Speaker A argues "I can't afford it" is a choice, not a fact. Ask "How can I afford it?" instead and find ways to make it work. Speaker B adds a mentor's idea: all statements are lies anyway, so pick one that serves your goals.
If it is something I want to not make up the excuse of, oh, no, I can't afford it. It's, this isn't my top priority. If I truly can't afford it, it's how can I afford it and what can I go create and what can I change so I can afford it and create the things that you want in your life. People just assume that they can't do something because they're putting that label on themselves. But why can't you? You're not different than anybody else.
It's a lie that they say they can. Yeah, it's also a lie they say they can. It's all a lie. If you're lying about anything, you might as well make a lie that works for you. And that's, that's one of the beliefs that one of my mentors taught me a long time ago. Everything's a lie. Pick your lie.
