The Story Of My First Furnished Rental 👀

I started doing furnished rentals right away 10 years ago when I bought my very first property. And that was kind of before Airbnb was really a big thing and there wasn't a massive saturated market like there is today. But the whole reason I started doing it was because I bought my property. I bought it with the real estate commission that I had sold right away when I was 18. I needed a place to live while I went to college, so I renovated it while I lived there, bought as nice as possible, but as cheap as possible, furniture off offerup. And then once I bought my second property, that first property I bought already had the furniture in it. And so I just figured I would just list it as furnished rental and maximize my cash flow on it. And I didn't want to pay an Airbnb manager, like a short term manager or anything like that. I wanted to self manage. Back then there wasn't a lot of furnished rentals and I was able to get double market value for many years until it became super saturated. And now it's, you know, furnished rentals are almost worth less than unfurnished rentals because they're all furnished. But it was a really good niche for me for many years and it did really well for me.
