I feel like I've fallen off the bandwagon a little bit. So I think the last module I watched was like the deleting algorithms and I'm in Class 4, so I'm definitely like a couple of modules behind and I'm just feeling a bit like overwhelmed and discouraged and not sure what to do. So I was hoping to jump on and just see what you thought would be the best approach.
What bandwagon do you want to jump back on?
I'm not sure.
Is it, Is it, is it life in general? Is it all your habits? Is it moving through the coach program? Is it culture? Like, what is the. What is it? Or is it, Is it. I don't know. It's a lot of things. I'm just feeling unstable.
It is a lot of things. I think it's most. It's more like habits and the optimized coach thing, I think, I don't know, like the summer I think has just kind of thrown me off like vacations and stuff like that have thrown off all my routines and I just haven't had the time and.
Yeah, perfect. So we'll go to our number one question set when feeling wobbly and I'll just offer it out and we maybe even talked about this before looking at recommitment. So when feeling wobbly or when we want to reach that next level, how's my number one self care habit? That thing that when I do it I feel most alive, most plugged in, how is it? How am I doing on it? Oftentimes it's like, oh, wow, I haven't done that for seven days. No wonder I'm a little wobbly or a little chirpy. Perfect. Number one thing to start doing that would have the biggest positive impact. Number one thing to stop doing that would have the biggest positive impact. And being willing to do that first and not a million things but just self care. Number one, start. Number one, stop. Do that today, do that tomorrow, do that the next. Day one, you're back in momentum. You're like three days in a row crushing it. Did these things that are, that are creating a strong positive impact. Awesome. So answer those questions and then execute them. But more importantly, just recommit. We're going to fall Off. We're going to have experiences. Maybe they're intentional. We went to Michigan two weeks ago. My parents are in Michigan. We were in like three different houses and then we went to a hotel. Like, routines were a little bit different. Perfect. Awesome. When we got back, I'm recommitting. I'm going to be more committed than I was than I've ever been before. It's this game of how can I demonstrate more self mastery? How can I be more daunting with my fundamentals, more committed to all the different pieces? You know, increase my meditation by X number of minutes. Have that strong digital sunset, whatever it is. And there's this joy that comes similar death rebirth cycle. Turns out this frame or pattern shows up everywhere. Imagine that. Perfect. Allow whatever wobbly, destabilized self you are in the present. What do I want now? What does today look like? What does tomorrow look like? Let me be more focused on the thing that I want. And I generally know how to get back into stability. Then I'm angry at the fact that I'm wobbly. And as soon as we have that awareness, have that awareness and make that connection of, oh, what I'm currently experiencing, the way I'm currently going throughout my days is not the way that I want to.
Perfect.
Awesome. Let me start to move a little bit in the direction of what I want starting today, then tomorrow, the next day, et cetera. And that includes a coach program too. Like, oh, I thought I'd be. I'd have watched all the modules and done all the practices and be more than ahead of like the core wisdom. And shoot, I'm behind. Make a commitment. Can I do one thing every day? One plus one, One philosopher's note. Occasionally a master class or a mastery series session or practice. I find that when I have that consistent connection to wisdom. And again, Brian is a fantastic vehicle not just for his own wisdom. And I'm so excited for him to be taking more ownership of those ideas that are like wisdom. Brian channeling something. But he's also channeling so many brilliant teachers and traditions where it's like, by engaging with the optimized material, I'm engaging with collective wisdom at large. And if I just plug my consciousness into that a little bit every single day, it's going to manifest in my data. There's going to be ways that it shapes my behavior. I'm going to get a tool again. The nonviolent communication tool. I never really dove into it too much. That happened to be the note this morning. Thank you, whoever puts Together the featured content selection. Thank you. Me playfully was not planning that obviously, but shared a lot. What landed. Although you're muted and now Calmanner Yana needs to unmute you.
Okay, thanks. Sorry. I coughed and I habitually muted myself and then I couldn't undo it.
Good move. Good zoom skills.
Yeah, I like that. Yeah, I definitely like just the idea of doing plus ones as just kind of a baby step to kind of just kind of getting back into it. And like you had said before, like number one, self care. Number one, like don't do things. I don't know if that would be the cold shower or not.
I think doesn't have to be. Yeah, like release that. Truly release the past. You want to bring forward the data that you've gathered, the insights that you've learned, the lessons. But release any expectations. Release the. Gosh. This is a paraphrased quote. I think it's an Emerson. Emerson quote. But something about like it's no fun. It's really hard to carry around the corpse of your past. Like if we're burdened down by things we've done in the past, like that makes us less free and available to create what we want now. So might be the cold showers. It might not. You might never take another cold shower for the rest of your life. I don't. I don't know. And it's all good. Always let go of what you think it should be or what it was in the past. What would it look like? Wave the wand with my deal with where I am, which includes vacation and things that happen in the summer that don't happen in the winter. Perfect. This is the reality that I'm in. This is the reality that I want to experience. I want to spend an extra hour and a half. I don't know where you live, but you're by window. Like ah, spend an extra hour and a half at the beach twice a week or whatever it is. Like get clear on that and then figure out how to make it possible.
Okay. Yeah, I appreciate that. Yeah, I think I'm definitely carrying around the corpse of it. I'm definitely, I'm like very focused on what I'm not doing and sort of beating myself up for it. So. So that's good to get awareness on.
Perfect. And it's not you. It's all of us beat ourselves up for not doing things. Science of self compassion. Oh man. I shouldn't even mention that. I don't know if I'll be able to. Common humanity. So we want to recognize that it's not because you're you, it's because you're human. We want to be mindful when we're doing it and then we want to have that loving like loving compassion that we would send to a small child. So rather than oh I'm doing this poorly, I'm a bad person, it's oh, okay one, there's a little bit of judgment, there's a little bit of blame, there's a little bit of whatever. Two, how can I talk to myself in a kind voice? Again, small children, most people generally if you're psychologically healthy you generally want small children to be happy. So talk to yourself the way you would a small child and then recognize common humanity. We all do this. We all go through this experience and then wipe it clean. Not what I want going forward and have fun with it.
We hope you enjoyed that. Part of a live coaching session from the Optimize Coach program. For more info head to Optimize Me coach.
