Hi, my name is Heather Hester and I am the author of Parenting with Pride: Unlearn Bias and Embrace, Empower, and Love Your LGBTQ+ Teen. I am so excited to be launching this book into the world on May 14th. After 4 years of sharing stories and incredible interviews on my podcast, Just Breathe: Parenting Your LGBTQ+ Teen, 2019, writing and offering this book as a safe haven and educational wellspring just felt like the next best step and best way to support LGBTQ+ people and their parents and their loved ones. Parenting with Pride offers our family's journey in a way that I've never shared it before, as well as wide-ranging research, conversations with dozens of professionals and unique experiences of other families that I have worked with.
