A short interview excerpt (YouTube) between Brian Johnson and former MLB player Sean Casey about Casey's experience with the Heroic Coach program. Casey highlights gains such as 'anti-fragile confidence,' building daily algorithms/habits, and renewed emphasis on fundamentals (sleep, nutrition, movement, breath, focus) and intentional repetition over the program's ~300 days.
So let's go to heroic coach. You signed up, you went through it, and then you brought a couple of your kids in. What's the number one thing you got from the program that's most affected you in your life, personally, professionally, however you want to frame that up?
Well, I think anti fragile confidence has been a huge one for me. Creating algorithms. I mean, I think that's incredible. Small habits with the algorithms and just making my life work that way. And I also think the fundamentals, how well you eat, sleep, move, breathe, focus, going through the coach program of how important that is. Intentional repetition is the key to skill mastery. I love how you're like, we're going to say it again until you actually can teach it. And I think that's what I loved about the 300 days of the coach program. I've been hearing the same themes, and I was like, yeah, but not fully getting it until I continue to rep it out. So understanding that the fundamentals, like, I cannot be the best version of myself if I'm not all in on my fundamentals. Those are some of the biggest themes that I've gotten. It's been incredible, man.
