, even though those are skin skinny, they're a little bit of a straight. So what I think, you know, there's been this controversy about skinny jeans. Are they in, are they out? I believe they're a classic. But one of the ways I think that a skinny jean, if you're a die hard skinny jean person and you want it to translate and feel more current, is a bottom like that where it's a straight skinny as opposed to a jegging skinny where it's like really tight around your ankle. That's the part that's feeling off. So I just want to make sure everybody knows because again, there are people that love their skinny jeans and do not want to go into some of those wider leg styles, which is totally 100% fine. But a way to update your skinny jeans is to do something like this where it's just a smidge straighter down at the ankle area.
Right. And these also come in a raw edge. I mean, I haven't even talked about the raw edge jeans. I've just kind of shown you some of the latest ones. But we totally sold out of this style and just got a replay of it. So we have plenty of these.
Oh, great, Great. That's also a good wash for people that are that like a darker wash traditionally, but want to have something that's a little lighter for spring and.
Yes, you know, exactly.
Because it has a little more white undertone to it. So.
Okay, so we have this dress. It's a great dress for vacation. You can tie a knot in the bottom of this just to add a little bit of style and a little bit of interest. And it comes in when we go through the store. I'll show you some of them, but it comes in a tie dye. It comes in a yellow. It comes in a blue and white stripe. It comes in a gray, Just a plain gray.
Yeah, that is really cute.
It's perfect for summer. It's perfect for vacation. It's perfect for a beach cover up if you want to wear it out at night. It looks great with the denim jacket. You know, I like it.

Okay. Okay. So when you come into the store, you have spring and summer. Okay. These are Michael Starr dresses. The ruching is really flattering on you. Ruche where you want to hide. So that comes in that coral color and it comes in a black. Same thing.
Nice. Now, is that very body conscious? And then you just sort of play with the ruching to camouflage any.
It's very stretchy. It's not so tight. You're going to be uncomfortable with it. And then if you.
It would probably be a really, really cute dress for someone for a maternity also, you know, where you actually get to show off the bump. I bet that would be really great.
That is that when we first opened, we had a style similar, and some people thought we were maturity. And they loved that they. But they loved that they could wear it like.
Right. Well, wasn't the store originally called something like Hip Mama?
It was called Cool Mama, Hot Mama.
Hot Mama. Right. So I could see why people would think it was maternity, but. Oh, that's the same dress and a tie dye.
Yeah, that's my favorite one.

Yeah, I do too. I do, too. So Z Supply is a brand that carries a lot of this casual wear. And the whole front of the store is all joggers with matching sweatshirts, which is a big trend.

Okay. So that is the same gene I showed you that was distressed, but in a non distressed.
Got it. That is a great wash. That's a great wash. Okay. Yep.
So this over here is our Varley wear. It's our leisure wear. And all different kinds of leggings and sweatshirts. And the fabric is amazing with barley.
Nice. I really like those sort of burgundy leggings, like because you can wear them for exercise. Those are really fun.
Right, well, and that's the thing. Like, that's one of the patterns. And then this has been another kind of fun.
Oh, that's cute.
Yeah. So you can. Another kind of summer pant is the utility jogger. It's just a lighter wash, kind of a spring summer pant gathered at the bottom. No, Zippers or anything, but you know, kind of the drop string.
Yeah. So it's sort of like if your khakis and your sweatpants had a baby.
Yeah. And just some basic.
Yeah. Nice. And again, it's that same arm, you guys, just to keep in mind, it's. It's at a diagonal, so it just is a more feminine fit to a sleeve. And it just. It's like one of those little details just to be aware of because it makes. It's a more attractive look on 90% of the people.

Okay. Okay. So these pants are called the commando pants and they're called the butter joggers. And they do feel like butter. They have pockets. They're real silky material. Honestly, I haven't, I haven't tried them on yet. But they have the fitted bottom.
And then is the top meant to be rolled down or is it meant to wear up?
I think.
Is it a Spanx? Is it.
It's. It's not the same material as Spanx. It's not tight fitting. It's just a real loose. They call them commando pants. They're kind of.
Right. But it's. But the brand. It's made by Spanx, correct or no?
Yeah, I think it is. No, it's. It's called Commando.
That's a brand. It's a separate brand. Okay. But it is. Commando is also a sort of undergarment company that is doing line extensions of clothes. So it's a similar ish, kind of. Okay, got it. It's sort of like how Spanx does pants. These are Commando's version of pants. Got it.
Right, Right. Well, thank you. That. That totally explained it. There's the kimono. We also have some great. Like this. This is just a flared jumpsuit and it comes in this. Oh, it.
So it's a jumpsuit. It's.
Yeah, yeah, I. I love that. And that looks good with a jean jacket too. And then we just have some other jumpsuits in there. Am I.
So you know what, Jeannie, can we also put that black jumpsuit thing in my box? Because I think that's one that people this will like when they see on. I think it's sort of hard to picture it when it's off.

And I also think it's one of those pieces that can be styled a few different ways so it doesn't feel dumpy. I don't know, like it might be to belt it. It might be to wear a longer necklace. It might so I'm going to play around with that when it comes to my house and I'll post it for you guys.

Okay. Another big. Trend are these puffy sleeves that comes in white and black.
Yes.
The V neck is flattering, but the puffy sleeves, like if you have big shoulders, I would say this is not a great look for you. But if you are a true inverted triangle and you want to even out, I would say this would be a good look.
Yes. I would also say I did happen to try that on. I felt like it ran a little big and also that it was more well suited for a larger busted woman. That the V tended to be a little low for me and I wasn't. It was not as attractive on me, but I could see it being really attractive on a larger busted woman or a person. Like you said an inverted triangle or even an apple where. Right.
I would totally agree with you on that. Yeah. Okay. So are you ready for this? We were talking about bike shorts. Bike shorts.
Yeah.
I'm. I'm just. I gotta wait for this trend to catch on because I have such skinny legs that I don't know.
I don't know. Got it. Yeah. I mean people are loving it. It's not. Again, I agree with you. I think a woman that has really. Well, that's happy with her legs. It's a great fun look that happens to me. My self conscious area. So I will probably pass on those. But yeah, I think that totally. Yeah, I've seen it looked very. Okay. I know a lot of our. We have three people that actually go online and show you different ways to wear different things. But this chambray shirt is another big look for spring. Wear it as a jacket. Wear it as a shirt. I love chambray and white.

Just love how crisp that looks.
It does. It does. So again, that's one of those tops that I think is great. That that is probably better for a smaller busted woman because where the pockets are and the fact that the pockets are a little like puckered in detail will bring the eye right there. So again, just to educate when people are looking, if that's your self conscious area, I would not pick that top. But if you're a little more washboardy, I think that it could be great.
Okay. Another look is the utility jumpsuit. And this has been pretty popular with some of our customers. That and I don't know if anyone saw this one. This is the utility jumpsuit from Good America.
Good American one. I tried that on. It is fabulous, fabulous, fabulous. And the other thing I would say is if you could show there's an extra heavy duty button at the waist, like where there's that waistband, there's a snap, an exterior snap there. And to me, that is the design detail that makes all the difference. So.
Right. Because it really is fitted in your.
Waist, it holds you in in a good and pretty comfortable way. You know, again, I'm going to stand up and show. So for example, throughout the day, there are times my. Not with these jeans particularly, but where this will spread. And that's because, you know, I'm moving. But that button keeps it all like, it's like industrial. It keeps it all in place. That is a magic jumpsuit. I will also say I feel like I took a size 2 in that?
Yeah, definitely size up. I mean, it is fitted, but.
And they run. And that's not like, 2, 4, 6. It's a zero. 1, 2, 3, 4. Just to put it in perspective, so.
Well, I feel like. Okay, so do you see the snap that I'm showing you?
Yeah, that's the. The game changer.
Right. And once you get it on, it, it's. It. It's tight, but it is so stretchy that it's flattering on. I mean, there was a woman that came in that. Oh, my gosh, she had a tiny waist and just totally rocked it.
Yes. My. My daughter, when I put it on, told me I looked slim, thick. I guess that means that you have, like, a tiny waist and a booty. That's. That's a compliment from a teenager, right?
Well, I kind of made the joke that I'm older, and Jack LaLanne had a workout suit that looked like that.
He did.
I remember. I remember he had a couple different ones, but, you know, he was so fit, and he had this skinny waist, and it was, like, unbelievable.
Yeah. So I feel like there was another utility suit that was by Paige that you carried. Do you have that in stock?
No, we just have the chaser. The level 99.

Okay. These are just great summer tanks. They come in white, this really cool coral, and a black.

I totally agree. And very comfortable. It's made. It's Dolce Vita. And Dolce Vita makes a comfortable shoe. I Don't think we sell any shoes that aren't comfortable.

Came out around Valentine's Day. They're just great tanks with a heart on them. They come in black, white, green, and pink. I don't have.

I think we've been wearing them for a long time.
I know. So this is another short sleeve sweatshirt that does not have the puffy sleeves and it comes in a darker gray color.

This dress just came in. I have not tried it on, but tie dye.

And these Michael Star sweatshirts come in blue. They come in the bright pink. They come in a gray and kind of a terracotta color.
Nice. And I think that that also, because it sort of goes in. In at the waist, gives the oversized feel, but nips in in the middle, so it's not overwhelming.
Right, so it's not the boxy look.

Michael Stars does a really good job of designing for real women, I have to say.

Yeah. So if you. If you guys have a denim jacket that you find yourself wearing a lot. Hey, Jeannie, can we grab the white jean jacket for a second?
Yeah, totally.
Okay. So a lot of times there's question and issue about, oh, if I'm wearing jeans on the bottom, what do I wear on the top if I always wear my jean jacket? And that is totally fair because denim on denim is. It can be done, but that is like a doctorate level fashion course. That's not an easy, like 101 kind of thing. So the workaround is to have a white denim jacket because then you can wear all your Normal denim, blue denim jeans and pair it with a white denim jacket and have the totally same feel without. Without the question about is it matching? Are my shades of denim working or whatnot? You can also flip flop it and wear a white jean with a blue denim jacket or a black jean and a blue denim jacket and that. So those are the workarounds. So I would say if you are finding yourself loving your blue denim jacket, a great investment is a white denim jacket.
Totally. The bomber jackets are also really big too. Just kind of shorter. Creates. Creates a waist that comes in a pink too.
