Hi everybody. Welcome to today's boost. So how are you feeling at this point? Are you happy with your progress? Are you frustrated? Are you sad? Don't be too hard on yourself. You are where you are and that's okay. The most important thing is that you signed up for this boost and that in itself is a step in the right direction. So speaking of emotions, have you heard of Barbara Fredrickson? She's amazing. She's a professor and she's outlined today 10 different emotions that fall within happiness. They are serenity, interest, hope, inspiration, awe, amusement, gratitude, joy, pride and love. These emotions all increase our well being, they increase our confidence and they open up our world. 10 emotions that you want to be experiencing. Maybe not all of them in one day, but you want to be experiencing them on a regular basis. So how do I make sure I experience those emotions? I have 10 health practices. They're high level and I'm going to share them with you. These are practices that really truly fill me with happiness and gratitude and serenity and all those different emotions. So I will take you through those now. But what you can do is you can read the article I've linked out to that will go more in detail on on each one of the specific practices. So what are they? Health practices for a well life. This is something I created a year ago and it still holds true today. Number one, find inspiration. The boost. Number two, build a blueprint. I am going to share with you tomorrow my personal blueprint for how I keep my just focused on the direction I want to go in. So keep my boat focused where I need to go. Number three, eat food that's worthy of you. So this at this point should be a no brainer. Try not to consume pesticides. Try to really eat clean fresh grass fed grass. Finished. The healthiest foods possible because you're worth it. Drink half your body weight in ounces. So for a person who's 120 pounds that would be 60 ounces of water. And I think at this point you all know I love to put a little raw apple cider vinegar in my water. I think it makes the water actually taste better. Splurge on quality. Do I eat dark chocolate? Yes, I eat dark chocolate. I love dark chocolate. But I don't eat dark chocolate every day or I would blow up like a balloon. So splurge every once in a while. Yes, eat it. Get your emotions in motion. If you are really really stressed out or really really frustrated, go go for a run and pound it out. If you're bored or Feeling kind of lethargic. Go for a walk. So recognize what emotion are you feeling? Why are you feeling those emotions? And then what can you do to work through them, to move through them? Move rigorously. So when was the last time you were panting so hard because you had worked out so hard? Go sprint around the block. It'll feel invigorating, I promise. Breathe deeply and often, you guys, get out of your chest. We want to breathe using all of our lungs. Look at a baby, look at a newborn, and watch their stomach go up and down as they breathe. Take a lesson from a newborn. Touch and be touched. This one is incredibly important, especially in this day and age where we are so socially isolated. So find your community. Go to church, go to the library, go to a dance class, and actually physically be touched as well. Go to acupuncture. Go get a massage. Do whatever it is that you need to do so that you are feeling the best you can feel. Read a great book that will emotionally touch you. Connect with a friend that you haven't spoken to in ages. There's so many different ways that this can manifest and finally stay present and honest. It's so important that we stay candid with ourselves, that we tell ourselves the truth, that when we feel like we're kind of going off, we're just not really going the direction we want to be going in that we are frank and say, okay, what can I do to right my ship? What can I do to get back on track? And I think really, at the end of the day, the magic if you're stuck, if you're not stuck, is to evaluate where you are and then just to get started again every day. And with every decision we make, we're choosing to start or. Or not to start. You're worth a start.
