Were you always extremely ambitious and driven growing up? I wanted to be ambitious. I wanted to be successful. But I had things that were subconscious or unaware to me that I was doing that led me to not be able to experience my potential. The change for me was when I read this book, Dianetics, and it talks about the analytical mind and the reactive mind. And the reactive mind is the part of the mind where all of the trauma the loss, the pains, the injuries, the accidents, the operations. All of that is stored in an unconscious level. It is the source of all of the unwanted irrational behaviors, emotions, and thoughts. And my God, I had so many thoughts in my head that were so destructive that I could never move forward without sliding 10 steps back. So that was the reactive mind that I got to understand and do the techniques in this book that actually led to, instead of trying to manage those behaviors and those thoughts.
