Welcome to my second video. I am so glad you are here. Have you ever felt like when your child is in crisis or the dynamic of your household shifts, it consumes 100% of your time and energy? In this video, I'll show you how to get started with the Pillars of Transformation even if if you feel overwhelmed, exhausted, or like you just don't have it in you to make any shifts. I get it. I've been there. In case you haven't watched the first video already, please do so because I covered and I shared important information about transforming your relationship with your LGBTQ child with optimism and without fear. As with so many overwhelming situations, just situations in life, when you have a plan, that particular struggle or situation suddenly doesn't seem as insurmountable because the ultimate goal is understanding and just an overall improved relationship, we're going to start there. The first pillar is to embrace. There are so many meanings here, and really they're all quite intentional. Embrace the journey. Embrace the struggle. Embrace the process, embrace the possibilities, but most of all, embrace your child because holy cow, they are extraordinary. They are unique, beautiful, frustrating, complicated, perfectly imperfect. This step is vital to embrace— intended— before you can go any further with the plan. Will this be potentially hard from time to time? Will you have to do your own internal work? Yes and yes! But I know you can do it because I did and my husband did and so many others I've worked with and connected with have. I want you to remember that this is not a race. There is not a deadline or a finish line. I want you to take your time. And here's your first assignment. I want you to take a sheet of paper or write in a journal the list of ways that you can embrace the journey, the struggle, the process, the possibilities, your child. Highlight or star or underline the ones that you're really struggling to embrace right now, and then write why you think you might be. An answer may not come to you right away, so keep it near you over the next few days and just jot down thoughts as they come to you. You will be surprised at at what you come up with when you are just quiet, when you are honest with yourself, and when you're really open to this process. In my upcoming course, Learning to Just Breathe, I will be taking a deep dive into more techniques, education, and resources. Make sure you stay on the lookout because in a few days I will release more information and details about it. If this is something that you're just really connecting with and that you're interested in right now, click on the link below to put your name on the early bird waitlist. Everyone on that list will get early access to the course one full day before I open it up to the public. In the next video, I am going to show you a simple trick that you can use to transform your relationship with your child. This is literally the number one secret, number one trick, number one thing that I have been using for several years now, so stay tuned. I hope you enjoyed this video, and if you have any questions, please send me a message, and I am more than happy to connect with you. Stay tuned for the next video.
