The speaker highlights material properties sought during testing—heat resistance, durability—and that the final product can be composted at end of life.

Chapters

I guess one of the toughest parts for us, you know, understanding the material, understanding its strengths or what we could actually do with coffee waste. And so during our testing or prototyping of the product, basically, we decided to use a compostable bioresin, which gives many properties that we needed to the final product, such as being heat resistant, being durable, Being able to also compose a final product at the end of its life cycle. And so we combine this compostable bioresin with our coffee waste, which is not only coffee waste, but we also treat it. We have a proprietary process once we recycle the coffee waste in order to be able to be transformed and combined with our compostable bioresin.
