King Keto shares how he coped with losing his father, his best friend and mentor, by focusing on financial advice and staying busy to support his family.
What was that like to lose him? Like, how did you get through that? Obviously painful. You lose your best friend who's also your father. You know, he was a mother's mentor, right? When somebody that kills themselves, it kind of with your belief system, especially when your beliefs are based off the things he told you. But what I realized, how I got through that was I realized a lot of stuff he was telling me was based off the mistakes he made. So one thing he told me was like, yo, man, save half of your money. I save, and I invest half of all my income, because that's how you get rich, right? You got to make more money than you spend and invest the difference, and over a long enough period of time, you'll get, like, really rich. It's just little stuff like that. But how I dealt with the pain is I just worked through it. I kept myself busy. I didn't have time to sit around crying or being sad because, you know, family's depending on me now, so it just worked.
