Your energy has already affected your productivity, and now we need to translate that into your team. When you are more energized, you tend to be more productive and connected and more pleasant to work with. You're less fragile, you're less emotionally rattled. Then what I would do is get my team's energy to the highest possible levels. And you may need to create a new culture. If the person isn't to fit, they walk through the revolving door and you find someone who is. Most people get very, very scared about ever letting someone go. They never set clear standards, they never give a person an opportunity to show up at those. And then it's just weird and toxic. The boss doesn't like the employee, the employee doesn't like the boss. It's a terrible culture. Nothing gets done, and no one likes going there. But what if everyone understood what the standards were and what the targets were, and they were either committed to them and demonstrating excellence in pursuit of those standards or not? Like when you truly care about them and they can feel that you care about them, there's a level of trust that exists in the relationship that doesn't exist otherwise.
