So when we're talking about different denim jackets, I would say that this style, this was my first denim jacket ever. I think it's Gap. It's like a great sort of vintagey wash. It hits right about the hips. Again, I always like to roll the sleeves up a bit, but it goes with everything. So if we're talking about a wardrobe of jean jackets, and yes, I know I have a little addiction, I fully acknowledge and admit it. So my two basic ones are sort of this Zara one and this Gap one. And those go with the most and are the most. The most basic sort of. Which isn't bad basic, but the most basic. Then the next most important, I feel, is a cropped jean jacket, because that goes over skirts and dresses and sort of hits at a better point right at the waist. This happens to be a boys jacket, so it has that cropped look. And I tend to wear this a little more in the sun summer, when I'm wearing it with, like summer dresses. So that it's hitting at a good point. The same way you can wear like a dress cardigan. This is like a dress jean jacket. Then if we're talking about additional, there is the more like trucker vibe, which is a basic jean jacket, but longer. So this one happens to be distressed. I don't do a ton of distress. And then this is like a vintage Levi's. Same thing, sort of that longer trucker. But then I get into what I call, like styled jean jackets, and a few of them that I really like. This one is sort of a moto jacket. So I wear it like a moto jacket, except for it's like a lightweight denim. It's not as cropped as my kids one, but. But it's not as long as some of my others. And it already has that, like three quarter sleeve, so I don't need to roll it up. So that's a great. This is super old from Gap. There's also this one that I picked up at a vintage store last year. It is like Guess Marciano, I think, from the 90s. But retrofit is making something very similar now. So it has just a cool, like, standalone vibe. And then this one I think is like maybe the coolest thing I've ever seen. So it is a company that takes vintage Hermes. This is an Hermes horse blanket. They also take vintage scarves and they put them on jean jackets. So again, this is more memorable. It is what I call like a style jean jacket. So I love it, I wear it a ton. But I cannot wear this guy as often as I can wear this guy. Because there's not as much going on. There's not as much like frosting on this as there is on this one. But it does not mean that in the collection, it is not a vital piece. In the jean jacket collection, another question I get a lot is, can you wear denim and denim? The answer is, it's hard. You can do it. It can totally be done. But it takes. It's not like a 101 kind of thing. It's like a 2, 200 level course or a 300 level course. So let me see if I can show you. It's just, it's hard to find, like, the denim that sort of works with other denim. It. It just is. There are some that do, but it's not easy to sort of pull off and pull off easily. So what I like to do is pair a denim jacket back to white denim and or black denim. It still gives the total same vibe, but it helps break it up and makes it just a little more cohesive as an entire outfit. This is an outfit that I would most likely wear very often. My favorite viori joggers, a nice little T shirt and sneakers. And this would be a great run around. And it's fine. It's like literally a T shirt and joggers. But just wait, when a jean jacket is put over it, all of a sudden this is the third piece. And it just makes the whole outfit seem like a little more finished and intentional. So it's also great because going in and out of places, sometimes it's cold, sometimes it's hot. So this is one of my favorite pieces. Like, this is probably an outfit I would wear on an airplane if I ever get on an airplane again. But it's a great, great way to wear a jean jacket. And again, this is that basic one I told you. Like, this should be the first shape, style and wash of jean jacket if you don't have any in your repertoire. Yet another way I really like to style a jean jacket is over something that might technically be thought of as like a little fancier, like this jumpsuit because it helps, like, dress it down. So, yes, I could wear this to like a wedding or something that was a little more like black tie optional. But if I put a jean jacket over it, all of a sudden I could, like, wear it to dinner or I could wear it. It gives a lot more versatility to the outfit. So here I'm going to show you. Let's see. In fact, I think I'm Gonna grab, like, the basic. My basic Zara one again. So some of it is just easy to, like, throw over the shoulders. And all of a sudden, this same outfit feels a little less dressy, but still cool and finished. And if it's cold out, I can just put my. My arms through, so it looks really nice that way. And then one other thing I'll show you is that especially with dresses, I like to have a cropped version also, because it hits it like the place where a waist is. So for me, I happen to get this. It's a kids. It's a boys lace or boys jean jacket, rather. So because it is boys, it hits sort of at the proper waist, which gives a little more, like, hourglass figure. And then the arms are sort of already cropped. So that's another thing. I think this is a boys, like, 14, something like that. I think I got it at a thrift store, actually, but it's just a nice, easy way to sort of add a jean jacket and have it look even a little more put together, polished, and also, like, figure flattering. This jean jacket is definitely a retro vibe, like a total 90s THR throwback. In fact, I think it's guess by Marciano. I found it at a vintage store, but there are new brands that are making very, very similar lines, so I'll be sure to link some of those. But additionally, I think this just sort of dresses down, you know, like a coated jean and a heel and a T shirt, which is basically what I'm wearing, and it just adds, like, a little oomph. So this is a jacket I would not layer under anything else because there's so much bulk to it. But there are other jean jackets I have that I love layering. I love how a jean jacket looks layered under, like, an oversized blazer. I like having the arms come out so that, you know, it's more than just, you know, how, like, Veronica Beard and some other blazer manufacturers makes what is called the dickie. So it's just like a zip in piece of denim, which totally is a great look. But by having the sleeves come out, it sort of ties it all together, and it adds a nice other layer. This will not work under, like, a traditional suit blazer, a woman's suit blazer, that would not have enough oversize to fit a jean jacket under it. But this is like a boy blazer, so it totally works. And it's also nice that the blazer is longer than the jean jacket itself. So this would totally be like a girls night out. Date night kind of look for me. And it is a great thing also, when you're going on vacation and you bring your jean jacket to know that you can wear it alone, that you can layer it under something and it adds, like, an added layer of warmth in addition to an added layer of interest to the outfit.
