How do you get used to and expect not only being slapped in the face, but punched in the face? It's not to avoid getting slapped in the face. It's to be able to stand in the ring, to walk into the ring willingly and to know that we're going to get punched in the face. And that's what we train for. And if you never want to get metaphorically slapped or punched in the face, don't leave the house. But then you're going to have part X punching you in the face. So you might as well go out and at least face these challenges head on. And we realize that, wow, it's the pain, the uncertainty, the hard work, the slaps in the face, the punches in the face and all the other grappling of life that makes us stronger. So let's not pray for an easy life. Let's pray for the strength to endure a great life. Obstacles literally make us stronger. These challenges are no longer threats to our well being. They are challenges that are the fuel for our growth. Get excited about those opportunities to grow and be our best, most heroic selves.
