Hello everyone, I'm your host, Giovanni. Welcome back to our weekly Crypto Market show Live. This week we have a pleasure to be joined by Lisa N. Edwards, actress, producer, writer, trader and crypto Wendy O, crypto events host, YouTuber and Trader. How are you doing girls today?
Hi. Doing really great. How are you?
I'm great.
I'm doing awesome. Thanks for having me. I'm excited to be on with my girl Lisa and chat charts.
Yeah. So excited. Girl power.
Yes.
Yeah. Actually we don't have many women on our channel so it's a pleasure. So today we are going to talk about how to maximize profits in a single trade and what are the risks involved in that. Also we are going to discuss the latest Bitcoin price movements and some major altcoins and also touch upon traditional assets as well. So before we start I want to address our audience and remind them to like and to hit the like button and subscribe to our channel. And also I want to remind that this is an interactive show so if you have any questions don't hesitate to write them down in the chat and we are going to ask our guests about it. Also, I want to take this opportunity to mention that on the 30th of July we are going to have a very cool event on our YouTube channel. It's Cointelegraph Crypto Traders Live. It's the world's largest live crypto trading event and we're going to have many guests on. Among them we have Mike Novogratz, Raoul Paul and John Bollinger and many more. So don't miss that one. It's on the 30th of July, so let's get started. And before we get into technical matters, Gurs, you have a very interesting background. I would like to know how you got into crypto and how did you start trading cryptocurrency? First you, Lisa.
Okay, so I got into crypto through my brother. So that's probably widely known. But I've been a trader for. I worked out the other day I was speaking to somebody and it's almost 30 years I've been trading. So I started trading when I was an actress to pay my bills. And it became sort of when there was no jobs. That was how I, you know, made more money and lived basically and survived. And then in probably around 2012, 2013, crypto became very, very tradable and I started exclusively trading crypto in that period.
But you said you also trade traditional assets besides crypto, right?
I did, yeah. For a long time I traded like gold, silver, DJI S&P. Normal sort of like oil and normal stocks. Like not back then, Tesla now, but not those sort of stuff. But that sort of thing. So is what I would look at. So in Australia we had like AMP and we had bhp, which is mining company, and those sort of stocks that would trade.
What about you, Wendy? Can you share your experience with us?
Yeah, so I actually I've always invested like in a 401k when I was working and whatnot. But I got into crypto late end of 2017 and I didn't know about financial markets, know that. I didn't know that anybody can trade assets 24 7. So when I kind of. When I first got into bitcoin and crypto, I got my first stuff on, on Coinbase. I heard about bitcoin, I want to say like 2011 from a family member, but I remember walking into like a TD Ameritrade and wanting to invest because I was. I've always been very entrepreneurial and like, you know, learn about stocks and they're like, oh, you need $25,000 to open an account with us and to start trading. And I was like, oh my God, it's crazy. So I felt like very. Because I grew up very poor. So I was like, okay, this is. I'll never be able to trade markets. And then I kind of. When I found crypto, I saw all these people posting charts on crypto Twitter. I was like, oh, if they can do it, then I can too. So then I bought two used books off of ebay. I taught myself how to trade. And I just started a practice, like started with bitcoin, like opened a free trading View account, just started drawing lines and then sharing my one night, once I got enough confidence, started sharing them on Twitter people liked my stuff. And then I just started, you know, trading alts from there. And then after I got more experience, I started doing margin trading like on Bybit and Mex first and then Bybit and then. Yeah, and I share all my content with my, with my audience on YouTube and Twitter and TikTok and Instagram and you know, I, when I first started in crypto, I was trading a lot more often, but now it's like more for fun as a hobby because I'm doing all these other things. But it's something that I really enjoy doing because, number one, there's not a lot of women doing it. And I have a daughter, so it's really cool to be able to kind of grow with her and to kind of show her what mommy does for work and to pay for birthday parties and to pay for Disneyland trips and stuff like that.
That's awesome.
And why do you think there are so few women that are involved in crypto trading? If there is any specific reason you can think about.
Go ahead, Lisa.
Oh, I was going to say it's a very, very male dominated industry and it's very, very sexist. So a lot of the terms that are used if enough for the faint of heart. And yeah, I kind of think they, they feel sort of threatened by women 100%. Not all of them. Not all of them. But there is a lot of competitiveness in crypto and in finance.
Yeah, me personally, I think like when you look at a chart, it's kind of intimidating because I remember the first time I looked at a chart, I was like, oh my gosh, what is this stuff? And then you realize all these indicators, a lot of them are math based. Generally women are not. We're not very math. We're not super stem, not super math people. So I mean, I've got a degree in math. I have no idea how I did it, but I did. So I feel like it's kind of deterring for women. But I think once you, once you talk to other women and you're like, hey, this is how you do it. And you kind of explain it to them and break it down and not make it look so intimidating and so male dominated, I think more women would get excited about it. But like what Lisa said, it's really not for the faint of heart because like, I grew up around musicians and I, because I lived in Hollywood and whatnot. And so I was always part of the boys club and a lot of my girlfriends that would come hang out with us, they're like oh, my God. You guys talk like this or this is what goes on. So it's kind of intimidating for women to be around that. And sometimes some of the guys are not as welcoming, like what Lisa said, the jealousy and that type of stuff. But at the end of the day, there are a lot of really great male traders that are very supportive and like guys that I'm friends with that I talk to, but I'll share charts with Lisa and talk to her. But crypto in general is not. It's not. It's mostly male dominated as well. So I think. I think that's going to change. I think 2021, we're going to start to see a lot more female traders. I know river, she trades, Dentoshi trades. There's just there. I'm seeing. Starting to see a lot more female traders pop in. And it's just really, really cool to see. I love to see it.
Yeah, it's really exciting. And I like to make my charts very feminine. You can tell my charts when you see them. So they're bright, they're colorful. They've got drawings on them. So you can instantly recognize my charts when you see them. So if somebody shares them, they're like, oh, that's a Lisa chart.
Yeah. I'm sorry. Go ahead. I get excited when I come on these things to talk.
Okay. So I think it's time to get into technical stuff. So I'm curious to know your opinion about the latest movements in the bitcoin market.
So.
We have been trading sideways for a long time. Just a few hours ago, we saw a spike. We arrived to the 9,500. But as far as I know, there are, like, very divisive opinions about what is going to happen. Some traders are quite bullish, saying that this is not going to the 9,500 is not going to be support level still for a while. What is your take? What is your analysis? Liza, you start.
Okay, can I share a screen here? And I'll bring up my bitcoin chart? So this is my bright and colorful bitcoin chart at the moment. So we can see that we've got quite a bit of sideways movement that we've had for some time. So we've got two resistance levels, which are quite important in technical analysis. So I do. I work with support and resistance. I work with Elliott Wave, Fibonacci, and a few other indicators. So usually the MAs, the and 200 MAs I'll have on the chart, and I can gauge where support and resistance is for those. And also the rsi, which on the four hour is looking fairly sort of oversold right now, but it has been for a couple of days. And this predominantly happens when we're in a short squeeze, which is what I think is happening right now. So we can see that we've got very, very shallow sort of ray traces within this area. And which means it should take us to this second resistance here, which is a technical pivot. So which means we should then correct. At this point, we'll come down to this lower channel and then continue up. So we've got a higher technical pivot of 10,700 that we need to touch in order for a $16,000 bull run to happen.
By the way, I love your charts. I love your personalized charts.
Yeah, I started doing it because I thought there's not much color. A lot of the boys charts look very similar, and they're very technical.
And.
Yeah. So with my charts, I sort of explain what's happening. And the crypto market works. It's a very small market in comparison to traditional markets, and it's $270 billion. So when you put that into, you know, when you think of the trillions of dollars that go into the DJI and the S and P every day, crypto is this tiny little market, and it's moved and manipulated by whales. And so I kind of explain how this all works and what they are thinking and what support levels they're sort of sitting at in order to sort of move the market in the direction that they want it to move. I have a greater theory that right now, with the COVID happening, that this is the perfect time to bring crypto again to the world and to showcase it as a different monetary system and bring more people in like what happened in 2017. And doing that, we need to hold certain levels to move the market to 16,000, and that will bring a lot more people in. So we're seeing the defi bull run at the moment, but we're also going to see the top 10 sort of, and maybe even up to the top hundred start to really move once this bull run starts, when essentially it can start Once Bitcoin hits 10,700, and we've got confirmation of that next, what I call a bullish pivot.
Wendy, what's your take? Do you share Lisa's same point of view? Where do you disagree? Can you tell us your vision?
You know, I always have a hard time disagreeing with Lisa just because she's an OG as far as the trading, trading world goes, she's been trading a lot longer than I have. And I always when people that have been doing something longer than I, when they speak, I like to take a step back and listen just because that's how you learn. And I'm still learning. I will be learning till the day I die. But let me go ahead and show you guys my chart. This is my bitcoin chart. Let me go ahead and share it and show you guys kind of what I'm looking at. Can you guys see it? Okay.
Yep.
Okay, let me go ahead and move this and then maximize it. So this is my bitcoin chart. I initially had thought and I use whole MACD which is a little bit faster than the regular macd. And if I can have an indicator because generally MACD is a lagging indicator. If I can have an indicator that moves a little bit faster than a lagging indicator, but still a lagging indicator, I'm going to use it for an edge. Having an edge is extremely important in trading. So I initially thought that we were going to have a breach of about 90, 65 here and then get a dump down to about $8,500. But on my Sunday night stream I started to see a little bit of bullish tendencies because we have been ranging and I think the range period that I saw that reminded me similar to this. Where was it? I think it was back over here when we had this massive run up when we're consolidating between like December 2018 or just, I'm sorry, December 2019 to about January 2020. And then we had this move up on the daily. And then even this period back here, September 2019 to October 22, we had this massive move up. You get these long consolidation periods that are drawn out with bitcoin. And this, this period that we had here that from like about 9100 to about 9600, just all this consolidation remind me similar to that. So I saw some of those things. So I do trade sometimes fractal based. I try to do naked charts if I can, I'll slap on EMA 9, EMA 50 and EMA 100 and also 202. Really just of depending how our EMA 920 and 100 kind of depending on how I feel, I use more indicators with alts because it's easier for me. So I was like, okay, instead of going here we're going to go up. And my move played out an important key level for me was also about $9,400. We needed to flip this into support I talked about this on my chart or my daily videos a lot and I was going to long but I actually missed because I got a little bit greedy. I was waiting for, I think it was this day over here, waiting for a move down here and I wanted to start stacking my longs that way. But I missed out. It happens. So for me personally with bitcoin, I like what Lisa said about this kind of paragon shift that we're seeing with COVID A lot of people are quarantined at home. A lot of people need to make extra income. We're seeing all these Robinhood traders, these young kids doing extremely well and once they figure out that they can trade Bitcoin 247 and they don't have to buy a whole part of a bitcoin, obviously there are split stocks and whatnot. But I think they're going to get excited about crypto because we have about 8,000 different cryptocurrencies currently. I want to say on.
Yeah, it's insane how many cryptocurrencies we have.
And so one of the things I do is I like to post little tutorial videos on how to, how to show different, how to show traders and show people that are brand new to crypto some of the best, the most profitable trading patterns. And I can show you guys one of those charts later on. But back to bitcoin, ultimately for me I need to see actually a flip of support at our flip of resistance to support about 10,500. And the reason being, if you look at the previous history on the daily, we've tapped it, we've tapped it once back on what day is this? Get my data correct. We tapped it once on like Jan or June 1st. We got up to about 10,400 and we just had this wick up. To me when I see wicks, it's basically like a bunch of emotions and a bunch of buyers and sellers fighting to where price is going to go. And it's like they kind of throw the red or the white flag in and they just kind of give up and don't end up closing there. And then we had that battle over here as well. What is this? This is back in 2020, February. We hit, we taught, we topped off here and we dropped. So until we get we flip 10,500, I'm not going to get super bullish yet. I do need to see that occur. And as you guys can see, we've got all these other various resistance areas that are. There's not too terribly much there going on. So I think once we actually able to flip like 10,000, 500, 11,000 or 12,000, it's going to be price will tend to go up pretty fast from there. But also too, this is another important day to notice is going to be August 11th. August 11th there was a call to action from the African American community for them to just go ahead and purchase bitcoin because they want financial freedom and they think it's essentially going to help help them get equality and whatnot, which I think is an amazing idea. Just as long as they understand what to do with bitcoin, not just buy it blindly. So that's why I have this little light. That's what I have this line here and I had someone and we talked about on my show, I talk about Hotep and I who have got a love and marriage podcast, we talked about that as well too. But that's why I have this mark here is because if everybody, we get a large group of people that are buying bitcoin for financial freedom, it will essentially continue to push price up. So that's kind of what I'm looking at for bitcoin currently.
Yeah, we keep an eye on that date. But I have another question regarding the latest movements of bitcoin because some traders are saying that Bitcoin hit 4 lower highs in the past month and a half. So that's considered a bearish sign because yeah, there were four lower highs. So what do you think? Are you also seeing this pattern as fundamentally bearish, Lisa?
No, actually if I can share another screen with you, I've got a longer term chart which I'll go into. And I can show you a pattern that actually has a similar thing and we moved higher. So we've got a pattern here back on the 10th of May and we had our previous bullish pivot in this area and we had 4 lower highs in this region as well. And we continued up and we did 13,500 and during this sort of five week period we did 6,000 in movement, which is very, very possible in this. We've had the same for lower highs in this region. And we've crossed this all time, like all time high resistance which we've had going down the whole of bitcoin. And we're on the opposite side the parabola at the moment. So we've got basically free air going up. So our next resistance in this and in this region is around the $16,000 mark. And so basically we've got all of this room that we can just move Higher. We've got a little bit of resistance at around 13,500, but Wales and you know, FOMO starting to kick in at these points should push us through.
Cool. So I want to remind our audience that if they have any, if you have any questions regarding the latest movements in the bitcoin price, what is the outlook for the future? Don't hesitate to ask, write it down in the chat and we pick the most interesting ones and we'll ask our guests about it. Also, I want to remind again about our live event which is gonna. Our Cointelever Crypto Traders Live event which is gonna happen the 30th of July. We're gonna have amazing guests on, among which Mike Novogratz, John Bollinger and Raoul Pal. So don't miss that, guys. Now going on, I want to get to the core of the discussion which is the most profitable trades that you realized in the last month. So Lisa, I would like to know about your. What is your most profitable trade that you managed to close during this last month? I heard that you got very, very lucky.
I did get very, very lucky. So we've actually had a really, really good month with trading and with Defi and with everything sort of moving in incredibly bullish movements. So the whole Defi market has had these incredible sort of 100, 200, 300% movements. And one chart that I was trading was Elrond, which is Erdogan. And that chart has just been insanely incredible. It's moved potentially these charts, all of these charts, because they're like penny stocks in your traditional markets where they have these crazy moves like you buy something at $0.01 or below and it just, if that particular product then has some news or it takes off, then it kind of really, really moves in a direction. So ERDs are really exciting new Defi product, which is for me an Ethereum killer. And the reason this is because Ethereum's, you know, They've got Ethereum 2.0 coming, but what people don't know is that Ethereum 2.0 is not going to start until all of the Ethereum is staked and it needs to quite a bit of Ethereum to be staked. So yeah, so it's something like 65,536 Ethereum that needs to be staked. So 2 million deposited ETH to start 2.0. So that's a massive thing. And they're not there yet. They're close, but they're not there. So ERD is in the process of doing all of that. So you know, it has. The transaction speed is like so much higher, it's 10,000 tps, whereas Ethereum's like, you know, struggling to cope. So, yeah, so I'll show you my. I'll share my screen. I'll show you my Elrond chart. So this chart was. A lot of my followers on Twitter are amazing and they'll say, hey, Lisa, you've got to look at this. And I had a whole community of people telling me back in April that I had to look at Elrond. So I looked at Elrond and, yeah, I put some money in it and we just kept smashing through. You can see all my lines on this graph and it's this. I'll zoom out. The parabolic move on this is just insane. So if we go to the. It's literally straight up. So we had quite a nice curve that we were trading for quite some time. And I always look for a curve because a curve means that we're going to curl up and we're going to continue. And we started to get news the main net was coming, which is happening in six days, and Erd was just really sort of taking off. And, yeah, the whole community got behind it.
Sorry to interrupt you. So would you say that you made this decision to bet on this altcoin based mostly on these fundamentals you were talking about, or there were also some technical reasons why you decided to bet on the coin?
Yeah, so there were technical reasons as well, just due to this curve in this pattern. And a lot of the Defi products are showing this curve at the moment. I've been posting charts on Twitter and people sort of ask why you're posting that. So we had this and we had dropped, similar to what bitcoin has right now, where we dropped out of that parabolic move and we were underneath. So potentially this is what could happen to bitcoin if we can break that 16,000 resistance. So we've come up underneath this parabola and we've hit. And at this point, we've just smashed completely through it and literally gone straight up. And, you know, if this happens with bitcoin, it's going to be a similar thing. So this is. I've got a chart on TradingView where I show a 30,000 pattern. And it can very, very well happen. If bitcoin gets to 16,000, FOMO kicks in and money starts pouring into the market. Like I said, it's a $270 billion market right now, and that is easily moved. If, you know, traditional stocks and people that are trading those markets. See I can make huge percentages here and the market is just going to go crazy.
So can you remind the audience like how much was the profit from this trade?
The profit on this trade was 16 times. So it was 1600% from the point I started trading. So yeah, so the red line was where I started trading and we just kept going. So Ethereum at the moment I'm in a. I've just been a margin trade on that one and it's literally. So I'm in a 10 times margin trade on this one and it's, it's just 174% from the point that I entered which is down here and we've, we've climbed up here. It fell out, it hit my stop which I'm. I'm quite. I tell everyone when my stops are here to when the pattern changes as well on Twitter. And so it's hit my stop, it's come down, we've re entered and yeah. So all in all I think I've done about over 200 without margin on this trade and then it's in a 10 times margin.
Cool. Sounds cool. So now I would like to know about Wendy, what was your latest biggest gain in a trade in a single trade this month?
This month? It was actually last month. I'm not going to say what coin it is because. Not going to but it was a. I'm not going to because people they. I don't feel like dealing with the trolling. It was a really. I started accumulating it and it completely took off. I did really, really, really well on it. So I was happy about that. I also got in on matic about. I can show you guys where I got in a matic but this it was like a. I like some of these low cap gems complete and I'm gonna. Can I. It's like good. I like these low cap shitcoins because they tend to pump like really really well. You have to hold on to them for a long time but they do tend to pump really well. And course my garbage, garbage truck is coming right now when I have to talk but let me go ahead and pull up the matic chart. Matic did well. I've been swing trading Tezos so I'll just. I've just been buying in on the dips and then just swinging it with no leverage. Lisa is a lot braver than I am because I will do, I will do bitcoin and Ethereum with leverage and sometimes like Ripple but I rxrp whatever but I get a little nervous when I'm trading alts with, with leverage because it's, it's very, very risky. Let me go find my MATIC chart first so I can show you guys. But I've been in on MATIC since about April and it's been chart still doing well. I haven't taken too much profit yet.
I want to ask you, like when you do this kind of risky trades, like highly profitable but still risky, does it all belong to a coherent strategy that you have or you kind of follow some kind of instinct in that moment and you get lucky in that specific trade or is it part of a calculated strategy overall?
So I can show you one that I'm not in because I use this example for a video for TikTok and for my audience. Let me show, let me go ahead and share my screen here. Alrighty. Can you guys. Oh wait, why is this not doing it? Here we go. So this one is a buddy of mine, shout out to bedcoins on crypto Twitter. He shilled this to me. But AGI singularity, this is what I, this is the type of stuff that I look for when I'm dealing with like really low cap stuff like Lisa said, the parabolic symbol. And we're seeing a lot of these defi coins have this, this similar pattern to where this stuff. And let me go ahead and zoom out for you guys. This stuff completely bottoms out. It bottoms out around support and then it just is kind of chilling. This is the EMA 50. But then like once you, once these things take off, like even if you were to buy this today, let's just say over at this price here, it's still a 40% gain if when it does in fact hit the EMA 50. But I like to look for stuff like this that looks like it's literally ready to take off. It's got to have like okay fundamentals but if it's in it just if it's like a defi coin or something, I feel like it's going to take off. So this is the type of stuff that I look, that I look to, to. To totally trade with just because they tend to do really well and I don't use leverage on, on alts, it's very rare that I do. That's just according to my risk. I don't feel comfortable doing that. But let me go ahead and show you my. Let me show you my Matic chart that I'm still looking at because I don't think Matic is quite done yet with the Little run. Just as long as we hold onto this trend line. Okay, can you guys see my chart?
Yep.
Okay, so this is my chart. Yes, it is completely messy. I started getting into matic around this area here, like in April. So just like I was accumulating in this range. And then we went ahead and we ran up and I have this little trend line here. My trend lines are not. Sometimes I don't draw them the correct way. They just kind of showcase to my audience, like, kind of what I'm looking at. And just as long as we kind of hold to the EMA 9 support that's right here, and we continue to climb up this trend line, I do think that we are going to be able to flip 240 into support. And I'm looking to kind of get into this box. Once we get into this resistance box, I see about 280, 282, 292 in this area. So I'm just kind of like writing this at the moment. I'm in Link. I'm in Tezos. Tezos. I'm just kind of chilling and adding more and taking profits as needed. Another coin that I really like to swing trade is CRO from crypto.com. just because it performs so well, it'll get these pullbacks and then it will continue to run up and whatnot. But generally my most profitable trades are my bitcoin spot trades that I do and then these random alts that I come across from my audience. And these things, I have to hold onto them for a long time, but they just end up going crazy.
And have you ever made a 16 pair? The profit trade, like the one Lisa.
Just closed back in 2018? I did.
And what was the coin?
I don't even think it's alive still. It was. I think it's called Cider or was called Cider. It was a completely dead coin. And I think it just pumped like crazy one last time. But you'll see some of that stuff. And if anybody is watching this, if you guys are on CoinMarketCap and you're looking at the, like page 8, 9, 10, all those crazy pages, you're gonna get a lot of the. Especially if we actually do get a real alt season, a lot of these coins will actually pump and they will go insane. But you need to buy them and dump them, right? And take profit. No one ever went broke from taking profit. Because if you hold onto them, especially these coins that are being heavily manipulated, you're going to get wrecked.
Yeah, for sure.
But it sounds like you have two different approach because Lisa was talking about fundamentals, was explaining how she believes in the technology behind this project, while you seem to be more focused on using those opportunities in order to gain bigger gains, but without really believing in the, in the coin itself. Did I correct your point of view?
Yeah. So there are, there are some coins that I do believe in the fundamentals of. But I mean, let's face it, there's 8,000 coin or close to 8,000 coins in crypto to choose from. That's a lot of researching to do. I'm a mom, I have a family. I don't have time to sift through and look at all of these coins. So one of the things I do that helps me a lot is I do coin requests on my channel or my, my Twitter. So I have people dropping, dropping coins in there. So if I get like a, there's a couple strong projects in there, I'll do research that way. But for the most part, I'm kind of looking for what people are talking about on Twitter. I'm looking for the things that people are hyping up and talking about. I'm looking for that bottomed out move where these alts completely floor out and they're in like this crazy accumulation mode at the very, very bottom. And then these things just end up going on, going crazy. And those are, those seem to work pretty well for me. And then I've got my spot trades with bitcoin and my ethereum spot trades and I use a lot larger amounts of that. And then I've got my margin trading that I do the, that slowed down a little bit, but those are fun to do as well. I like a little bit of risk, a little bit of gambling, but those are only like a couple hundred dollar positions just because that suits my risk for what I'm trying to do.
Cool. So we have a question from our audience. Maninder Malik asks about a specific altcoin which is called Stratis. Have you heard about this coin?
I have, I have. I think if they go to my website, Lisa and Edwards, there's a whole heap, I think there's like 50 or 60 charts that I did on the weekend where I was having a look at different patterns and I'm in lockdown at the moment, so I don't normally have this much time and all of my kids are grown up, so I have quite a bit of time at the moment. And I spent two days just looking at charts and going through and researching what these coins do. What sort of is going to Be moving. What's going to be sort of going sideways or whatever. And I think Stratus was one of those. So that charts there, a lot of these altcoin charts are in this particular pattern, as Wendy was just saying as well, with this curve. And they're really just starting to curve up now. So Stratus is one of those. And I think it's going to get some good gains very soon.
Mm.
Wendy, do you have anything to say about this Stratis?
I have not taken a look at it. I would actually have to take a look at the chart before I. Before I comment because I don't like to comment without knowing what I'm talking about. So let me. Where am I? Here I am. All these screens. Let's take a look at Stratus.
By the way, I want to remind our audience that just please write your questions in the chat. If you have any curiosities about any altcoins that you want to hear about. We have very experienced traders as guests, so they are gonna be able to probably tell you some insights about it. So write down the questions in chat and we're gonna pick the most interesting ones.
Yeah, like Lisa was saying, I'm taking a look at Strat right now. Can you guys see my screen?
Yeah, we do.
Okay, so this is Strat. And look at. It's a similar pattern like Lisa and I were talking about. This thing is completely bottomed out. Again, I use line here. This is the EMA 9. This white line is the EMA 50. Is that correct?
Yeah, that's correct.
I just want to make sure because I use different ones sometimes. And we're currently testing EMA 50 support here or. Yeah. Or resistance. Once this gets flipped, this thing will probably rocket and hit up to. We're in stratus BTC. So.000117 BTC. And if you take a look. If you pull up your price range here to here, that is a. That is like a 80% gain with stratus.
Not too bad.
It's not.
Yeah, not too shabby. Yeah, you just. You cannot get these type of gains we recently did with oil and those sort of crazy things happening and bought it like going to zero almost. And. But in traditional markets it takes a lot longer to get to these points. Whereas in crypto you could make, you know, you can do a compound interest trade and make 3% every day. That's all you need to make to make a million dollars in a year. So if you compound your trade and you start with $1,000 and you make 3% every day. Very, very achievable in even, you know, Bitcoin, Ethereum, you know, the majors, and within a year you've got $1 million. So it is something that people can do. They can learn to trade, they can learn where support and resistance areas are, and most importantly, learn money management, because that way you're not going to lose that money when you've. You've started making it as well.
Yeah, of course, I, I heard that risk management is fundamental in order to survive.
Especially in crypto with these moves, when you get sort of like a 40 to 80% move in some of these lower cap coins, you can get a move like 100% move the opposite way. So you really, really need to have those stop losses in place. So when you're trading, you're not, you're staying in profit and you're not losing all the money and it's coming back down. So that's the major thing if somebody's entering the market as a new trader, that in crypto, you must know money management or else you're not going to have any money left.
Well, the T and the taking profit too, because remember when you came. Oh, actually, Lisa, I'm dropping your podcast episode next week. I'm super excited for it, so. But that was one of the things we talked about when I had you on for my podcast, Trader Talk is we talked about taking profit because a lot of people, what they do is they'll keep their money in crypto. And that's fine. You can, but it's actually good to cash out. And that's why, I guess why I love crypto.com is because I actually cash my profits out when I do get them and I spend them or like I'll buy food or groceries or whatever it is, diapers and stuff like that. It's important because if you just leave it in crypto, then you're not paying yourself. You have to pay yourself.
Yeah, and crypto is how I live. So I use, I cash out at the moment because Australia, we have different laws, so I cash out via BTC markets, but that's how I pay my bills, it's how I pay for the house I live in. That's how I pay for my car, it's how I pay for my petrol. So crypto is how I live. And it's a very achievable lifestyle with the way that the markets move, as long as you learn how to play the game. Because the crypto market, as I keep saying, is A very small market. It's highly manipulated and that's why we get the volatility. So you need to know how to play the game.
I agree.
So I think we have time for discussing another of the audience questions regarding altcoins. Ladies, what do you think about V chain by Ready Fair? He asked about vechain. Do you know about this coin?
I charted it the other day. I have to take a look and see what happened with it because I'm not in this trade because I do a lot of requests for my community and for my live stream every Sunday night and I talk about the markets and stuff like that. It's fun. So I actually predicted that we were going to kind of fall back to the emo. I probably should show my chart, right? Yep, that would make sense. So you guys know what I'm talking about. Let me go ahead and. Oh, it's not pulling up. Oh, Lisa, do you want to go.
Ahead and I'm just going to see if I've actually charted vechain.
Oh, wait. Okay. I found you guys. I wasn't able to find it for a second. Okay, so here's my screen. So for vechain for vet, I anticipated a move down to the EMA 50 and it kind of looks like we're playing out with that. If you take a look at the macd, we've already had that bearish confirmation here and I feel. And we're also underneath the EMA9 which I'm noticing right now. So unless we are able to flip the EMA 9 which is really not looking likely, it's looking a little bit weak on the daily, I'm looking for a move down to about 144sats. Then taking a look at the four hour chart here, let's go ahead and see. We're like pinched in between the EMAs and it looks like we're kind of losing. Taking a look at macd. MACD is running so we're getting a little bit of inconsistencies. So we might go ahead and retest the EMA 50 possibly back up to like 196. But Daily is not looking too. It's not looking too bullish for me at least.
Okay.
And I do trade on this coin. Yeah. So I do have a trade on this coin.
You are trading on.
I've had so many trades lately so it's hard to sort of remember what I've been trading, what I haven't been trading. So I actually had quite a big trade on this coin and it was one of my Twitter trades that I was doing at one stage. And I think at the moment I've got about 16 trades, 17 trades open. But at one stage, I had almost 28 trades open. Whereas I've got a system.
I can do like two or three at a time, and that is it. I don't know if it's because I have a toddler running around the house, but I get sidetracked.
Yeah, it's. These are all sort of, you know, I have very strict rules with how I trade, and I talk about that on Twitter, where, you know, I sort of. I ladder in and I ladder out, and then if the trade's still moving, I ladder back in. And. And this is one of those trades. So V Chain, I started trading down on this green line. It sort of hit this, which was my fourth. On my fourth sort of sell point is where I'll sell out and I'll buy back down. Because normally it's a point on the Fibonacci that we see a quite a large correction. So I've come down and we've had a breakout here. And I had a breakout trade on Twitter, which we've. I added. Had to add another target, and this became so bullish that I removed. I said it on Twitter that I removed all of my cells and I just let this run and I kept pushing my stop up. So that. That's another thing that I'll do with a bullish trade. I'll. I'll move my stop up so the stop will keep crawling up to these points, which is their Fibonacci points. And I've got a very different way that I've shown some of my Twitter followers that I use Fibonacci because in crypto, it moves incredibly different and we have different sort of movements. And if you applying Fibonacci on a traditional market, it's not going to be the same. And people like, you're not doing the Fibonacci, right? And I'm like, well, I am in crypto because it works differently. So this chart here, we started trading down here and we got 150% on this trade before it corrected. And I sold out on this level and I added some targets because it continued. So I made about 120% profits on this trade. Yeah. So it's a nice trade and it's kind of going a little bit sideways and it should continue on.
So now I would like to move away a little bit from altcoins to focus on the traditional markets. So in the last few days, we saw that precious metals like silver and gold have been performing very well. There was a surge. Silver broke out and reached a six year high and gold is approaching an all time high. So I would like to know what is your approach to gold and silver? Have you been trading them, Lisa?
Yeah, I have. So I'm on an exchange called Prime XBT and you can trade gold and silver against btc, which is really exciting. So especially for somebody that. That's what I, you know, I'm crypto. So this Exchange has over 30 different markets that you can trade and it's actually really awesome to see that we can. Now for me, this the gold chart. If we're following Elliott Wave, we could be in a flat or we could be in a running flat. So with a flat we'll come here and we'll double top. If it's a running flat, we're going to move a bit higher. With this B wave we will probably go.
Do you have a chart to share?
Oh, yeah, sorry, I'm looking at the chart and then I'm just talking and it's like not shared. That might help. So, yeah, so this is the goal chart. So. So at the moment where as I was saying, so we're in this flat and I believe we're still in a corrective structure if we are looking at Elliott Wave. So this is how Elliott Wave works. We could get a running flat, which means this B wave will come up to about 2200. We will kind of know once we get, you know, here we're pushing up and if we don't sort of start to see any sort of correction here, we're going to continue. So 22 is about what we're seeing and then I'm seeing a major sell off on gold. I just think the whole world is evolving and I think gold itself needs to see a sell off. I think all of the markets are going to see this major sell off. As we see a second and third wave of corona come through, I think there's going to be greater problems financially within governments. I've got this whole big theory that I've spoken about with China buying up U.S. bonds and a lot of different things happening within these markets that is going to cause different patterns. And there's a, there's another trader that I speak to and Henrik, and he shares this view with gold with me. And both of us have been getting a lot of flack from a lot of the traders saying it's so bullish, it's so bullish. You know, it's never going down. And you know that's the sort of, there's a book called Liars Poker which is, and it's a game and it's basically you put $100 bills on top, $100 bills until. And you call somebody's bluff and you hope that the hundred dollar bills don't add up, all the codes don't add up to this particular number and you know, you have to sort of, you lose all your money essentially. That's what's happening in these markets with the bubbles. They keep printing money, keep printing money within these governments. It goes into the gold, it goes into the S and P. It's boistering up these markets eventually they can't go up forever. So we do see these big crashes with gold. This is a month chart. So this is not something that's going to happen in crypto. We see markets crash down thousands of dollars BTC within moments, within hours. Gold's going to take at least three to four years before this sort of happens and it will go sideways, it will go down. Yeah, but it's not going to be.
Would it be correct to say that when you trade gold you're using a much more long term approach than your average trading cryptocurrencies and altcoins?
Yeah, yeah. So if I see gold is moving, if I see a particular pattern where I think I can and it's going to move quite quickly. So you know, this wave here potentially is like a C wave, internal C wave. So we've got an ABC which happens within a B wave. When we're talking Elliot wave. I know it's completely other language to everyone out there but yeah, when we see those sort of moves I go okay, third wave is the wave that I like to trade the most on any chart because it's always the wave that moves the fastest and the swiftest and you can get in and out of a trade and make substantial amounts of money because it moves the greatest distance. So that's essentially what gold is in at the moment and what we've seen with these big moves up. So same with silver. So this is my silver chart. If I can pull it back.
By the way, I want to remind our audience that if they have any questions regarding the performance of gold and silver, especially compared to bitcoin, don't hesitate to ask in the chat and our guests will reply.
So silver's in a sort of a breakout. I've got lots of indicators on this chart that sort of hide what it's doing. But we can see that silver was under a strong, strong like resistance point at this and we broke out and it's just really, it's got the same move that I look for in crypto where we've got that curve. We know when we see this curve we get, we're just going to continue up. So if you're a new trader and you're looking at patterns, this is something that I would definitely look for. So silver had it and it's, it's just, it's curved up and it's gone parabolic in this move and it's just, you know, it's almost at the target. I think we'll see a correction here. We'll see some sideways movement and silver should continue up. I've got upper target of 33 on silver.
Wendy, what's your experience with this kind of trading? Have you been trading also precious metals like gold and silver?
So the only precious metals that I really know about is my Tiffany's jewelry that's in the safe at home. I don't trade traditional markets. I'm going to be very honest. I really just trade crypto. Traditional markets is something I would love to get involved with with Forex but unfortunately I don't have the time.
So do you think that for trading traditional markets more study and time will be required and why?
I don't necessarily think it's more study. I just my hours, the way my day goes. I have a four year old. Well she'll be four next month. So it's kind of hard for me to trade like Lisa's talking about. She's like I had 28 trades which is absolutely amazing. Just me. If I can manage two to five trades at a time, I'm winning at life because I've got a family at home, you know, and I work from home, I've got my content. So unfortunately I don't have time to be divulged in all these different markets. But more power to anybody who is able to do it.
It.
Yeah. And actually we have a question related to that from the audience. Pok Poc asks, as crypto traders, how many hours per week do you spend analyzing and trading alts to in order to have a smooth lifestyle?
So first and foremost, guys, trading is not easy. It's very, very hard. I'm still, I'm only like two to three years in the game so I still have a lot to learn. And it's not, you don't just go professional trader like after, after a year of trading. I, me personally, it takes time. I Trade more as like a luxury, it's like a hobby just to kind of make an additional money, additional revenue stream for me. If I was to put full, full attention into it, I'm sure that I would, you know, it would, my story would be different but I've just got so many things on my plate. So what I try to do, the first thing that I do when I wake up, I go to my computer, I answer emails, I answer telegrams, I deal with my clients. And then I start, I scan charts and I kind of look at the market to see what's going on. After I've done that, I prepare for my daily video. I try to take care of some of my work stuff and then I'll kind of take another look at the to see, decide after I've had my coffee, decide whether I want to enter into a trade or not. And I make sure to write everything in my trusty trading journal and then just kind of chill for the rest of the day. So it just kind to each their own and it just kind of depends. But right now I just, I feel more comfortable trading on my own leisure and trading part time and that just works for my current lifestyle. Will that change tomorrow? It could. Will it change in the next year? Yes, it could. But right now that's what works for me.
Yeah, same. So I'm basically at the moment, I've got plenty of time because I. We're in Corona lockdown, so we're not allowed to go out, we're not allowed to do anything. Nothing's open, so I've got plenty of time. And I'm just sitting here and I'm doing charts. I was running discords and I was running trading and I was running funds and I was doing a whole heap of things that was taking a lot of my time and I was spending sort of of, you know, 12 to 14 hours a day trading. And now I probably. I'm doing a lot of writing. I'm writing my fourth novel, so I've got three novels and I'm writing a fourth one. In that series I've written Coin Runners, the movie that I was telling you about. And so that has taken. That was going to be my focus this year and then Corona happened and it's brought me back to trading. So Twitter's loving me because I, I don't have a discord and I don't have a paid group. So I'm just posting all of my charts and everything on Twitter. And so I wake up in the morning, I'm normally up very early because I'm dealing with la, with all my writing projects and doing all of that. So I get up, I do all of that, have my meetings, do the edits and everything I need to do on my scripts and my books. And then I sort of, I scan the charts. I've got all the charts that I'm trading. They're always open. I've got alerts on those, they go off at all different times and they're in the background. So I have alerts on my phone through TradingView, I have alerts on my computer. So at any given time I know where that chart sort of is. But I have, like I said, very strict rules and very strict sell points and with stop losses and everything like that. So those charts can run in the background and I can live my life and normally when I'm not locked down.
Cool. So let's move on to one more altcoin which I wanted to cover with you. It's Chainlink. So Chainlink is so called Defi token and it has been even defined the Tesla of altcoins because it's performing so well lately. It's showing very strong performances. Have you been trading Chainlink?
I have, I have. I shall share a screen. So I had a trade on this one and I don't margin trade a lot of the alts. I will margin trade only sort of BTC and Ethereum. I kind of try to steer away from the margin trades because the alts kind of moves so unpredictably. And Chainlink earlier was one of the only coins. So a lot of the trading engines on a lot of the exchanges failed and there was not the coins there to meet the orders that happened. And Chainlink was one of the only coins that went or the first coin that went to zero in this period and it had a massive big drop as we can see here where the trades just failed. There was no orders here on any of the exchanges and it just plummeted. It has a long term support which it hit. And at this point where it started to go sideways, I posted a chart on Twitter and we've been trading all the moves and it's been an amazing trade. So we did a 270% trade on this and obviously that's over. It's from April, which in crypto is a lifetime. In a traditional market a 270% trade might take you about 10 years unless you're Tesla and it went straight up. But the crypto markets have more volatility and just easier to move. So we can see this pattern wasn't ideal, but it was trading in a channel. We had a strong channel sort of trading here, and that's another pattern I'll look for. Like, at the moment, bitcoin's got a channel happening where we're going to go up. So chain link had this channel happening where we were sort of going sideways but a little bit up. It would creep sort of upside up, down up. And it did this for quite some time, so two months almost, and then it just exploded. So we can see that this wave here, this is our strong first wave, and we had a very strong sideways movement. And then we've exploded up. So we're now coming down into this fourth wave. We've got a strong resistance at this point. We could see a wave up to about 8.6 and then continue down. We have support around this region, but our major diagonal support is down at about $5.90. So a lot of new traders are in crypto, so they have tighter stop losses, they panic sell, and that can alter where sort of markets move to. So I see right now sort of 8.58 is where we're going to head up to. And then we'll come down to maybe 6, 5 and possible 5 sort of 9 region if we get a bit of panic in the market.
Mm.
Wendy, any thoughts regarding chainlink?
Yes, I was actually pulling that up while you guys were. Oh, where did it go? One quick second. Oh, my goodness. I am just not with it today. Okay, so here.
And with that, if bitcoin takes off and link's going to take off too, so those retrace targets may not happen.
Okay, let me. All right, here we go. So this is my link chart. I've been kind of just swing trading this. Just having some fun with it. It's been a nice, fun trade. So I got in around this area here, not at the bottom, obviously, but in this range over here. And I took some profit at this area because we had broken all time high. And I still have a little bit of trauma from the bear market to where when something pumps, you got to take your profit and run. But we ended up running up here. We fib fib extension, which is fib extension, or not the fib extension yet, but fibs at one and then which was about $1.91. And then we have this correction. So these little lines that I drawn here, I drew those for as I had charted this on one of the videos I did. But basically just to show we kind of had bottomed out here. And I expected price to go up and we in fact did. And we're currently testing about $8.05. So if we continue to run, which I'm looking at the whole macd, whole MACD was looking okay. And then we just got this little bend here which is showing some weakness with our green line, which is the fast line. So I'm expecting a little bit of a retrace probably to like 6 or to 7.64. One thing that's important to note for me, let me go back to the daily so I can show you. If we flip this and we turn this better, we break this and this turns into resistance at about 0.786, which is $7.30 on link, then I think that we will have a deeper retrace and I would be looking for probably this area here as far as link goes. So it's going to be interesting to see if this support holds or if we actually end up tackling $8.91. And I've got my alerts set for this.
Thank you, Wendy. So we got a question from the audience. This is bullish Ask what is your preferred trading platform, the one with lowest fees? Lisa, maybe you want to share.
I kind of don't ever look at the fees. It's terrible, I know, but your preferred.
One for any reasons?
I preferred one. I trade on several different platforms but the main three that I trade on is Prime XBT just due to the variety of charts that they have. So they've got every. All your crypto and then they've got some traditionals like the silver and the gold and the S and P and those sort of charts. So I like trading on that platform for that reason. And their trading engine works really well for what I do. I do a lot of sculpt trades on BTC on there as well and it's kind of fun. And when I've got plenty of time. The other ones I like Bitfinex and Horby and yeah, Binance of course for a lot of the alts.
Wendy, what's your choice for margin trading?
I absolutely love Bybit for. For Bitcoin and Ethereum. I've always just had a really good user experience with them. Again, you guys, if you're not an experienced trader, you have no business margin trading. So I just wanted to go ahead and say that even with.
I totally agree.
I have to say that because I always will say that all the time. As far as altcoins, I really like to trade. I use a crypto.com app when I'm swinging. The reason why is they've got the alert set. I've got like some, you know, some payment system set up to that. So if I need additional fiat, because if I'm. My money's locked up in a trade, I can go ahead and do that and then I can cash it out and put it on the card and my profits and spend it. So I like to use that platform. It's my favorite mobile platform. And then I also like Bittrex. I know a lot of people, some people say good things about, some say bad, but I like using Bittrex because they are legal in the United States and I've been using them actually, I think I made my first altcoin trade there. So I like those, that's what I use. And then the thing though, you guys need to understand about crypto is that because we've got about 8,000 different coins, coins on the market, you might have to use, you might have. I'm being dead serious, you might have to use different crypto exchanges. If you guys are going to do that, please make sure to use a different password and a different email for every single exchange you use. Keep all that stuff safely and secure, use 2fa. And sometimes you're just going to have to get down and dirty and get on those random exchanges if you want to catch that pump. So try to use a larger exchange if you can, but if not, please make sure to keep your stuff all secured.
Do you agree, Lisa?
I completely agree. Yeah. So I think I'm signed up. I worked out the other day to about 13 different exchanges just because at some time I wanted a particular alt or I wanted to trade something and yeah, so the main thing with doing that is, as Wendy was saying, so you know, if you're using the same email address on every exchange, make sure, which I don't. I have different email addresses for each exchange. I have a lot of security on my stuff, so I have different passwords. Make sure your password is a very strong and secure password, that it has, you know, a variety of upper and lowercase, it has symbols, it has all of that within something that you'll know. Don't write it down where anyone's going to find it. There's a password protection system that you can get called 1Password and you can put everything in there and it's amazing. And also make sure that you have two FA and alert set up. So I get emails, I get SMS's and I get the two and I have two FA when I'm signing in. So I have a lot of everything set up on every exchange and I don't think with crypto and with everything that happens within the space and hacks and that sort of thing, you need to make sure that you have everything in place. And, you know, if you can as well then be behind a VPN so that you've got a different IP address that you're using. So if somebody's trying to hack into your computer, you know, you could be in Denmark when I'm really in Australia, or you could be in LA when I'm really in Australia. So. Yeah.
Okay, cool. So do you have time for one more question?
Yes, sure.
Okay, so this is mainly related to the last altcoin we're going to discuss today. So, Lisa, I saw that you are often trading BSV and talk about it bsv. For those who don't know, it's Bitcoin Satoshi's vision. So you often talk about it and you're rather enthusiastic, in a rather enthusiastic way on your trading views posts. Is there any connection between your enthusiasm and the fact that your brother Craig Russell is the main proponent of the coin? Sorry if I drop that bomb, but I had to drop it sooner or later.
Can we ask you some personal questions?
Well, no, I actually haven't talked to my brother for quite some time, so since the beginning of the year, we had a bit of a fallout.
So.
And that's in my movie, you. There's a lot of this stuff that happened kind of in a relationship that I had and I fell out with him because of that. And yeah, but Bitcoin sv. The reason I do talk about it so enthusiastically, it is a project I do like to research the stuff that I am trading and know what it does and know how it functions. And I'm, you know, BSV is this amazing, amazing, amazing project that it has the original bitcoin protocol, but it also, it's got big blocks. The transaction speed is incredible, so I can send something instantly. I did a BTC transaction the other day that took 18 hours, which was just insane. And I had to increase the fee for the miners by sending my money in my wallet to myself at the highest rate so that it would increase the fee on the BTC transaction I'd previously done on a low fee. So with BSV you can do micro payments. And you know, this is, this is an exciting thing when you're thinking about Visa and MasterCard and the amount of transactions they do in every day. I think it's 15 billion transactions or 15 million, I can't remember. But don't, don't be hating on me.
We are traders, we are not technical people. I'm just kidding.
So BSV can do all of this. So this is something that I look for. This is why I like ERD as well for what it can do. BSV is getting tokenized at the moment. So they're tokenizing the chain. There's going to be tokens, it's going to be this huge, big things. So we talk about defi. BSV has some really big stuff happening. So if you are looking at getting in and holding this, I think BSV is about to explode just due to the fact of what's been happening. I have people sending me, you know, all the BSV projects that are moving from Ethereum to BSV and they don't talk about and market it enough because there's so much noise in the crypto sphere that it kind of gets hidden until you can't hide it anymore and people have to take notice. So I think this is, you know, it's just sort of, you know, flying under the radar at the moment. And yeah, we're going to start hearing some really big things happening.
Okay, so you believe in the fundamentals of the coin?
I do.
So Wendy, do you have anything to comment on bsv? Do you also believe in the fundamentals? Do you trade it just for fun or you don't trade it at all?
I'm not that big of a fundamental person just because I feel like there's so many projects. I grew up very poor, lower middle class. So when I'm looking at crypto projects, I'm like, how is this going to help somebody that I know or my mom or my sister or people I grew up with? So a lot of these projects, a lot of their use cases are really not valid for the people I grew up with. They're great for developers, they're great for gamers, are great for people that are heavy tech savvy. But I need something, when I'm looking at for strong fundamentals, I need something that's going to make improve the quality of life for people that I know and whether it's going to be in healthcare or real estate or using blockchain for that. So there's a lot of projects that I think could do well. There's some projects I think could do that. As far as BSV goes, I'm not, I haven't really looked into it. I don't really trade it. I do have a BSV community member in my telegram chat and he, he always speaks very highly of Lisa. So shout out to Martin. He's very excited for your episode dropping next week. But if Lisa says it's good, I may have to take a look. I don't know. We'll see. I may have to put some BSV wallet address to get some tips on my channel. We'll see.
Do it.
Okay, cool. So I think it's a good time to wrap things up. So thanks a lot for being with us today. Lisa and Wendy, it was a pleasure.
