Short video-style tip advising when to hem a dress depending on shoe type: heels (approx. 2.5") usually don't require hemming, whereas lower-heeled boots (about 1" heel) look better with a slightly shortened hem so a little ankle shows. If you want one length to work for both shoe types, shorten the dress to the shorter length. The tone is informal and practical.

All right, I got a quick style tip for you about when to hem or not to hem a dress. Right? And this is especially pertinent to ladies that are sort of like, I used to wear heels. I don't wear heels anymore. I only wear heels sometimes, that kind of thing, which is ladies like me. Okay. Anyway, if I were going to wear this dress with a heel, and that's probably like a 2 1/2 inch heel, it's open. I don't feel like I would need to hem it. It totally, like, it works. The foot is open. It totally works. However, if I were going to wear it with this boot, which I also like, like, I think that's a great look. So if I was going to wear it with this, which is like a 1 inch little heel, I would shorten it to about there so you still saw a little ankle. Now, if you want to wear it for both, shorten it because it's going to look just as good there for both of them. Right. But you don't have to with this. You have to with the boot, with the flatter. Okay? So if you're wearing shoes that are flatter these days, think more about hemming a little bit so that you don't feel like your clothes are sitting on top of the ground. That's it. Hope that was quick enough and helpful.
