Superhuman by Habit by Tynan (Heroic Wisdom Daily)

Tynan's approach to building habits: start absurdly small, never skip twice, and track streaks instead of how much you do. Consistency beats performance, and habits work as systems that save willpower for what matters.
Chapters
Today's book, Superhuman by Habit by Tynan. A compact but potent manifesto on the art and mechanics of building habits that stick. Tynan shows how to convert effort into automatic systems that propel you forward even when motivation wanes. It's a great book. Here's your one minute summary. Habits free your willpower. What is hard once becomes just what you do when repeated long enough. Don't skip twice, missing one day. Recover the next. But miss twice and you risk habit death. This is a great, great idea. He says it's okay to suck. It is not okay to skip. Start ridiculously small. Begin with a version so easy you can't fail. Then build upward. This is what we talk about in atomic habits, tiny habits, etc. Start small. Most of us go crazy. Build. We have this huge standard we have to hit. Then we give up. Start small. Allow yourself to win. Use variance plans. Design fallback routines for travel fatigue or distractions so your habit survives disruptions. Again, okay to suck, not okay to skip. Process over results. Track your consistency, not how much you did. The habit is the point, not the outcome. Now you don't become superhuman overnight. You habitually become so. So what is one microhabit you can start today. So small that showing up is all it takes. Think about that. Get on that and check out the notes on Atomic Habits, Tiny habits and habits 101 for more.
