Many entrepreneurs feel busy but unproductive because they lack clear goals, or a "true north." Review your calendar and to-do list against these rocks to decide what to delegate, eliminate, or focus on.

If you're always busy but don't feel productive, this is probably why it's so easy to have our calendar fill up with to do's and be so in the weeds of the business that we just feel like we could never catch up, we could never get it all done. But when you know very clearly your goals of where you're headed, I call it your true north. Then you can create what we call rocks in eos, which is an operating system that I use to run my business. But we can create rocks. What are the key, most important, important things that we need to accomplish or that I need to accomplish in order to achieve the goal that I have set out for the quarter and then, you know, for the year and beyond that. And that way I know when I look at my calendar and when I look at my to dos, when I reflect on my goals, is everything that I'm doing critical to move the needle in the direction of my goal? And if it is not, I either delegate it to the person that it is, if it's not my highest and best use of time, or I remove it altogether from the calendar, or I do it because it is critical and important and I am productive. And I know that I am maybe busy, but I am busy doing the things that are the most productive for my business.
