My go-to tip to find your ideal length!

Find your ideal crop length by measuring to the middle of your ankle bone, the sweet spot that works for most people. Use a favorite pair as a guide or measure from crotch seam to ankle mark. Crop lengths have gotten longer in recent years.

Do you wonder about what the right crop of your pants or jeans are like? What is the right length for you? For most people, right at your ankle bone is really the sweet spot because it's long enough that it looks intentional, it's short enough that it works with almost all of your shoes. And if you're feeling like some of your favorite crop pants aren't working for you anymore, I'm going to tell you why. Look at this picture. Okay, so in the last, I would say like five years, pants have been getting longer, right? So this used to be what a crop pant was. It was usually like three or four fingers above your ankle bone. That was where it was. Like, that's what was popular. Now as things are getting longer, we still want cropped, but we don't want it as cropped. So when I've had clients say, oh my gosh, these used to be my favorite pants. But like something's feeling off, most of the time it's because they're too short. And that's funny because most of the time 40 and 50 year old women are not growing, they're shrinking. So it's sort of ironic. Anyway, let me help you figure out how to do it. This pant is a cropped pant, a cropped jean by pistola. It is a 26 inch inseam. I know that because I was able to look at the website and see what the dimensions were. But if you don't know, how do you figure it out? Well, a fabric measuring tape is always a best friend. And there's a couple ways you can do it. You don't have to do it on your body, you can do it off your body. So if you have a favorite pair of jeans that hit you at the perfect spot, you're going to want to measure those. Now, whether they're ones that you, that fit you off the rack or ones that you had hemmed at the tailor, if they hit you at a great place, find out what that measurement is. And the way to do it is you go from the inside seam of the crotch and you go all the way down like this there. Yay. Okay, so I think this hits right at 26, right? So that works. Now, if you don't have a favorite pair and you want to find out what your sweet spot is, what I recommend is, and I did this ahead of time. It's like a cooking show where like, it's already made. See, I made a little mark on my ankle right at the middle of the ankle bone, right with a pen and same thing go up to like kind of your pubic bone, like where your, your inner thigh is. Same thing that on is 26 inches. That's where the, the mark is. So that's how you know what your proper cropped length is. And then when you search online, you can say, oh good, that's a 26 inch inch inseam. That's perfect. For me or for you, it might be 25 or 24 or 30. I, I don't know because I'm not with you. But now you are empowered to make those decisions for yourself. I hope that helps. And have an amazeballs day.
