Lomi is a kitchen composter that claims to be carbon-negative, offsetting emissions each time it runs by diverting food waste from landfills. The company says no other home appliance can make that claim, comparing the benefit to switching from a gas car to an electric vehicle.

Lomi is the only device that you'll have in your kitchen that's actually carbon negative. Negative in this context being positive. Carbon negative is like, from the moment you plug in a Lomi and you're using it and you're diverting food waste from landfill and you're in a home, right, in an environment where you didn't have an alternative that was easy. So like somebody wasn't coming and doing it for you, like you're on your own. Yeah, you're generating carbon offsets every time you run the machine, right? So like this is a negative footprint device in your home. You can't say that about anything else in your home. It's like It's like an electric car. It's like you switch out your gas car for an electric car after a certain period of time.
