The War of Art by Steven Pressfield (Heroic Wisdom Daily)

Hi, this is Brian. Today's wisdom comes from the War of Art by Steven Pressfield, one of my all time favorite authors. Steven teaches us resistance will always rise against your best work, whether it's fear, procrastination, or self doubt. Resistance Capital R. Resistance is the enemy of creativity, but you can overcome it by showing up and doing the work. Here's how to beat resistance today. First, start small. Pressfield says the amateur believes they must first overcome fear. The professional knows fear never goes away. And next, show up daily. He reminds us the professional commits for the long haul and finally detach from outcomes. Pressfield writes, success is a byproduct of work. Focus on the process. So what's one step you can take today to beat resistance and do the work.
