A short YouTube try-on where two speakers test four sheer Phyto-Rouge Shine lipsticks from the brand Sicily (Sheer Red Love, Sheer Peony, Sheer Cherry, Sheer Raspberry). The presenter demonstrates lining and application techniques (prefers a Ruby liner, avoids lining to the very corners for aging lips), comments on each shade’s tone and buildability, and gives personal preferences/reactions.

So when I get dressed up, I sometimes like wearing lipstick. I sometimes don't like wearing lipstick. I do think it makes a big difference in bringing life to the face and also making colors that you want to wear work better for you. So I love this brand, Sicily. They have really pretty colors that are sheer and buildable and also like a little moisturizing. So help me pick out what color you like the best. The four we're working with are sheer Red Love, sheer peony, sheer cherry, and sheer raspberry. So one of these fruits or flowers has got to work, right. I picked up this liner in Ruby because I think that Ruby is going to work with all of these colors. I feel like it's important to line my lips, especially as I get older, to help the lipstick stay within the lines. Another tip I received, and I think this was from Erica Taylor, who's a makeup artist. I follow as we age, we don't necessarily want to line all the way down to, like, the corners because it makes our lips look less pouty and more, like, down. So I've been doing it.
I think she's right.
Let's try sheer cherry. See, I don't like going all the way down. Feel like you have to be pretty precise when you're using reds, but it does give life. Two other things I do is, one, I do that, so I make sure that I get like that. What is it? Your cupid's bow. And the other one, Stick with me. Sorry, ladies. Is this so it doesn't end up on your teeth? I'm just being truthful. That's what I do. You do you. This works for me. Okay. This one's called sheer raspberry, and I'm not gonna do that liner, although I think they would work together, but I think it will be brighter. And this one's a little more subtle. Like I said, it's buildable. So I go over a few times.
I like that, too.
This one Sheer Peony would say this is the one I was most not sure about. Especially it's like sort of like a brick. Not brick. Like. Yeah, maybe brick red, because it looks like a brick. You know, it's like a little more rust in it. So let's see. I don't think on my peony as being this color, but that's what they call it. Who am I to say?
Okay, I can live with that.
I like that. It's like, it's yummy on the lips. Okay. This is sheer red love. I think this is, like, red when you think of red, red, red, which really is a blue red and really should look good on most. See. Again, buildable, which I like.
Oh, okay.
Do you hear me surprising myself? I'm like, oh, okay. Yeah, there's, like, more blue in it.
