Hannah Hammond recounts a personal journey of overcoming depression after moving to Hawaii and discovering that external changes alone did not resolve her internal struggles. She realized her problems originated within and describes a combined approach of therapy, inner work, meditation, plant medicine, repairing parental relationships, forgiveness, gratitude, and consistent physical and mental health routines (exercise, daily meditation, peak-state preparation) that helped her heal and align with her purpose.

I sold everything and moved to Hawaii and I still wasn't happy. And I realized this truth. Wherever you go, you go with you. And if you're miserable inside and you're empty and you're depressed and you're anxious, no matter where you go, no matter who you're with, no matter what you're doing, no matter how much money you're making, you're still going to be miserable, unfulfilled, depressed, and ultimately not live your best life. So when I got to Hawaii and I realized that all my problems came with me, because my problems were inside. That's when I started doing the work and really figured out what were the holes that I was trying to fill inside of me, me with external things, and that all the answers that I was seeking were already inside of me. They weren't going to be filled or found through external sources. So through a series of therapy, inner work, meditation, plant medicine, journeys, healing my relationships with my parents, letting go of all the resentment that I was carrying on to that I didn't even know I was carrying from the time I was just a little kid and forgiving and letting go of everything in the past and being truly grateful and knowing with all my heart that it served me, it was the only way it could have been, and it was the best way that it could have been. And just letting go of that victim mentality, prioritizing my health first and taking the time to truly be healthy inside and out from exercising daily, meditating daily, and always getting myself in a peak state of mind before starting my day and taking that time to reflect so I can always make sure that the things that I was doing and am doing are completely in line with the integrity of who I am, what I want, and what's in line with my greater purpose in this life.
