What are the five major components of a fractional pricing matrix? First and most important one Retainer. Based on benchmarks and my experience, this is the most important and most common form of payment. We do about 93 95% of our assignments based on a retainer. Then there's an hourly rate. It can be charged in advance for a block of hours, or it can be charged after the fact that for hours actually perform. And there is a project fee so you can structure your engagement. For example, to begin with an assessment, you have a predetermined list of topics to cover at every assessment, and the outcome is always a report with recommendations. And that could be a project fee centered around a certain deliverable and a well described deliverable in a set icp, in a set market.
