What does arete mean to you? And how does it mean so much to you that you tattooed your body with it? I wanted to be able, no matter where I was, that I could just simply rotate my wrist and remember what the red pill was. You do anything and everything you can to kind of close that gap between who you really are, your arete, your highest self, and who you've become. And if you're not aware of it, and if you're not using heroic and the principles of the three thousand years of wisdom to close that through arete, to be in alignment with who you are integrated, you will find a way to anesthetize it. It'll show up as depression. It'll show up as fatigue. It'll show up as addiction. It'll show up across all of these things. This, for me, is not just a nice intellectual exercise. This is a reminder to me that we were given the wrong instruction manual. We're all given the blue pill, and we discover the red pill on our own, and Brian's helping us discover that.
