Let’s talk barrel jeans!

Barrel jeans curve inward at the hem. They fit petite women awkwardly at the knee and hem, and apple-shaped bodies need careful top choices to balance proportions. Raw hems and styles without knee stitching can help.

And let's chat about barrel jeans. Who they can work for, who might have a harder time with them, and what to look for so that you're set up for success. Barrel jeans, because they horseshoe at the bottom a little bit. Okay. And here's two other examples. More petite women. And I'm five four, so when I'm saying more petite, I'm saying like five feet and under. Like, really, really petite women can have a hard time with the bow part, the barrel, like, where you see the sort of. That knee stitching can hit really low on a very petite woman. So that's something to keep in mind if that is, if that's your issue. If you are very petite, a barrel jean like this, which does not have that stitching at the knee, can work really well. It still gives you the same vibe. It still gives you the nice, like, waist definition. These, I haven't taken the tag off yet, but it works. And they have happen to have a raw hem, so you can cut them off and make them work for you. So this is a great pair. Another woman that might have more of an issue with the barrel jean is somebody that is more of a apple, let's say, where you're carrying more of your weight in the middle, because that waist definition can be a little more challenging. However, I have a client that is. I have two clients that are more of an apple shape and wear the Neely Low tan barrel jean. They don't call it a barrel jean. They call it the Shown or the Emerson. But they wear that really well and successfully and love it. So it doesn't mean it can't work for you. It just means you have to try and find the right one for you. And if you are a person, especially an apple shape where you're used to highlighting your slim leg and wearing something bigger on top, it can be a total mind shift because. Because now all of a sudden, you're adding volume in the bottom where you're skinny, and I use that in quotes, and showing a part of your middle where you may feel more full, but proportionally, if you get a top that either is like this, right, where it's creating waist definition, but you're still sort of covered or something that hits at your hip bones, you'll be creating that proportion and balance. Let me know if that makes sense. I feel like that was blah, blah, blah, blah. That was like an engineering talk.
