Hey guys, what's up? This is Brian. We've got another video for you this morning. This one's how to turn your discipline into blissipline. How to turn your discipline into blissipline. So discipline, it's a secret sauce to creating our most authentically awesome lives. I'm going to share with you a few of my favorite passages. One from Aristotle, another from Lao Tzu, another from Emerson. We'll talk about how to move from discipline to bliss. Upline, Seneca, Michael Bernard Beckwith, Mojo. And then I'll give you five tips on how to make that move from discipline to bliss upon. First, Aristotle. You've probably heard this one before. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence then is not an act, but a habit. Amen to that. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence then is not an actual, but a habit. AKA Discipline. Lao Tzu tells us, do not think you can attain total awareness and whole enlightenment without proper discipline and practice. This is egomania. Appropriate rituals channel your emotions and life energy towards the light. Without the discipline to practice them, you will tumble constantly backward into darkness. That's pretty strong. And Emerson tells us that which you persist in doing becomes easier to do. Not that the nature of the thing itself has changed, but that your ability to do it has increased. Thank you, Ralph Waldo. All right. Discipline, it's important. It's the cornerstone of living with virtue. Plugging in, et cetera. Seneca tells us one of my favorite thoughts. He says how much better to pursue a straight course and eventually reach that destination where the things that are pleasant and the things that are honorable finally become for you the same. I just love that. Where the things that are best for you are the things you most enjoy doing. That is the hallmark of moving from discipline to bliss upon. And it just happens magically where you find that eating well, exercising, taking care of yourself, not blowing up and yelling at people around you feels best. It's what you most enjoy doing. The discipline to turns into blissipline. Michael Bernard Beckwith, who gave us the word blissipline, tells us this. The good news is that discipline eventually becomes what I call blissipline because it leads to playing our part with integrity, dignity, elegance, passion and deep contentment. Discipline eventually becomes blissipline. Seneca said it 2,000 years before Beckwith did. And it is true. Then and now. Discipline becomes blisscipline as we diligently, patiently, persistently rock it. Here are five tips on how. We've mentioned a number of these in the prior videos. Let's look at it again. Number one tip on how to make your discipline into bliss upline is to make it a game. Have fun with it. Another flash to the whiteboard. It's all a game. Back to the journal. Make it a game. Doesn't need to be so hard. Have fun with it. Life is supposed to be fun. Number 2. Pick your number ones. Your numbers. Your number ones. Remember the prior video where I talked about your number one positive and your number one negative? Pick one. One thing. Positive and negative, not 100. It's nice when you want to change our lives dramatically and and you can pick a lot of things that you want to change. But pick the one thing that you're absolutely going to change and then make 100% commitment. Because you can't make 100% commitment to 100 things. You just can't. I've tried an embarrassingly large number of times and you just can't do it. Commit to one thing. Make it 100% commitment. And make it non negotiable. That little whiny voice in your head that wants to negotiate with you when you don't feel like it. You need to just boot that person, that little part of you from your consciousness with 100% commitment. And then number four, you just do it. And then you got to keep in mind that feeling like it has nothing to do with it. What does feeling like it have to do with it? When you've made 100% commitment and it's non negotiable, it doesn't matter what you feel like, you do it anyway. And then feel the joy as you plug in and you shine. It feels good. Moment to moment to moment. Allow yourself to feel that joy of knowing that you're doing what's best for you. And then repeat. Make it a game. Pick your ones. Commit. Just do it. What does feeling like it have to do with it? And feel the joy. And repeat. And soon enough your discipline will turn into blissipline. And there you go. Less than five minutes. Hope you dug it. Let me know what you think. Have another awesome day. Look forward to sharing more with you soon. See ya.
