He Built Multiple Companies by Avoiding This One Thing
19 Aug 2025 · 66 min
Garon Jones went from homelessness and $250,000 in debt to building multiple companies. His shift came in 2011 when he stopped trying to force success and started working with his inner child instead. He built companies around play and energy rather than grinding.

For those of you who don't have the pleasure of knowing my friend Garon Jones, he is literally the definition of transformation.
I was living in my car for two and a half years, sleeping in abandoned buildings, sleeping on bubble wrap, and I'm just like, there's no possible way that I was put on this earth as a miracle to pay bills and die, to pass that on to my kids. When a child does not honor what is naturally in their spirit, they will find unhealthy ways to express, and that's what turns into porn, drugs, over sexualizing, alcohol, you name it. All of those are forms of expression, but they're unhealthy because the point of origin of your natural expression isn't getting met. Not honoring what's naturally inside of me. And everyone telling me to shut up because I always wanted to sing. Well, then that turned into me sleeping around with all these women and me doing all these things, breaking into cars. They're all forms of unhealthy expression. And that's what led me ultimately to crash and burn over and over and over. And now we're here, and the same person that was passionate about singing sings as loud as he wants. And every day, because no one. I will never give someone else outside of me permission to take away something that God has put inside of me.
Welcome back to the Hannah Hammond Show. I'm sitting here today with one of the most. I don't want to say the most because I don't want to leave anyone out, but probably the most beautiful human I have ever met in my entire life. Like, you are just such an incredible soul, and you have this energy that is the most grounded, connected, loving, abundant. You exemplify what I am striving to accomplish in the world, and you give out what I want to give out in the world, and you just bring up the energy and the connection and the joy and the love of everybody that you encounter. So, first off, I want to just say thank you for all of that and for being such a beautiful human inside and out.
Mm. I'm just. I need about three seconds to receive the words from someone that I admire, that I'm inspired by, that constantly gives, constantly serves, constantly wants to learn and grow, and is a badass. So, like, kudos and ditto to you, my friend.
Thank you. Thank you. Yeah. So, for. For those of you who don't have the pleasure of knowing my friend Garon Jones, he is literally the definition of transformation, and he is the definition of relentless and the definition of turning pain into purpose and Impact. And I mean I want you to share your story and I know it's long but we can, we can share pieces of it and some of those rock bottom moments or those transformative events. But I mean from the time you were born, you could say that your cards were not laid out well for you.
No, not at all. Yeah, not even I probably could have written a best selling book by the time I was 5 years old on transformation and what me and my family, especially me, had to adapt to. And I would say my earliest memory is being four years old. There's commotions in the house. You know when you're a little kid there's a lot of stuff you don't remember, but you remember things that impact you. And my mom saying pick which parent you want to go with. I don't want to choose out of the unit. I don't want to choose. And I remember making a decision to go with my dad because he was the easier of the parent. And then something rose up inside of my belly. What I now know is my intuition said stop the car, go with your mom, go with your mom, go with your mom. And then I ended up, we drove back to my mom a few years later, the house that I would have been in, my father was murdered.
Oh my God.
You know what I'm saying? So it's like there's that story and then being the same age four and there's a grown man that says hey, you want to go to Disneyland? And I'm like yeah, because when you're a little kid and you see what you see on tv, it's the land of make believe. So like if you get into that dryer, which was a community dryer, you'll go to Disneyland. And I remember saying to myself at 4, that doesn't make sense. But it's the land of make believe. So I'm just going to believe I'm going to Disneyland and maybe this is the route. I'm four. So this grown man picks up a four year old child, puts him in the community dryer and tries to kill him. Thank God someone saved my life. And so my life has been many, it's not even a few, many times where it seemed like I wasn't supposed to live or I wasn't supposed to make it. My cars weren't dealt. My family doesn't come from money. People didn't know how to make money. It was all fear based and it was like no entrepreneurs as far as the eye could see. But I was the one that was always Getting kicked out of school. Thank God I got kicked out of school because I didn't get indoctrinated by those white walls and those, those lights that, that, that the same lights that are in hospitals, same lights that are in prisons inside of school, and all I would do is look out the window and say, I feel like I'm supposed to be out there. And you know, I could be on here talking about how much trouble I got. I got in trouble, kicked out of public school, in and out of juvenile, in and out of jail, or I could talk about. All of those are forms of expression. Because the origin of my expression, a little kid who wanted to sing loud, where everyone told him to shut up, stuffed down his artist, stuffed down what he always wanted to do, and then started to live a life based off of what everybody else wanted him to do. So I could talk about me going in and out of prison, or I can go straight to the point when a child does not honor what is naturally in their spirit that they will find unhealthy ways to express. And that's what turns into porn, drugs, over sexualizing, alcohol, you name it, physical abuse, rape, all of those are forms of expression, but they're unhealthy because the point of origin of your natural expression isn't getting met. So that was me. And so you fast forward to when you think about ABCs that turn into sentences, paragraphs, essays, books. Well, the ABCs of not honoring what's naturally inside of me and everyone telling me to shut up because I always wanted to sing. Well, okay, well then that turned into me sleeping around with all these women and me doing all these things, breaking into cars. They're all forms of unhealthy expression. And that's what led me ultimately to crash and burn over and over and over to the point where 2011, as I closed this part of my story out, I was $250,000 in debt, ex convict, couldn't take care of my own daughter because I didn't even know how to take care of myself. Mom dying in the hospital. I was living in my car for two and a half years, sleeping in abandoned buildings, sleeping on bubble wr. And I'm just like, there's no possible way that I was put on this earth as a miracle to pay bills and die and to pass that on to my kids. So it was 2011 at 3:43 in the morning. And that's when it all came. That was the rock bottom of my rock bottom of my rock bottom. And I was like, okay, I'm tired of fighting. I don't want to fight anymore. I want to be healthy. I want to be happy. I want to be surrounded by nothing but positive people. I just want to inspire people, and I want to make a bunch of money. But I want the money to represent something that I passionately believe in, that I would do for free. Just show me a sign. Show me a sign. Peak state. One week later, I meet a homeless person at a gas station that asked me for money. I said, you have more money than me. And he said, change your mindset. Change your life. And that it was that statement right there that created a conscious interrupt that then said, well, maybe my whole life has been a lie based off of how I've been thinking. So what if I start doing the opposite of everything that I wouldn't normally do in areas of my life where I wasn't happy? I wasn't happy with my weight, my health, my friends, my relationships, who I was as a person, who I was as a son, as a father. So every area of my life, I literally started doing the opposite. So leadership seminars, masterminds, reading books, stop watching tv, stop listening to the radio. And like, literally investing into forging myself into the future as the highest and fullest expression of myself literally created the inverse of who I was back when I was a walking dead person. And now we're here. And the same person that was passionate about singing sings as loud as he wants every day. Because no one. I will never give someone else outside of me permission to take away something that God has put inside of me. No idea that that was gonna take me to 97 countries, speaking to over 2.7 million people, earning millions of dollars in three different companies. I mean, and it feels effortless. Why? Because I paid the price. And all I've got to do is bring my fullest and highest expression and then teach other people how to do that and not live as a limitation, not even for a fragment of themselves. And that's what has me sitting in this chair right now, filled with humility and grace and poise. Very clear and very certain and very, very, very grounded, because I know what the other side looks and feels like.
That's so beautiful. And I think it's something that so many people don't even realize how detached they are from their inner child and how detached they are from who they even are. And that we, based on our environment and based on what we get rewarded for or punished for as a little baby or a child or through our even early adulthood, we lean more into the things that people reward us for.
That's energy. That's like a flower. If a flower is next to the window, it's not leaning towards the shade, it's leaning to what's giving it energy. So when a child, a flower is not being recognized here, they will literally, I feel like the first abandonment, it doesn't come from mom or dad. It's when the child abandons themselves. The truest part of themselves, when they abandon that to then go to where the energy is. There are people that will sell their whole souls because something feels safe in an energy that they don't actually even agree with. I see it all the time. And so that child, when you see, when you feel like mommy cares, like mommy acts and matter of fact, mommy's gonna expose you to the thing that you're naturally showing when you give that to, even when you're an adult and you give that to your inner child. Oh, the level of healing that can happen within 30 minutes is, I mean it's insurmountable because that's what the child is craving. Connection from yourself.
How do you get reconnected to yourself? How do you find yourself? And you know, people, I think it's such a abstract idea of like they have this idea of who they are because that's the ego and that's what they built over some years. But like, how do they get that awareness then that intuition that something's off here? I, I don't know, like something feels wrong. I'm angry, I'm sad, I'm frustrated, I'm blaming everything around me and even get that awareness. And then what steps did you take? Yeah, to like really change?
Well, one, we all know, everybody knows now if you want to do something about it, that's another thing. But everybody knows when something's off. You know, when you're dating that guy, you know you don't want to be in that relationship. But y' all invested all this time, Next thing you know, you're walking down the aisle in a marriage you know you don't want to be in. And then five years later, all these blow ups happen and you're like, I don't know what happened. Yeah, you lied in the beginning. So we all know now the question is why is the number one fear in the world public speaking that's even more than death. You gotta be kidding me. Yeah, well, public speaking doesn't come from the throat. It comes from the confidence that's even in your sacral chakra, your belly, your confidence. This is why there's a MeToo movement because all of those women didn't feel safe enough to actually speak up. And there's so many men that don't tell the truth, so they'll just, like, weasel around and say a fragment of it. That's the real conversation. So we all know it's like, are you avoiding, like. But when you look in the mirror, nobody's around and the truth shows up, that person knows. Now, if you want to look at it or not, that's on you. Now, what I do, and I'll tell you, I have a client because 94% of my clientele is powerful, driven women. They're all, like, killing it in life, which we should just call it living it. I had a client, and she's worth about $150 million. And she came to me. She's like, garen, I have everything. I have the cars, I have the money, I. I have the husband, I have the kids, and something is missing. I said, what did you used to love to do as a child that brought you the most joy? And she had to think about it. She's like, I used to dance. And instantly her whole energy changed just in the thought about what she used to do that brought her the most joy. People don't ask these questions. She, I used to dance. I was like, when was the last time that you gave yourself full permission to dance like you did when you were a little kid? She was like, like, I watched her body go like this 20 years ago. And I said, you have kids, right? She said, yes. I said, if your daughter comes up to you or your son and goes, mom, Mom, Mom, Mom, mom, mom, listen to me. And you never acknowledged that child for 20 years. What do you think the relationship is going to be like? She said, it wouldn't be one. I said, right, because there's no emotional, closer closure. Let's just play a game of thinking all possibilities. Let's just imagine that your inner child and the thing that you used to love is every time you see somebody doing it, there's like a little thing that happens inside. Like, I remember I used to love that. Imagine that, that inner child going, mom, mom, mom. But you ignore that child for 20 years, what do you think the relationship was going to be like? That's where the disconnect is. It's from the physical and the spiritual self, but the moment you become aligned. That's why birds can fly. Birds flight is the bird's version of abundance. And not just in money. I know so many, so many outwardly wealthy people. I have five minute conversation. I can, I can share every area in their life where they're broke and poor and where they're overcompensating and masking. And I'm like, that is actually deteriorating your age because of the masking and overcompensating. So what I would say and what I said to my client, I said, you used to love dancing. She was like, yeah. I was like, sign up for a dancing class once a week. But how am I going to scale? Fuck the scaling. This is your heart. Scale your heart. The highest frequency of the EKGs literally comes from the heart. Doesn't come from your business. And I said, Give 30 minutes. At least 30 minutes once a week. But you don't take the adult. Take the little kid who just loves dancing. No rhyme, no rhythm, it doesn't matter. And just allow yourself in the possibility of play. That will create a sense of trust and connection with the body because you're giving yourself permission. And most people haven't given themselves permission to be who that is because I'm too old or because my dad wants this or my mom wants this. So you find one thing that you used to love. You don't remember. Ask somebody from when you were a little kid. What did I used to naturally love when I was a little kid? Oh, you used to love Barbies and creating the houses. Had another client, she was like, but I don't understand, by the way, she's a world class realtor. Said, what do you love about real estate? She was like, I love just seeing the people's faces when I get the houses using real estate development. When I doll up all the houses, I say, you know the words you just used when I doll up all the houses? So you're literally living in your dharma. That's why you're so happy. It's because you were doing this when you were a little kid. It's just fully, fully realized. That's what I would do. And that's very simple. 30 minutes a week. And you give yourself the opportunity to have an inner child date. Don't take the adult and just say, I give myself full permission to play. And you're going to start remembering things and feeling things that you haven't felt in a long time.
Do you think that is enough to change the course of someone's life?
100%? Think about it. Someone could be the most extraordinary human perceived by all. They could say f you on live TV to the wrong person. And that one act can literally alter the course of his life and how he's perceived and all those different things. So any slight variation, this is how powerful we are as beings. Any slight variation that's out of your normal habitual behavior in a direction that's connected to the elevation of the human spirit will 100% cause change. But you got to understand, we're not looking for the giant well in the ocean. We're looking for the little seahorse that goes. Because that seahorse is the same thing as an acorn that has the power to grow into a giant oak tree. Most people looking for the big things don't realize the small things are actually the real big things. Yeah, it's the subtleties of life. So 100% that in itself, if it's not something you do, you're like, I don't have enough time for yourself. Yeah, that makes sense. Why you're unhappy in specific areas because you don't make time for you. Well, I'm in a relationship, but I just feel like they don't see me. But you don't see yourself because you don't make time for you. Well, I just feel like he is this or she is this. When was the last time you said I love you to yourself? Oh, about two months ago. If they went in the. If you hear I love you every day, and then all of a sudden you don't hear it for two months, what would happen? Oh, I would question. We wouldn't even be in a relationship. I said, there's your answer right there. Everything is going to come right back to you. So the moment you realize everything you're looking for is inside my role in this world, Teach people how to look inside. Because you'll give your power away out there. And that's. That's. That doesn't create healthy evolution.
Yeah, that was what I had to learn, too. I think I. Same thing I was that. That flower growing to what gave me energy in all the wrong places. And engaged to a drug addict, became a drug addict, also engaged to a drug dealer, Was engaged twice and had those feelings, you know, always high performing, but also high if I wasn't performing. And just whatever gave me that attention or whatever I thought I had to look like, whatever I thought I had to act like, whatever I thought I had to talk like. And I was so miserable and like, what. What is this buzz inside of me that won't go away? And I'm so anxious and I'm depressed and I want to kill myself and I have no friends and I have no. I can talk to or trust, accept this attention from this horrible human that shows me some sort of love to, you know, whatever, all these things. And then I had to realize I had to get to rock bottom where I wanted to take my life and realize that was that intuition, like, but I had never felt right, so I didn't know it existed. And that was that hopelessness of, like, why am I here? What is the point of it all? Because this is painful.
Yep.
And now that I truly, like, absolutely love every single day. And I, of course, I have my challenges and my struggles, and I, I now embrace them with every fiber of my being. Because that's life. Like, that's, that's growing, that's learning, that's impacting. And, but it, it was, no, it was changing my mindset to, instead of, this is all, why is this happening to me? Why me? Why do I look this way? Why do I have this family? Why do I attract these men? Why can't I have a rich, you know, mentor or like, family or somebody? Like, instead of being the victim and starting to think, okay, what can I do differently? And who am I really? Because clearly I'm not living in integrity with who I really am. And the thing that helped me was an energetic intelligence coach that even taught me about energy. I didn't even know what that meant. And then learning that somebody that vibrates at the highest frequency, and we were just talking about this, brings up, like someone that's fully actualized, a fully realized self and up near self actualization or as high as a, as connected as they could possibly be to their highest potential, their highest form of expression, as you say, that brings up everything around them, like hundreds of people around them. And so that's where I became obsessed with, once I realized I can create whatever I want in the world, like the, the world is my blank canvas, and I could create whatever I want. And I can think as big and abundant as I want. And I can create literally, like, if human existence can exist, we can create anything. It's infinite, right?
Yeah. So beautiful.
And being able to help, like, people. I have such a soft spot for people that are so miserable and anxious and depressed and disconnected and scarcity mindset and bad relationships and addicted behavior behaviors. But I was that person for the first 25 years of my life.
Yeah.
You could argue even longer than that. Um, but yeah, I, I, I just went on a long tangent. But ultimately, I don't think, you know, until, you know, different.
Yeah.
And so for people like you who try to teach this.
Yeah.
When it's not something that's very conceptual or logical because you only know the suffering that you're currently in.
Absolutely.
I love that your first idea is play and, like, feed that inner child and. And what do you do after that?
So. Yeah. So basically, context is everything. You know, if you give somebody context and a point of relatability, everything, all of the patterns and sequences start making sense. And so if you feel better, it affects how you work. Mm. It affects your health, affects how you think. How you think affects how you speak. How you speak affects your actions, and your actions affect the outcome. So what I do is teach people how to notice what's typically unnoticed. And it's just the subtle changes that are out of your ordinary rhythm that simultaneously happen the moment you changed your energy. So it's teaching people how to catch the rhythm of nature and how they can see certain things that they. You know, it's you. You want to becomes like, you tap into this level of you. You don't. You want a blue car. You never thought about a blue car. Then all of a sudden, you're like, I'm gonna get a blue car. You see a blue car in every block. You're like, I'm seeing blue cars everywhere. So there's a place that happens in your brain. It's always, always there. But awareness and context and a point of relatability is what makes that even the fractals of your life make so much sense, because you can't see the picture while you're in the frame. I teach people what's in the frame. And then I'm like, do you see that? It's all about comprehension. It's the same thing that happened in elementary school. You have comprehension tests to see if you comprehend what you're being taught. Most people learn in theory, but they don't learn in the body. So the next place I go is the body. It's like, I know a bunch of smart people. Smart. And intelligence in. Especially in the Western culture, is associated with somebody who has a lot of knowledge. But knowledge doesn't equate to wisdom. Knowledge is somebody with. That's continuous study, and they have a really good memory. That's not true intelligence. True intelligence is found in the wisdom in the body. That's like, you get a cut, and then all of a sudden it grow. You're like, yo, it healed. That's intelligence. You know, my one, we were fortunate enough to have two babies in our home. Home births. They said, blair, push. She was like, I don't have to. Something's already pushing. That's intelligence. So the moment we get to play, it brings up a vibration in your body of safety. Have so many women as well? I work with so many women. I wouldn't set out to do that. But they're like, I've never felt this safe in the presence of another masculine man who doesn't want anything from me. Play brings safety to the nervous system. The safer you feel, the easier it is to heal, the easier it is to transform, the easier it is to have a new. A new sense of awareness. But you just. Sometimes people play to escape. I'm not talking about playing escape or working out to escape. It's playing to remember. And those are two different contexts, two different results. I give these contexts. Play is going to open up the body once we get to the body, and you can feel the vibration. Oh, now this is where I do my real work is because that's where the ancient and ancestral work. That's with the. The. The inherent intelligence is. But you've got to understand how frequency and vibration works. But frequency is the only. It's the point of contact. In anything after the point of contact is called resonance. And that's what you're speaking to, is that one person that rises can lift up all those people. So one person in resonance, like when they are in the right field, that field will then harmonize with everybody's what, everybody's walls, and it'll just lift them up. One of my greatest gifts is to teach on resonance. And I can teach it very practically, but we've got to get you in the body first, not the head. The head is analytical. It's like speaking two different languages. Yeah, we got to get you in the wisdom of the body through the play is the access point. And then once you are open and available and it's like, oh, I feel this joy now we start talking about things that you held on to and certain things from your past. But you've got this inherent resonance that's supporting the safety in the body. Then we go to the body. Once we go to the body, then we start extracting all the stuff that most people don't even know that's there. You don't even know that it's there. I did 15 years of work to learn about what's there and how to do it. And I love puzzle pieces and everything. And then once that is. Is. Is. Is open, then I'm like, okay, so your body is needing soft power, not hard power. Hard power is going against your resonance, which is going against your safety. And the moment you don't feel safe, now you're on guard. Now you're back to the automat. So it's different with different people. But, like at my retreats, the field of resonance transforms every single person in the room because I speak into all those different places.
It's, you know. Do you. You obviously know Gabor Mate, doctor?
Yeah.
Yeah. I was at one of his workshops, and he said his gravestone will say, that was a lot more work than I anticipated. But I've been doing the work, too, and realizing I didn't know I had, you know, trauma, Right. I didn't know what that was. And I knew that everything was not perfect all the time. And I suffered a lot of pain, mostly internally, but I didn't know anything about the work or what healing was or that I even had problems. I just thought, life equals pain, and for some reason, I'm miserable. And that was all I really knew. I didn't know that there was, like, another option out there. Um, but then as I started to explore the work and study Dr. Gabor Mate and listen to people like you who are transforming the world and transforming themselves and doing therapy, and I did plant medicine journeys, and those were massive. But it was during a plant medicine journey that I was doing with a shaman that I felt for the first time I had nothing to distract me. No addiction to distract me. No work, no money, no attention, no food. Like, none of my addictions, which I'm a very, you know, addictive. I've always been a disconnected person seeking dopamine to fill whatever hole or numbness I had inside of me. And it was in this journey where I was laying there with myself for five hours with a mask on in one spot, with nothing other than ceremonial music, and I just felt the pain inside my whole body and the tightness, like, of my shoulders and my back. And I always had back and neck problems, and I thought it was my scoliosis, but I felt all this tightness. And through a series of other work and ceremonies and journeys, at one point, I saw the pain that my. My brother had that, you know, the people that had hurt me, I saw their pain for the first time. And I had only ever seen my pain. And. And through this work, I felt all this resentment release from my body, and I literally felt like a new human. Like, once my body was. I was connected again. It was almost like I had been disconnected my whole life.
Yeah.
And then I was reconnected, and it felt like everything in my body changed. And I walked into my hairdresser and she's like, your energy is way different. Like, what, something happened or like you're just a new person. And I didn't even know that I was giving off that energy and that I was always like this and. And I still have it. And that's why I want to ask for your help because I do a lot of this work and I consider myself to be a very connected person now. But I still get back into my old habits or get, you know, I also want to build a billion dollar company and I have, like, I want to impact the whole world and I have all these big dreams because I. I feel like my cup is filled from impact and I want to impact others. And the goal is just a. A means to create that impact.
Yes.
But I still pick my nails non stop. You probably see me over here picking my nails. I still impulsively eat. I still feel the buzz inside of me, even though it's not like that constant crippling. So I'm like, how do I remove the brick from my head that creating something massive and great and high impact and change the world one person at a time. How do I have that vision without the belief that I'm gonna have to sacrifice connection and play and joy and all these things and not feel so like I want to get rid of the buzz a little bit.
Yeah, you know, I get you. I got you.
Okay.
Had a friend in the music industry who had it all. So I thought, and I was patterning, one day I'm going to live like that. And then he put a bullet into his brain. And I was like, wait a second. That's who I'm following. He killed himself. He had all the stuff he didn't have himself. And that's when I went on this journey of creating my version of success. But it could not mirror what somebody else deemed success was. And my version of success was when I look in the mirror and the truth shows up, I'm genuinely happy with what I see. And before I go to bed at night, there's no voices in my head. So I literally started striving for whatever would create that. I had no idea it would come. With all these companies and patents and I mean, I've had people that are investors, they're like, garen, you're the luckiest person alive. Like, how are you 15 for 15 when it comes to investments that hit every single time? Because I don't invest in people or products, there's a resonance. And every time my body feels truth I just will invest in that resonance and it tends to just do cool shit. So my advice to you is, if there's anywhere in your life where you are avoiding feeling.
Yeah.
Anywhere, that's your bottleneck. Because the thing about it is you can have this billion dollar company, you can have all those things, it will never solve the problem of someone who's avoiding their beyond billion dollar self. And if you could get that, you are actually all of it. You're not separate from none of it. People's, oh my God, the moon and the stars and they're like, wow, the eclipse is crazy. And they look in the mirror and see, that's the bottleneck. Now if you could wow the shit out of yourself in even the most avoidable parts. Wow, look at that. Wow, look at your hands. When you feel nervous and wow. And you look in the mirror and you do that, you'll start recoding your body. Because all of that is all of this. And I had to learn the hard way, but I manifested my way out of a 12 year prison sentence in two and a half years. Once I realized the power of all of this, I'm like, oh, there's another world beyond this linear physical world. The other day was like, I don't, I can't. Why do you always talk about multi dimensional? I don't believe in. I was like, you ever had a dream before? Fuck. Do you think that comes from just picking your nails and all of a sudden you have a dream at night about ancient Greek, Roman time or something like that. You had an intuition or a hit and all of a sudden it happens, there's another world. We're multi dimensional beings living a linear life. And the more that you operate from, from the facet of being linear, you'll take away from the full spectrum, spectrum of who you really are. Beyond the world of thought, beyond the world of image, beyond the world of even money. That's a. Money is a piece of paper with preconceived value. They can literally take right now, right now, 500 million, say it's 25 cents tomorrow and everybody would go fucking crazy. That's what they make their God. Anything that has power over you becomes your God. So once you strip away all the layers and you give the power back to this multi dimensional self, the way you sit in your body will be grounded. So then you'll pull from all of the dimensions and it'll house it into this one vessel. It's almost like you know a secret that nobody knows. But those who know, know who knows? And you don't have to say, you know, it's just a way of being. It's in the being, it's not in the doing. So if I were you, I would work harder on yourself and the air. Not the easier areas, the areas you're like, I don't want to look at that. And you find somebody that can pull out of you what you can't pull out of yourself. Because I get it, you're a high roller, you get it, you get done. I can already, I can already tell, like I've been leading and developing leaders for over 15 years. So all I do is study character analysis all day long. You got the whole thing. So any part that you're avoiding, you're like, ah, but if this is a little bit better than other people around me, or if it's just better, I don't have to look at this thing. The thing that you don't want to look at is where your bottleneck is. And the moment you walk through that bottleneck and say, I accept all of me, I love every part of me. The shameful, the guilty, the ugly, the shadows, everything. I love this part of me. You just give yourself soft power. That hard power, you got that on lock, you were born into it. Soft power. And embrace yourself in that way. It will start recoding the nervousness and the things like that. Because all it is, it's an avoiding, it's an overcompensating antic of avoidance. But the moment you're like, I receive all of me and I'm going to do whatever, that's the work I'm going to do. You find somebody that can pull that out of you. Shit, billion dollars. It's going to feel effortless. There will be no try in that. Because now you'll be operating from all cylinders and not the linear one. The linear one will have you. The, the human. It, it's the, it's the. The most limited version of your true self is to operate in the 3D in this linear world when we have all these other dimensions going at the same time.
Yeah. Do you know William Lamb?
I'm familiar of the name.
I think he spoke at Genius at one point. But I had dinner with him last night, I think and he was talking about the multi dimensions and creating from the quantum realm and all, you know, all these things that I'm just now learning about and studying and these different ideas and perceptions.
Yeah, don't go down the rabbit hole. Find a way. Because it's, it's in it doesn't end.
Yeah.
Don't go down the rabbit hole. Find practicality in the quantum. This is why I work with the little kid, because the little kid is the quantum. So I just make it easy for people. I can speak into my level of education, but I probably reach 2% of the world's population. I'd rather speak into what people can apply right now.
Yeah.
The child inside of you, the one that feels seen, heard, mattered, safe, acknowledged, celebrated and celebrates themselves is the human realized version of the quantum. So if you tap into it another level. Another level.
So when you were in prison.
Yeah.
In a French prison.
Yeah.
Sentenced to 12 and a half years. How did you get through that mentally?
The first two years were really, really, really difficult. You ever just was waiting for something to happen and then you look at a clock and, and you watch the time go. It goes by really slow. I was watching the clock for two years in a 12 year sentence. So I'm not getting out. I was busted for smuggling fricking 6.2 kilos of heroin from one country to the next. I didn't know I was smuggling heroin. I just knew I was doing something bad in a vehicle that I know didn't belong to me. It turns out it was like stolen luxury vehicle and all these other things. Mind you, to this day I've never had a sip of alcohol. I was like the cleanest person that you could ever, ever come across. And I'm in prison, busted for drugs. So it didn't make sense to nobody. But everybody has a shadow self. That ego. I let it get the best of me. I'm like, ah, greed, greed, money. More, more, more, more will never be enough. And I learned that the hard way. So I'm in prison, never thinking I'm going to get out. Then all of a sudden we were able to watch movies once a month. Shawshank Redemption is a movie that's based out of prison. And Tim Robbins, which was the lead actor, he said, they can take anything they want away from me, but they can't take away my mind. This is back in 2002. And instantly I was like, oh my God. I know why I'm in prison. Because when I was free, I used to say, I feel like I'm so far away from where I'm supposed to be. I feel like I'm in prison inside of my own body. And more was never enough. More. No. Next. Next. Give me the next big thing. Next. Next. Next. Next. Oh, that's an endless well that nobody will ever fulfill because what you're ultimately saying is, I'm not worthy of being enough. It's ultimately what that is. So in that moment when I know I manifested my way in prison by saying, I'm in prison far away in France, I said, well, in that case, I'm a free man. And then I said, what would a free man do? And a voice inside, I need y' all to really pay attention to this. Everything you used to love to do as a kid that made you the most happy. And I literally had to jog my memory. What did I used. I used to love to sing, but I stopped because everybody told me to shut up. I used to love to run, but I stopped because it got too hard and I wouldn't train because I was chasing women. And I used to love to motivate people even when I was like 5 and 6. But I was not a. I was afraid to speak from the heat. The stuff that was inside that saying, do this even when I was a little kid. So I stopped doing everything that he said love to do. So I'm in prison in France, thousands of miles away, serving a 12 year sentence. And in that moment, I became a free man because I was like, I wasn't doing that when I was free. So I realize there's two different versions of freedom. There's outside freedom and there's the power to possess your own mind. There's inside freedom. Must work harder on yourself than you do on your job. And I learned to forgive, forgave the two men who murdered my father. Letting go of all this resentment, I'm like writing letters. I'm like letting go of everything. Every little lie that I told, I. I'm like, I lied about this. I lied about this. I'm from elementary all the way up. And I was like, man. And I started feeling this energy. It's like my brain started calming down. I started painting portraits of other people's family members. And they were like, inmates. Killers were like, happy. Thank you so much. And they're like, can I get you anything in my head? I'm like, no, I just want you to be happy. So I just kept overflowing from what I was giving myself first. I need everybody to hear this. Everyone outside of me benefited from my overflow that I gave to myself first. They didn't get from my exhaust. Now I couldn't see that this is as I connect the dots looking backwards on my life. But I was in the fullest expression of little Garen, who was just doing everything he loved to do that Made him the most happy when I felt free. Everybody, please listen to this. Not when I was fighting for freedom. You can't fight for something that only you can give to yourself in prison. That's when I became free. Listen to the irony in losing my freedom. I discovered my freedom, and when I felt free, it's about two and a half years, they magically called me into the office. They had no reason. They already Tested the drugs three times. 6.2 kilos of heroin. And all of a sudden, I'm in a completely different field, completely different state frequency vibration. I'm resonating around the entire prison. Jones, we retested the drugs, and for the amount that was real, you've already done the time. 90% was fake. You're free to go home.
Oh, my God.
So since 2005, I traveled all over the world and invested and studied under some of the greatest minds, the greatest spiritual teachers, trying to figure out what was that powerful that it can override anything that a human can set in stone. Kept coming back to energy frequency vibration. So I found a palpable way to teach it through the inner child. So the resonance that you feel is the field that I play in on a daily basis, and it just allows me to be in the world and experience myself. And it's true. There's no. And anytime weeds want to come up, I have the right people in my life that hold me high. I do not surround myself around. Yes people. I have the accountability group. I have the right coaches. I keep outgrowing my coaches, but, like, fuck it. That's a. You'll know. You need to get a new one. So. But. But it's. It's. It is what it is. And so when it's time to grow, it's time to find the right teachers. And I always find the right teachers because they just, like, show up when my soul is. Is. Is requesting.
How have you maintained this state of connection and play and inner child while still building big companies?
Because I community. But also built my. Also build companies around the inner child.
Yeah.
Like, literally built a company called Artist Power that teaches all on every level. You can possibly think of ways to tap into your original state and then thrive from that power. And so everything I do must contain everything that I am. I am no longer going to sacrifice. There's no. I got a couple of patents and a couple of things coming out, but it was little Garin who created them. And what do I do? Surround myself by other people who are in that vibration. That is the quickest Way to rise, to compress time frames to be held and hold the frequency over a long period of time. When you're not the only one, you're not the most powerful person in the room. When there's other. When you're surrounded by the Avengers of consciousness and you're like, oh, shit, we can all learn from each other and we're all rising together because that shared economy, I mean, I took it from when I first started investing five years ago and I was investing in this toy company and I was like, I just love how I feel when I'm playing with the toy. And then I'm in Austin. Then all of a sudden I looked under the deck and I saw all the people. I was like, wait, these are all my friends. I was like, wait a second. They're all investing into everybody's everything and everybody's rising simultaneously. And I was like, oh, I like this lesson. I want to create community communities where everybody's investing in everybody's everything. So everybody transforms together. And that's how I do it. Everything that I create has the seed of everything that I'm talking about. Even if it's like a leadership something talking about business, it's not the analytical part of the business, it's the leadership. Lead yourself into a vibration and discover your soul and reimagine your soul in a way that you couldn't even fathom because you can't see the soul. Well, my role is every soul has a map. Every map needs a guide. I teach people how to turn on the flashlight to their soul. And I'll be like this right here. This is the pattern that's showing up in your life and this. So even in that high level leadership I work with like high founders and CFOs, they only get, they only get that part, the soul reimagined program. That's only. It's like people doing big shit. They only get that. I don't do that for somebody who's just learning. I was like, what's mindset? They won't get that version of me. Because this version of me is, it's, it's, it's designed for very high caliber people. So we can meet the rhythm of your high caliber, but also have you to understand your system. Your system and how you operate like you understand your business system. But when both of them are being held by the same resonance now you're not in conflict, it actually becomes part of the same vibrational unit. And that's how I do it. I'm not separate on Any occasion to anything that I create. That's why I can do 15 things. But you never get tired. There's more power in the ocean than there are the rivers. So why don't I just focus on the deep well that feeds all the rivers?
Yeah, that's amazing. You're just amazing. I want to continue to grow in that space of, you know, connection, abundance, vibrance, creation, play all these things. And I feel so good when I'm really connected to my inner self.
Yeah.
And then there's level 10 EOs, meetings with KPIs and metrics and this and that. And, you know, you kind of, you know, are we hitting our goal? Are we on track? What is our lead flow? What's our dollar? What's our expenses? All these things. And so, you know, what I do in that. What.
Is the power of delegation? And I will train somebody and I will shadow. I will have somebody shadow me. I was like, now watch how I do it. Like, yes, I'm fun and play and everything, but my high level ticket sales, 94%. It's unheard of. Even with ticket, like 100. I mean, $40,000. You want to work with me? 12 sessions, $140,000. Boom. And they were like, how did you do like, five of those? And like, I was like, because it's not the dollar, it's the resonance. But I'm also the cfo, and I mean, CEO and founder of, like, two different companies. So it's like KPI. I was like, nope, I need somebody to do that, but I need somebody who gets life from it. So I will hire somebody that. That's their gene. I can do it, and I can do it very well, but it drains me. So I will put the money in. Into the person that. That part gives them life. And all of a sudden, I have spaciousness. Oh, shit. A new invention just came about. Oh, wait, what do I do with this? I want to spend more time with my family. Okay, so let's. I'm doing too much here. That's draining me. Who can hold the resonance? So now it's all about finding the right resonance. It's not the best person for the job. You look at their paper, it's no. Who can hold the resonance of what you teach them and maintain that vibration. And that's something that people don't. Because I coach founders all day long, and the moment they crack this code with finding the person that can hold the resonance, they're like, fuck, Garrett, that only took a month. I've been doing this for 15 years. And I mean these are like I have a client that's worth $950 million and I shared this with him. He was like, bro, one month everything and more time with my family, more of this and I can work out again and I don't have to do that. But they were looking for the right person, but they didn't know about the resonance conversation. So if the person that you're looking for, you always feel it. It's kind of like right now you and I are talking, the magnetation just grows. It's natural. You don't have to, you don't have to try it. So when there's a resonance there, that's what you trust, that's what you invest in.
That's exactly the energy of people is exactly how I grow my team. Yeah, it's, it's not necessarily their resume or their skill set or I mean obviously there has to be skills and some sort of knowledge, but the energy is what you is a lot harder to teach. Like somebody to be connected and positive and vibrated a high frequency and, and, but I find it, it's beautiful. I'm so grateful for social media because as I've recently started to just share my journey that I'm currently in and always will be on with others on social media, it's attracted people that resonate with me to me ver versus before I had that I was like, how do I find these people? Because you and I both know not everybody out there is you know, on self actualized and vibrating at a high frequency. And so how do you find those people at scale throughout your organization?
So here's there's a guy named Wafik, he's our community manager. I did everything. I was like, oh, hired this person, went through LinkedIn and everything. I'm doing all this other stuff, the bells and whistles. I'm like, it's not it. Meanwhile I have a retreat and there's this random dude that posts every single day. Nobody asked him good morning everybody and hyping people up. And all of a sudden he was like, 10 days to the retreat, gotta get ready. And everybody's like, oh my God, thank you Wafik. And I was just like.
You.
Hidden in plain sight is person that just needed someone to see them in something that was already natural for them. So I said, wafik, how would you like to be the community manager at Artist Power Starts crying oh my God, thank you so much. He was like, what would I need to do? Everything. You're already Doing. It's my job to spot. So if I'm looking around like, that might be somebody sweeping, but every time they come into a room, they got the best energy. Maybe this would be the person that opens up the calls every time. Because every time they come into a room, the energy elevates. Sometimes people don't even know what their genius is. So as a genius spotter, my job is to recognize something that people are naturally doing in my everyday life, they're not trying to do it. You always know. It's like, oh, I'm getting more money now. Watch me work. I'm like, yo, your genius can be paid for. My genius can't be my programs can be paid for. But my genius, I will freely give it all day long because it's natural to me. So I watch, and just like Pat or Phil Jackson, Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan. So it's clear that he has an eye for noticing certain characters about people. So Starbucks anywhere, I start noticing somebody's like, yo, they like a really good attitude. How would you like an opportunity to pop up to do what you give them? They get more money they've ever made before. They get somebody that actually celebrates and acknowledges their genius. They're surrounded by an organization that pride themselves on making people feel better about themselves. And so that's what I do. I make it a mission to pay attention to how people do what they naturally do without having the carrot in front of them. So, yeah, I can do that. No, you can't. But this person who's already doing it, say, man, every time. Every. Every single time. I was at a retreat one time facilitating something, and there was a cook chopping watermelon. I'm like, there's something about this dude that I can't. There's like his powerful attraction. There's a magnetic energy, some of them, but it's just, you know, I was just nothing. It got like, really. The trauma overflowed, and it was crazy. We actually needed more guardians, which is like, facilitate co facilitators. And all of a sudden I was like, feel this heat behind me. And all of a sudden I turn around and the cook has a drum in his hand, and he's gridding the entire room as I'm doing it. And I walked up to him afterwards, I said, bro, you ain't no cook, bro, you're so much more. And he was like. And I said, I want you to come be one of the Guardians. I will play with you any. Any day, Any day in any galaxy. Come be one of The Guardians at our next retreat. And he's been with us ever since. And this dude, but his whole life has transformed from that one moment. That's how you do it. It's like I make it a mission to see the unseen, hear the unheard, feel the unfelt, and then I'll say something. And the moment I say something, there's a. Oh, wow, wait, you see me this way, but you're the one that's, like, on all TVs and in movies and stuff. And. Yeah, I see you, and I want to put you in a position so that you can thrive and not just do shit for money, so.
Good. I got to stay to energy.
Yeah.
Yeah. And the more you. What I found. I know we have to wrap up here, but the more you step into your highest expression of yourself, the more you magnetize that.
Yeah. And the more this galactic plane will. Will reveal itself to you, and so you'll have access to more insights and awareness is the deeper you go in yourself, because as above, so below, as within, so without. And so all of a sudden, you start seeing a world that you saw last week. But everybody's different. No, you're different. Life's not happening to you. It's responding to you.
It's beautiful. It's so beautiful what you can create. And in order for the doors to open and the opportunities in the future that you want and the present that you want to be yours, you have to step into the highest expression of yourself.
Yeah.
Into your power. Artist power, baby.
You got the whole thing. It is that little kid in their fullest expression. But taking that energy and channeling it inside of whatever you do, that's where the strat. That's where the stratospheres happen and whatever that means to you.
Yeah. People sometimes tell me, they're like, oh, you just. You, you, you. You have too much, like, fun in your business. Like, you're too big of a dreamer or. I've heard that a couple times. Like, you're like, a little bit childish sometimes. My tone or my playfulness or things like that. And I'm like, I want to build this. And they're like, freaking.
Stay there, my friend. That's the little kid that said, I want to be a superhero.
Yeah.
Get a real life. But, you know, I want to be stronger than the average man. Have abs, abs like an action figure. Save and change lives all over the world. Interesting how I've traveled to 97 countries, spoke to millions of people, saving and changing lives all over the world. Oh, my goodness. The dreamer, it happened. So when you're doing that, yo, you stay in that pocket. Surround yourself around other. If they're saying it, find some other people that'll be like, you go, girl. That will champion that. Because the little kids running you say, oh, go, Johnny. He runs faster. So the person that's calibrated enough to catch those moments and then champion you is only going to have you be more of who you already are.
Thank you. So, to wrap up, if you could go back to little Garen.
He's here. But, yeah, let's do it.
Well, if you could go back when you were little Garen, what would you tell him?
I am the one in the future that has been whispering secrets this entire time. Keep going. I got your back.
You're amazing.
