This is a YouTube video titled "How I balance business and family" containing a personal monologue recorded in July 2025. The speaker shares insights and strategies on managing the challenges of running a business while being present for family, emphasizing intentionality and flexibility rather than perfect balance.
People always ask me how I balance running a business and being present for my family, and the honest answer is I don't always. But here's what works for me. On most days, I have learned to stop chasing perfect balance because some days I'm launching a program and my laundry piles up. Other days I'm with the kids all afternoon and emails go unanswered. So it's not about doing everything at once, it's about being present wherever I am at that time. I work on average about 30 hours a week and I protect those hours. When I am with my my kids, I try not to be in my inbox. And when I'm working, I'm super, super focused. I don't multitask. I prioritize. I've also built my business around flexibility, so batching, content, hiring support, and saying no to things that don't align with my current season of life. It is never a perfect juggle, but it's intentional and that's what makes it feel sustainable. If you are currently building a business while raising a family, know this. You're allowed to do it your way. It doesn't have to be perfect, it just has to be aligned. Do what works for you and know that every season is going change.
