Hi, this is Brian. Welcome back to Heroic Wisdom Daily. Today's book Happier by Tal Ben Shahar, A research backed guide to increasing happiness in living with greater meaning and Joy. Fun Fact Just chatted with Tal yesterday. Tull taught the largest class at the time in Harvard's history on Positive psychology. One of my all time favorite teachers and favorite people on the planet. Here's your one minute summary. Happiness is a journey, not a destination. Don't wait for success to bring joy. Cultivate happiness along the way. The happiness formula goes like this. Pleasure plus Meaning True well being comes from enjoying life and having a deeper purpose. Practice gratitude daily. Noticing the good in life rewires your brain for more joy. Failure is part of growth. Embrace setbacks as learning experiences rather than sources of regret and happiness requires action. Prioritize habits like exercise, meditation, and quality relationships. Small daily choices make a big impact. You don't find happiness, you create it. So what's one small habit you can start today? If you like that and you want more wisdom in less time, check out the Philosopher's notes in the Heroic app. We've got another couple notes on a couple of other great books by Tall as well, including the Pursuit of Perfect. If you struggle with perfectionism, I think you'll especially love that note.
