Well, as we get ready to turn our attention to the weekend and all the events, we've got some Fashion Friday advice to help you look your best.
And this is one of the things that actually J and I love most. Yeah, we do get your shoes on because we're starting to transition from, you know, summer to fall. And we're talking about boots, we're talking about all that stuff that keeps you warm. That looks really good. Kiara Cotton scoped it all out for us.
For those of us that live in Northeast Ohio, shoes are a huge thing, especially as we turn seasons.
And lucky for us three, new style contributor Hallie Abrams is breaking down fall's best buys and biggest trends. And the good news is you can do it all on a budget.
We are at Aurora Farms Premium outlet and I really wanted to come here because there are so many great deals here.
These styles are all from famous footwear, but Halle says they're looks you can find across all brand and price points. First up, a back to school classic.
When you think of fall, loafers and oxfords come to mind. They're a closed toed shoe that really can transition from season to season. So they've been reimagined this year with that really hefty lug sole. This pair is by Madden Girl. So this is in the $60 range. I can picture someone wearing it back to school. I also think it would look really great with a wide leg pant or a skir and also really current with jeans.
And speaking of chunkier soles, Halle says this look is making its way into boots as well, like this suede option. Perfect for these transitional weather days.
So this is a Chelsea boot that again, has been around a while. Same thing. Lug soles are very in. We saw them on a lot of the runways for fall.
But if you're worried about investing in something that will only stick around for a season, Halle says this is a trend that has some legs.
The Chelsea boot is classic. And adding this new twist, we're heading the trend at the beginning, so it should be around for a good five to seven years.
When it comes to sneakers, this Converse style is also showing off that chunkier sole. And it comes with the added benefit of a little height. And finally, the 70s are calling look for clogged styles to make a comeback. But you don't have to go full on flower power to rock this look.
So clogs do look really great with a wider leg pant, but I think they look also really good with a midi skirt. It's that Again, the push, push and pull of the casual and the dressy and the clog sort of is right in the middle, and it helps you marry those two.
Now we can't forget about the gods. Halle says that just like the ladies, men should look out for updated twists on classic styles, like these lightweight loafers from hey Dudes.
You pick them up and you're like, there's no way they're that light. They also have a really wide toe box, so they're just super comfortable. And literally, they have a cult following.
Another style that has remained universally popular.
For men, Chukkas come in all price ranges, all sty. It really means that it's sort of a desert boot style. It helps make a suit more casual, and it helps jeans feel a little dressier.
Doc Marten has also updated its classic look for 2022 with a new canvas fabric.
They took a Timberland type style, but made it their own.
And finally, a fresh white pair of sneakers will always be in style.
A white sneaker just sort of goes with everything. It just again creates a seamless look. And even though it's athletic, it's somewhat elevated in classic.
So go ahead and step out in style and comfort this fall.
Just remember, don't be afraid to try something new, especially like a lug sole. They can fit any price point, any profession, any age, and it'll make you.
Feel fresh for three news. I'm Kira Cotton.
