Three laws that govern the universe. You can't avoid pain, you can't avoid uncertainty, and you can't avoid having to ceaselessly work on this. If you want to call it evil, or whatever you want to call it is whispering in your ear and saying no, you are special. If you get to make a certain amount of money or you get accepted into the correct fraternity, it doesn't matter. Whatever it is, you think it's going to exonerate you from those three things and it's not. And this is part of the training. See the weak people, you know, they might be giving a seminar and you say, well do this and I guarantee you'll be able to buy a Porsche by next year or something. And we want to spit on that, hold it in contempt. Not the point where the person will get a Porsche, won't get a Porsche. It doesn't matter. In other words, this process has to go on forever. This is the modern spirituality. This is where spirituality has to go. If it doesn't go there, people will remain passive. Oh, and let me just mention that also when I use the term passive, the opposite is aggressive. But aggressive doesn't always mean doing something in the outside world. Make a phone call, punching some of the there's also such a thing as interaction. And interaction means the tools. And if we can't give people the correct tools and the correct time to use the tools, then they're paralyzed in an inner sense. And if they're paralyzed in an inner sense, then ultimately they lose the sense of meaning.
