A speaker (Brian Johnson) argues that friendships are primarily built through repeated interactions. He uses concrete examples — a dad's 6am run club and weekly roundtables — to show how recurring meetings create trust, deeper conversations, and lasting community ties, and suggests intentionally seeding such recurring pockets globally to foster connection. Love and regular presence are presented as key drivers for building and sustaining these relationships.

Relationships are built on these repeated interactions. As a parent, my friend group became the parents of my kids because you have these repeated interactions. They're the people that you see. And so you can have the kind of surface level relationship, you can have the deeper conversations. But friendship is built on repeated interactions. And there's a couple of groups that have started to form locally. For me, there's a dad's run club which is like every Tuesday morning, 6am we meet, we run three and a half miles. And it has been such a, such a gift to just have this repeated interaction with this group of people who are values aligned enough to show up for a 6am run club and to have the conversations about how you thinking about this, how's your wife, how are the kids, what's going next? And those repeated interactions is what build the relationship trust and the power of the weekly roundtable. And like just coming together once a week repeatedly, not everyone's going to make every time, but to have this repeated connection that you can come back to over and over and over, sometimes with an agenda, sometimes with no agenda other than showing up and connecting with people on this journey together to plug that is like, come check out the weekly roundtables. But then to think about that in the context of workshop instructors and the global workshop day, into how many little pockets, 1, 2, 3, can we seed, then invite them to have the recurring interaction where it's once a week we're getting together, every couple weeks we're getting together to build these relationships. Love is a secret weapon. Love is how we're going to move forward. How do we help facilitate and empower that happening in more and more communities around the world?
