Lessons from SXSW - My Fav Tech Conference

A speaker reflects on attending SXSW 2025, sharing takeaways on AI, cybersecurity, robo taxis, and how technology is reshaping daily life. The talk covers concrete observations from the conference floor without interviews or debate.
Hi, friends. Welcome to another episode of Pokemon Paper Stores. Today I am going to share with you a little bit of the behind the scenes from the topics that I went to last month. It is one of my favorite conferences. This was the eighth time that I had been and so it is one that I know about. So south by Southwest, one of my favorite events that I got to do every year. I was a little anxious this weekend because of the tough state of being fun. Even some people were quite touchy politically. So a lot of people just trying to speak better or the people that knew very, very passionate about what they speak. So I always go because my role added. The biggest thing was there is about 20 seconds running. But some of the best ones that I was into were the ones that were totally recognizable so that you are using smaller language models rather than having the full force demonstrations. Some really cool are really, really one day. And she says if you do these things, you will avoid them. So think of your three best friends or family members. Next one is nice to get. There's a couple words I can never say. One is this word and read generally. Do you hear the other one I can never say properly is anyway, what is the problem with generosive. And so we're talking about the other is small that we should. The other thing is like robo taxis. I travel in a robo taxi. While I was there at the driver demonstration some really cool. And he had some insight. Business owners. I talk to a lot of business owners. I work with business owners. If I look at the average person walking down a straight line, probably not. I think that that's going to be a lot slower than what another thought I really loved was from the signal President Meredith which people was saying. So it was basically ending and a couple weeks after that day ended. But the biggest thing is cyber security and how we are not taking enough attention to the security that you have. So one of the things that I would like while the talk was still on was adding transcriptional and so it made contacts, email, calendar when it comes to the rollout of AI. So at the moment a lot of the AI that we use are just these AI. And so an example of that would be people there all of a sudden there it is. However, if we give away every piece of information that we have, it should be submitted to the letter. Next one is Roger. He is at Andrew's Darkness and he is so and so from a point of view of what it's been for so far, we need to understand people as we're going forward we need to focus on so always ask yourself like what's always changing what can all I not reflect and being unique to you is what that is that so outside of my desk it'll be so supportive unless you ask it to do otherwise. And so it is going to be even more important as you through our lives. You are a very awesome that we have that ability to treat Is this right? Is this really what I want? Is this really what I want? Do I need to go down a lot of directions and not just kindly follow already so in our be curious about people always questioning always going well inside our brains that much plastic inside others and so we're starting to put in notices of how we ingest less plastic how to run less plastic in our everyday lives as we go into AI biotechnology it's just created with some growth super cycle. What a lot of people are feeling is instead of the FOMO that's here in the Zen it's moving towards this format I'll tell my stories that are going actually and so this trauma has really come into play as well so it's really not and a lot of people are feeling this because of that but really going back to the full site maybe later today wherever you could be able I put a touch as the user love to check my and often when things would come out of that hairline and then once a month and I would gave their what I am finding now is and so the cycle is going a lot a lot quicker the biggest and they've got them underneath their skin I'm like oh my God anyway But also they've been used for really good so for making and then give you ways of action which does bring together as well so my thoughts when does convenience no longer become the goal So I used to bring apple wherever I went I used to have an aura ring and now I get rid of that as well I do sleep when I go to sleep because I'm going to find that subscribe to me.
