The Hero’s Phone #: Is… 212-451-2000 (Heroic +1 #1721)

Hi, this is Brian. Welcome back to another heroic plus one. The other day I was trading text with a friend of mine who happens to be an elite military officer. He told me that he recently visited his alma mater and was asked to give a talk on resilience, antifragility. Apparently he talked about the hero's journey and all that. And he also talked about the importance of activation energy and showing up with an intensity for life. Then he told me that he gave the group their new heroic phone number. I'll tell you about that in a moment. First, let's set some context. As we've discussed, activation energy is a chemistry thing. It is essentially the point at which one thing becomes another thing. For example, water boils at 212 degrees Fahrenheit. Nothing happens when you heat water to 200 degrees or 210 degrees or even 211 degrees. But once you hit 212 degrees, that water hits its activation energy point and boils. Same thing with fire. If you want to ignite paper on fire, you need to hit the activation energy point of 451°F. 400°. Nothing. 450°. Close, but nothing. 451°. Let there be fire then. If you really want to forge yourself into all that you are capable of being, you should consider going all the way up to 2,000 degrees Fahrenheit. That's the temperature required to forge a sword. Note, if you want to forge a spork, you'll be fine at 500 degrees. Wink. So with that in mind, it's time for your new heroic phone number, a la my friend. Here it is. 2124-5120-0021-2451, 2000. Pro tip. I strongly suggest you trade contact info with your diamond and make sure you answer their call to your next heroic adventure. And there's only one way to do that. Turn up the heat. Go all in today.
