If you're struggling with what shoes you need for fall, winter this year, and what to pair them with and that kind of thing, Let me give you, like, a quick rundown, okay? There's five different shoes that I'm recommending all my personal styling clients either get or have for this fall. It will help things sort of, like, meld and feel cohesive and work right? Because if you're putting things on and you're like, these pants I wore all summer or these jeans I wore all summer with sandals, like, all sudden aren't working with my fall shoes. I got you, girl. I got you. Okay, five shoes. First, you need a daytime ankle boot. The daytime ankle boot might not be the daytime ankle boot you've worn in the past. If you wore that Sam Edelman Petty boot or this kind of boot. Those aren't necessarily working with the wider leg pants that we have now. Why? Because they worked when we wore skinny jeans and we needed something chunky at the bottom, that was balancing things out. Now pants are a little wider or they have a kick flare. And if you wear a chunky big boot, it's feeling too heavy at the bottom. So you need a daytime ankle boot. Number two, you need a nighttime ankle boot. Why? Same reason, but just something that feels more nighttime. So make sure it has a walkable heel. But it's a lot of the same elements. We're looking for something that has a more elongated or pointy toe box. We're looking for something that has a higher ankle shaft and a tighter ankle shaft in both of those ankle boots so that it feels slightly sleek compared to the wider pant. Then having a ballet flat or a loafer, that's also really helpful because if you've been wearing sandals in the summer, but then all of a sudden it's not really winter winter yet, and you want to show some skin or it feels too wintry to wear a boot. You want to have a belly flat. Earl over again. Think of something that's a little more elongated in the toe box. That's going to help it feel fresh. Then we want a sleek sneaker. Right? Because, again, chunky sneakers. Dad sneakers. Cool. But when your pant is wider, sometimes having something that's a little more sleeker and streamlined on the bottom helps it feel balanced and fresh. And last but not least, we're seeing a resurgence of tall boots. They were sort of out for a while, and they are way back in both a tall nighttime boot and a tall daytime boot. What's the difference, though? In the past, we were wearing boots that, when you had it with the skinny jean, it was very chunky. It either had, like, let's call it schmutz. You know, things like buckles and details and metal and all that kind of stuff on the top, around the ankle, all that kind of stuff. We don't want that. We want it to be clean. We want it to be sleek. We want the rest of the outfit to be the hero. And the boots are just this, like, clean foundation. Okay. Again, a little bit of a pointier toe box or a sleeker, elongated toe box. If you go for a lower heel, that totally works. If you go for a higher heel, that works. Also, if I were gonna add and make six, I'd have a tall boot that is a little wider that you can put pants into. And I do a tall boot that's tight that you can wear with dresses. So you really see the shape of your legs. So it's five, six boots and shoes that will make your fall.
