Hi, this is Brian. Welcome back to another heroic plus one. Not too long ago I mentioned the fact that with very rare travel day exceptions, I start every single morning in the same exact way. First to repeat, I strive to have the wisdom to know that today started yesterday as I strive to have the discipline to prioritize my PM bookend to give myself the best shot at getting a good night of sleep. To give myself the best shot at starting the day and feeling great. Then the first thing I do before anything else, I commit to my heroic protocol, making my new day's resolutions to strive to show up as my best in my energy, work and love. Tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap. Then I go to the Virtue Compass in the Heroic app and soak my consciousness in some inspiring quotes for the virtue I want to embody that day. This morning I feasted on some wisdom quotes and this Seneca gem got me fired up. Seneca once said, cherish some person of great character and keep them always in mind. Then live as if they were watching you and order all your actions as if they saw them. And that's today's plus one. Who is your person of great character? Bring them to mind. Ask them what they think you should be thinking about today. Then keep them always in mind. Live as if they're watching you. Order all your actions as if they are seeing them all day, every day. Especially today. P.S. pro tip. Repeat tomorrow. P.P.S. if this was the only thing we ever did, we'd win the ultimate game in every other game of life. Period. PPS PPPs I guess we're on. That Seneca gem is from Stoicism for Dummies. Check out the notes.
