Hi, this is Brian. Welcome back to another heroic plus one. Today is my 50th birthday. Now, to be clear, I'm typing this at 11:32am Central Time on Friday, April 12, 2024, a month and 10 days before my birthday. I've been hammering deep work to get way ahead on content so I can focus my energy on our next big heroic win. I put in seven plus hours of deep work every day for the last four days, and I plan to hammer another seven to today. I've had zero tech input since Sunday and my brain is clear, focused and on fun fact. My aura readiness score is 95 today. My sleep score is 94. It's always remarkable how much reducing tech inputs and dominating my protocol influences the data. But that's not what I want to talk about today. I want to talk about this quote from the final page in Alden Mills Great book. Unstoppable mindset. This quote is literally the final words of the book. Right after he wraps up the book and encourages us to go after a goal we may not be sure we can accomplish, Alden drops this Mark twain wisdom bomb. 20 years from now, you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did. So throw off the bow and sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Now, I've read that quote dozens, if not hundreds of times, and I've always loved it. But when I read it this time and did the math, I'm like, holy shiitake mushrooms. If I'm alive, Memento Mori, I'm going to be 70 years old in another 20 years. Insert head exploding emoji. How old will you be if you're alive, Memento Mori, in 20 years? Where, my dear heroic friend, has the time gone? Goosebumps. There's something about turning 50 that has helped me go next, next, next level in appreciating just how precious this life is. As I turn up the activation heat in that forge of life, as I smile and recommit to enjoying the process of giving all I've got. And, well, that's today's plus one. As I look forward to celebrating my 50th birthday, I am thinking of you. And I'm thinking of us in our heroic movement. It is day one. Today is the day to go all in. It's time to change the world one person at a time, together today, sending tons of love, wisdom, discipline, courage, gratitude, hope, curiosity, and zest. As I say, heroes unite. Let's go.
