Heroic Public Benefit Corporation - Want to (literally) invest in the movement?
17 Dec 2025 · 40 min
This is an audio-only pitch by Brian Johnson (creator of Philosopher's Notes and founder/CEO) presenting Heroic Public Benefit Corporation — a purpose-driven C-style public benefit corporation that aims to assemble a large collection of practical wisdom (acquiring Brian's existing business Optimize/Optymyze) and build a values-first social platform (Heroic Social) to train and unite "heroes". Key goals: be the first to raise the new $5M Reg CF crowdfunding limit, scale Optimize (10k+ members, 2.5k coaches) toward 1M members and 100k coaches, and create offline/online local Heroic groups in 1,000 cities/100 countries. The talk mixes personal narrative, symbolic explanation of the "hero compass" icon, concrete fundraising mechanics (minimum investments as low as $100, liquidation preference structure), investor risk warnings (possible 100% loss, illiquidity for 7+ years), and a commitment to a multi-stakeholder, virtues-based business model.

Hi, this is Brian. You are about to listen to the audio only version of a video I created for my new business, Heroic Public Benefit Corporation. If you'd like to help us make history with the largest crowdfunding ever, we'd be honored to have your support. We already have over a thousand heroic founding investors from 56 countries who are investing over $4 million in heroic and we'd love to have you join us. Just cruise over to wefunder.com heroic to watch the video and learn more. That's wefunder.com heroic w e f u n-e r.com h e r O I C. Foreign. Hi, this is Brian. I'm the creator of Philosopher's Notes Optimize in the Optimize Coach program. I'm also the founder and CEO of a new business called Heroic Public Benefit Corporation, where we're creating the greatest collection of practical wisdom ever and the most inspiring community on the planet to help us become the best, most heroic versions of ourselves so we can change the world one person at a time together. Starting with you and me. Today, we're planning to make history with the largest crowdfunded financing round ever. Get this. Until recently, the only people who could invest in startups were essentially the wealthy elite. Then six years ago, that changed and startups could raise up to $1 million from everyday people in what is known as crowdfunding, which allowed people to invest as little as $100 in startups like ours, which is a really important way to help close the gap on some of the social economic inequity that exists in our society. As it turns out, early in 2021, the federal government is changing the law on what's known as reg CF or crowdfunding regulations. The limit on crowdfunding is going from 1 million to 5 million. And you know what I thought the moment I heard that? I thought to myself, perfect. Let's make history. On the first day you can do it. Let's make Heroic Public Benefit Corporation the first company to ever raise $5 million in a single crowdfunded round. So that's the plan. Literally, on the first day, we can do it. With the support of thousands of heroes like you from our community, we plan to open and close the largest crowdfunding round ever. We plan to make history. Then, much more importantly, we plan to go change the course of history with Heroic Public Benefit Corporation. Now, I've raised over $10 million to finance a couple other businesses that I've built and sold. When I raised that money from Venture Capitalists and angel investors and friends and family. I was able to have one on one chats with every investor. We were able to sit down and have an important chat about the big picture vision and strategy. And we had the time to drill down into the details of what our plans were, what we really hoped to achieve, and of course, what could go wrong as part of a dynamic, super intimate conversation. So although I'm thrilled to be able to raise money from thousands of people in our community, one of the trade offs is that I obviously won't be able to have thousands of one on one conversations with each of you. Hi, this is Brian. That's why I reached out to my dear friend Pat Solomon. Pat is the director of the documentary Finding Joe and I consider him one of the best storytellers out there. I had a feeling he and I could create something super cool that would come as close as possible to you and I being able to hang out and have a real chat about the details of our business rather than just skimming the surface with some sound bitey pitch video. And by the way, if you haven't watched Finding Joe yet, get on that. Pat does an amazing job of bringing together all the wisdom from Joseph Campbell's research on the hero's journey. Now I happen to be in it with guys like Tony Hawk and Laird Hamilton and Deepak Chopra, Robin Sharma and the late Sir Ken Robinson. In many ways, what we're trying to do with Heroic Public Benefit Corporation is operationalize that inspiring wisdom from that documentary and train an army of virtuous heroes to go out and give us all you've got more on all that soon. For now, let's pretend that you and I actually did have the opportunity to get together. Here's how it would go. We'd probably trade some text to set up our time to connect. I'd invite you out to our ranch outside Austin, let's say 9am at the Johnson Heroic Ranch. And by the way, you know how I'd prepare for our time together? Well, my day with you would of course. As you know, if you follow my work, start the night before with an early shutdown complete. I'd get my PM meditation on. Then I'd transition from deep work to deep love. I'd probably go on a walk with the family, then build a fire with the kids. And while mom gets some time to meditate and journal and do her thing, then Mama would join us by the fire before we all got ready for a great night of sleep. It's winter, so the days are short. So I'd be in bed by 7pm, a couple hours after the sunset, and I'd be up by 4am of course, like every other day over the last decade, I'd start my day meditating for about 30 minutes in what's known as Hero's pose, no less. Then I do a little movement. Burpees have become hero makers, by the way. Then I do my carpe diem journaling and hammer some deep work, focusing as I always do and as I coach our coaches on what I've decided is most important. Now, in our case, I'd be prepping for our chat and reviewing how I could most effectively tell you what heroic is all about. And if all goes as planned, I'd spend some time with the wife and kids, then hit the trail for my morning workout. So 9am arrives, you'd pull up and I'm pretty sure our eight year old Emerson would be the first one out to meet you. I'm also pretty sure he'd be carrying his favorite chicken named Lovey. And our three and a half year old Eleanor wouldn't be too far behind her big brother. She'd be carrying her favorite chicken, Queenie, unless she decided to go for Floppy, so named because the comb on this chicken's head is, well, a little floppy. The kids would probably want to take you over to see our sweet new donkey, Sparkles, who happens to be a gift from our neighbor and one of my favorite stoic philosophers, Ryan Holiday. Now, after that little excursion, we'd probably go on a little walk with the whole family and then we'd head out to my outdoor office so I could show you the new heroic icon mural we just had installed on the concrete floor by a couple of the best mural artists here in Austin. Thank you Mike and Heath. Now I'd tell you all about the symbolism in that heroic icon in a bit when we walk through the virtues that drive our business. For now, I'd tell you about the fact that I got a refurbished World War II era general's desk to inspire me to help lead the battle for our nation's and global citizenry's soul. Fun fact, when I shared a picture of the desk with my friend, retired Navy SEAL Captain Bob Schulz, he told me that he had the exact same desk when he ran the east coast seals. Then I'd show you a sticker Captain Bob, who also ran character development at the Naval Academy, sent me for the Foot Locker I got. I asked Bob and another dear friend and hero of mine, Mike Magarichi if they could help me get an old school Navy SEAL footwalker. Maggs told me they used a foot walker like this, so of course I got my own and we painted 5320 on it. Fun story on that. The last four digits of my phone number are 5320. As it turns out, my friend and heroic Investor, former Navy Seal commander Mark Devine told me that 5320 is the call signal for a junior Seal. Now I love channeling that, ready to go to battle on that front lines energy, which is what the footlocker symbolizes for me. I'd also tell you that I got a World War II era secretary's chair rather than a general's chair because I want to remember that my job ultimately is to simply try to play my role well. And as I teach our coaches, I see my boss as my daimon or higher self and his boss as God or whatever we want to call that higher power that beats our hearts and infinitely expands our universe every moment. I want to humbly submit to that power as I simply show up and do my best every day. I'd also tell you that I created the space with no walls so I could get the benefits of being outside, of course, but also as a reminder to myself that the ultimate temple has no walls. Every moment of our lives is an opportunity to show up and do our best. Now, after that quick tour, we'd probably head inside to the barn office or inside the house. It's a little cold here in the winter, folks, so we could get down to some heroic work. All right, it's time to chat about what Heroic Public Benefit Corporation is all about. How we plan to change the world one person at a time by creating the world's greatest collection of practical wisdom and the most inspiring community on the planet and all that. We'll talk about how Heroic is going to acquire my existing business optimized. We'll talk about how we'll launch Heroic Social, which we intend to make an answer to the social dilemma. Then we'll walk through all the symbolic meaning in our heroic icon and why I love it so much before we talk about what we're going to do with the $5 million of capital we raise, what you can expect from your investment and the fact that you can invest as little as 100 or 500 or $1,000 and the risks and returns involved and all that. Then we'll talk about what it means to be a public benefit corporation and why I'm so passionate about creating exemplary Virtues based business that can literally change the world while being a demonstration of how businesses can be a powerful force for good. Before wrapping it all up by inviting Aristotle and Martin Seligman to the party as we chat about how we can integrate ancient wisdom and modern science as we create a heroic partnership together. But first, I think I'd like to step all the way back and start with a question. Do you know what the word hero literally means? I've asked a lot of people that question and the only person who's ever known the answer is is the guy who first told me about it. Well, get this. In ancient Greece, when they were coming up with the word hero, they didn't pick a word that meant tough guy or killer of bad guys. They chose a word that meant protector. A hero had strength for two. A hero's secret weapon, Love. It's love that drives the hero to do the hard work, to have that strength for two. It's love that drives the hero to show up and face life's challenges head on. To protect those we care about and the values we cherish. And you know what? If you haven't noticed, our world needs heroes today more than ever before. We're not just facing a global pandemic with COVID 19. We have global pandemics of depression and anxiety, of chronic diseases like cancer than diabetes. We have global pandemics of political polarization and social injustice. And you know what? The only possible way we're going to rise up and conquer these challenges is if we all rise up and show up as the best, most heroic versions of ourselves again. Our world needs heroes today more than ever before. We need you to be a hero. Now all that's nice and warm and fuzzy, but how do we go about changing the world and training heroes? Well, I think Gandhi got it right. If we want to change the world, we each need to be the change we want to see. When Gandhi said that, he wasn't saying it in some woo woo kind of way. He was saying it in a fiercely practical kind of way. And for the last 20 plus years, I've been obsessing about how to actually help people be the change they want to see so we can change the world. I'd like to tell you a little bit about me and my background and then how I think we can go about changing the world together. First, a bit about me. As you may know, I've spent half of the last 20 years as a founder CEO and the other half as a philosopher. As a founder CEO, I've raised over $10 million of capital and built and sold to market leading social platforms. As a philosopher or lover of wisdom, I've created over 600 philosopher's notes on some of the best books on ancient wisdom and modern science. Then I distilled that wisdom into a 300 day program that has been scientifically proven to change lives with heroic. I'm bringing those two parts of my background together, which leads us to how I think we can change the world by helping people be the change. Hi, this is Brian. Here's how I see it. If you want to help someone change their life, you want to approach it from two separate but related angles. Wisdom plus community. First, we need wisdom. I like to say that wisdom is inside out. You give someone a big idea that can change their life, whether that's from a book or a podcast or a class, and boom. That one idea can literally change their lives. If you can assemble a collection of wisdom and teach an individual how to systematically move from theory to practice to mastery, you can literally change that person's life. For now, that's wisdom inside out. It's powerful. Then we have community. And science actually says that this is in fact the fastest way to boost someone's well being. Simply join a community with super high standards and voila, you're a better person. I call this outside in now, if we really want to get good at changing people's lives so we can change the world one person at a time together, starting with you and me, we want to put both the wisdom and the community together, which of course is exactly what we're going to do with heroic. So, stepping back, I've been running a business called Optymyze for a number of years. With Optymyze, I've created a membership program that tens of thousands of people from nearly every country in the world have signed up for, including some elite performers like Olympic coaches, the guys who train the Navy Seals executives and professional moms. As part of Optymyze, our members get access to 600 philosopher's notes, which are quick distillations of some of the best self development books out there. They also get access to 50 Optimal Living 101 classes on a range of subjects like Purpose 101 and Energy 101 and stuff like that. And I've created over a thousand daily micro lessons called Optimize ones. We call that core wisdom. We also created an Optymyze coach program that has served over 2,500 optimizers from 75 countries around the world. Now, half of the People who go through the program are professional coaches or HR executives and that sort of thing. The other half just want to become the best version of themselves. The foundation of that program is called our Mastery series. It's a 300 day program. We worked with one of the world's leading research labs run by Sony Lybomirsky, to scientifically study whether or not our protocol works. Short story, it does. Our research lead told us he'd never seen results like this. Now that's Optimize. The day we close this heroic fundraising, we are going to acquire Optimize. So we hit the ground running in pursuit of creating that greatest collection of practical wisdom. We are fired up to see if we can go from 10,000 plus optimized members and 2,500 optimized coaches to a million plus optimized members and 100,000 optimized coaches in the next decade. Now it's time to talk about community. I'll step back for another moment and ask another question. Have you seen the great documentary called the Social Dilemma? If you have, you know that our social media platforms are creating huge unintended catastrophic effects in our society. If you haven't watched that documentary yet, get on that. Seriously. All right. Well, the easiest way to describe our heroic social platform is in one line. We intend to make heroic social the answer to the Social Dilemma. Now, this is actually where I've spent the bulk of my time as a social entrepreneur. I've built and sold two market leading social platforms. I started the first one when I was 24 years old. I had just dropped out of law school and the only thing I knew I wanted to do was coach a little league baseball team. I did that. And in the process I could see that every single team and league around the world would be online using the web for everything. Schedules, standings, pictures of the game. Grandma and grandpa could check out, that kind of thing. Long story a little shorter. I created a company called E Teams. We won the business plan competition at UCLA's Anderson School and then raised $5 million and did the whole late 90s.com thing. I hired the CEO of Adidas to replace me as the 25 year old CEO right before the market crashed. We wound up selling that business to one of our two competitors who had raised $50 million to our 5 million. They had the money, but people used our platform anyway. E team served 3 million teams and even little league baseball used the platform we built. After selling that business, I became a philosopher, AKA a lover of wisdom. I traveled a bit, studying Socrates in Greece, research Rumi in Konya, Turkey, Jesus in Jerusalem and Marcus Aurelius near the Danube of Hungary. And I read a lot and started teaching as well. After a few years I needed to make some money again and didn't want to follow the traditional self help motivational speaker coach route. So I started my second business which was a social platform called Zodz that was all about connecting people who wanted to change the world. I raised $3 million for that and John Mackey, the CEO of Whole Foods and became a friend and mentor and investor and Whole Foods nearly bought that business. I wound up selling the company to another publicly traded business and unfortunately it died a sad death shortly thereafter. All that to say, I have been waiting for well over a decade for someone to create an alternative for Facebook for people like us. A place that leverages the best of social technology but leaves all the worst Longer Chat but the primary reason why Facebook and Instagram and other social platforms run into so much trouble is that they're part of what's known as the attention economy. You may think that Facebook is the product, but as they point out in the Social Dilemma, in fact you are the product. These social sites are hacking your brainstem and then selling your attention to the highest bidder. Things get weird fast when your economics are misaligned with heroic we're going to get paid to help you become the best, most heroic version of yourself. And rather than focus on user engagement metrics that drive an attention economy business model, we're going to measure member well being metrics. Rather than measure minutes spent on our platform, we're going to be working with some of the world's leading social scientists to architect a platform that is explicitly designed to measure and enhance the well being and heroic flourishing of our members. With that in mind, we're going to do things like kick you off the platform when the sun's down as we playfully tell you to go get some sleep. We'll also be working with some of the world's leading social technology experts to create something amazing. Now to put it in perspective, my friend Cal Newport has a TED Talk called why you should quit social media. It's been viewed over 7 million times. He's never joined a social platform before. I told him that I know we're winning when our platform is so good that he joins it now. Another important thing about our social platform is that we will create both online and offline communities. Years ago, I asked our optimized community if they wanted to help us create local meetups where they could connect with other people who shared their values. Within days, we had people from 750 cities and 75 countries around the world Raise their hand to help lead or join these local meetups. Our target. Heroic local groups in a thousand cities in 100 countries around the world. Imagine heroic Austin. Heroic Sydney. Heroic Tokyo. Heroic Paris. Heroic Cairo. Heroic Buenos Aires. That's heroic social. And that's a quick look at how we plan to help people be the change they want to see in the world. By creating the greatest collection of practical wisdom in the world and the most inspiring community in the world. All of which leads us back to that heroic icon of ours that I love so much. I had it painted on the floor of my office. In one of our strategic conversations, I challenged chip kid to create an icon for our social app that could become one of the next great global cultural icons. Note again, Chip created the jurassic park icon so he knows what it means to literally create a. A cultural icon. So he said, you mean you want me to create the button people press to enter the heroic world? To which I replied, exactly. And by the way, when I heard him say heroic world, I smiled and thought of his icon for the jurassic world. Now, if you follow my work, you know that I have distilled the classic virtues of ancient wisdom and modern science into a compass. We've been working on an actual working compass that has the cardinal virtues in the place of cardinal directional points. I fedexed my working prototype to chip so he could see it and make it awesome. Now, I knew that I wanted Chip to use the heroic virtue compass I had designed as inspiration for our heroic icon, But I had no idea he'd create an icon that so perfectly captures the sole force of our heroic public benefit corporation. Here's the image. Imagine this on your smartphone, and then I'll walk you through the symbolic meaning of various components. The first thing to notice is the fact that the four cardinal virtues of ancient wisdom and modern science Are represented as a moral compass. As we discussed throughout my work, Although they may have different perspectives on the details, all the great wisdom traditions across all time and across all cultures Tell us that the four cardinal virtues are essentially wisdom plus self, mastery plus courage and love. Now, when I sketch the virtue compass, I represent wisdom in the north position. Chip decided to tilt the compass by 45 degrees and set the directional point to love. This is absolutely brilliant for a number of reasons. First, quick context. If you've been following along, I don't need to ask, But I'll ask anyway to be safe. Do you remember what the word hero means again? In ancient Greek, the word hero didn't mean killer of bad guys or tough guy or anything like that. It meant protector. A hero, as we discussed, has strength for two. And very importantly, a hero is willing to do the hard work to have that strength for two. And do you remember what the secret weapon of the ancient hero was? Love. It's love that fuels our commitment to do that hard work to have that strength for two. It's love that gives us the courage to act in the presence of fear and do what needs to get done, whether we feel like it or not. Which is why our hero compass is is pointing straight to love. You'll also notice the light and dark colors. This represents the eternal battle between the best and worst within us. The battle between your Daimon and your demon. We each have this battle within. And if we want to change the world together, we each must do the hard work to win that battle. To end the civil war raging within, so we can give the world our heroic best. You'll also notice that Chip used the three primary colors. Yellow, blue and red. We wanted to focus on the fundamentals of life through which we can create everything. These big three colors also correspond to our big three. Energy, work, and love. You'll notice an H that represents hero. It's deliberately pointed up and to the right, implying forward motion and the fact that the hero runs toward the battle armed with all the virtues. Now, as my wife Alexandra pointed out, if you turn the H the other way, you see the I as in I am the hero I have been waiting for. Ayn Rand comes to mind here as well. She once said that one cannot say I love you without first saying the I. I agree. And with that in mind, notice that the I is framed by wisdom and self mastery. We must first develop the wisdom to know the game that we're playing and how to play it well, while also developing the self mastery to actually play that game well today. Then we're ready to show up with all the courage and love we need to serve heroically. And finally, the icon also forms a Spartan like shield. This makes me think of a couple things. First, we need to know that we are protected by our virtue. A noble virtuous life protects us and our families from much of the viciousness of the world. The Spartan shield also represents the power of community. The power of us. As you may know, the most important piece of equipment for a Spartan soldier was not his sword, it was his shield. Why? Because the shield was used to protect his fellow soldiers in the heat of battle. A Spartan warrior might drop his sword during a battle, and that was unfortunate, but it would only make him vulnerable. On the other hand, they were forbidden to ever drop their shield. If they lost their shield, their fellow Spartans would be vulnerable. And that was simply unacceptable. Which is why Spartan warriors leaving for battle were told by their wives and mothers, return with your shield or on it. All right, all that's nice and warm and fuzzy. Now it's time to talk some details. Here's the deal. As we discussed, we're planning to make history with the largest crowdfunded financing for a startup in history. And as we briefly discussed, until about six years ago, the only people who could invest in startups like this were the wealthy elite. Then it became possible for businesses like ours to raise a million dollars from our community. While the federal government has recently changed the law on what's known as reg CF or crowdfunding regulations, the limit on crowdfunding is going from $1 million to $5 million. We plan to be the very first company in history to raise $5 million from our community. We're fired up, and if it's a good fit, we'd be honored to have your support. The other important thing we need to talk about is what might happen to your investment. There are three basic outcomes. First, you've got to know that investing in startups is inherently really risky. This is one of the reasons the SEC limits the amount that unaccredited investors can invest. Although there's a potential for a great return, there's also a potential for 100% loss of your money. So very important, all caps. Do not invest a single dollar that you are not prepared to lose, period. And do not invest a single dollar that you will need in the next seven plus years. This investment will be both very risky and very illiquid. There's no easy way to sell your shares now. That's the first thing to know. Although I'm going to do everything in my power to make sure we don't lose your money. And so you know, I've never lost a single dollar for the investors who invested the $10 million into me and my startups, we all need to know that's a possibility. Moving on, the next potential outcome isn't as bad as 100% loss, but it's kind of a limbo land where we're doing alright, but not awesome. We need to figure out what to do in that scenario. If after seven years we still haven't really done what we could do now. Again, I'm obviously going to do my best to avoid that situation as well. And so you know, your investment will come with what's known as liquidation preferences, such that if we wind up selling this business for less than we hoped, you would get your money out before I and other common stockholders would see anything. You'll have what's known as 1x non participating preferred shares, which basically means you'll get your money out with other preferred shareholders if we sell for below the amount invested along with other preferred shareholders. Or you'll get what everyone else gets if we crush it. Now we get to have the fun chat. If you haven't noticed, I'm an ambitious guy. I literally want to change the world. And of course I wouldn't be dedicating my life to Heroic if I didn't think we could change the world together. I also want to create an exemplary public benefit corporation that astonishes all of its stakeholders, including you, our founding investors, to put it directly, with all the appropriate asterisks and caveats that you could lose all your money, et cetera. If I could wave a wand, we'd add at least 10 to your investment. I'd like to add two. And if I'm being honest, which I always will be with you, I'd like to add three zeros to your investment. Again, asterisks on the risk, et cetera. But that's the type of scale our business will need to reach if we want to fulfill our mission. When I think of where I'd like Heroic to be in the next 10, 25 years, it's as one of the most globally recognized and beloved and valuable brands on the planet. Up there with an Apple or Google or Amazon. Before we wrap up, I'd like to make sure you know what it means for us to be a public benefit corporation. Here's the short story. We're basically a C corporation with a single very important extra paragraph in our charter. As you may know, a normal C corporation has one and only one fiduciary responsibility to make its shareholders money. And this is precisely why we are getting into trouble with capitalism these days. Two of my friends and mentors, John Mackey and Raj Sisodia, actually wrote the book on this. It's called Conscious Capitalism. In it they tell us what makes a conscious business conscious. Short story is that conscious businesses are purpose driven. They have a purpose beyond just making money for us. That's changing the world by helping each of us be the change so we can show up as the best, most heroic version of ourselves. They also tell us that conscious businesses have conscious leadership, conscious culture, and they have a multiple stakeholder orientation. They give us an acronym for this spice. S P I C E. It's short for Society, Partners, Investors, Customers and Employees. Now we aim to astonish society by changing the world. We want to astonish our partners by creating heroic partnerships through which they do the most creative, impactful and profitable legacy building work of their lives. We want to astonish you, our founding investors, with extraordinary returns. And of course, there's no way we'll succeed unless we astonish our customers with the greatest collection of practical wisdom possible and one of the most inspiring communities in the world. And the E is for employees. We're committed to helping our team actualize their heroic potential while creating one of the greatest places to work. Now I like to add a why to the spice to make it spicy. That why? It's for you. I commit to doing everything in my power to astonish you and your families in whatever form our relationship takes. Which leads us to the end of our time together for now and my official invitation to join the party. Or more accurately, I kind of feel like I'm sending up a bat signal informing the Justice League or bringing the Avengers together. Or as one of my friends said, Professor Xavier and I do have the same haircut, so maybe I'm playing that role and helping get the X Men together so we can go out and be the heroes we're destined to be. Whatever metaphor you want to use, here's how I always frame this with potential partners and how I'd like to frame it with you. Now. When I reach out to friends and prospective partners to chat about how we can create some magic together, I always lean on some wisdom we discuss in our philosopher's notes on one of my top three all time favorite books, James and Susie Pawelski's Happy Together as James and Susie tell us Aristotle told us that we could have one of a few different types of relationships. We can have a relationship based purely on having fun. This is hedonic in nature. When the fun ends, the relationship tends to end. Nothing wrong with this, of course, but Aristotle tells us this isn't quite the highest form of relationship and that we can do better. The next kind of relationship is based on making money together. These relationships are transactional. When the money dries up, the friendship tends to do the same. Again, nothing inherently wrong with this type of relationship per se, but it's not the highest form of a relationship. Aristotle tells us that the best relationships are eudaimonic in nature. In these relationships, we deeply care about the other person's well being and we truly want to see them and help them flourish. And this, he says, is the highest form of a relationship. James and Susie call this an Aristotelian relationship. And in their book on intimate relationships, they wisely encourage us to become Aristotelian lovers. Now all of that is awesome. And I think there's another level to which we can all aspire to form relationships. If optimize, optimist, best eudaimon hero then I say let's form heroic relationships. Let's transcend and include all the other levels. Let's definitely have fun and let's definitely make money together. And let's support one another in flourishing as we become the best versions of ourselves. And let's heroically change the world together. That's literally the pitch I give to my friends like Cal Newport, Tal Venturehar and Phil Stutz and everyone else with whom I chat when I tell them that it's time for heroes to unite so we can change the world together. They're in. How about you? If you think you might like to support our mission to change the world world by investing in Heroic Public Benefit Corporation, I'd be absolutely honored to have your support. I fiercely commit to doing everything in my power to make you proud to be a part of our movement. It's time to change the world one person at a time together. Starting with you and me today. With love and courage and wisdom and self mastery. I say heroes unite. Hey there Brian. Again I'm impressed you made it to the end. Nice work. Hope you enjoyed. As I said in the intro, if you'd like to help us make history with the largest crowdfunding ever, we'd be honored to have your support. Just cruise on over to wefunder.com heroic to watch the video and learn more.
