Brian Johnson delivers a short, conversational YouTube mini-chapter advising listeners to "stay in your own business." Citing Byron Katie, he warns against trying to control "God's business" (natural events) or other people, and suggests focusing on one’s own choices to increase happiness.
Chapters
Hi, this is Brian with another mini chapter from a Philosopher's notes. This one's called Whose biz are you in? Byron, Katie tells us it's never a good idea to be in God's business. Why would we think we should be able to control an earthquake or a flood? Or in other people's business? Why would we think we should be able to control a partner or a boss? So let's stay in our own business. It's the only place we can get some good work done. There you go. Quick look. Whose biz are you in? Pay attention to that because you're only going to suffer when you're in someone else's business. God's business or someone else's business? Not a good idea. Focus on your business and watch your happiness rise. Hope you enjoyed. Look forward to sharing more with you soon. Have another awesome day.
