Hey, hope you're doing well. My name is Jimmy Fung and in today's video I'm going to be walking you through, step by step, exactly what you need to know how to build a website for your own lead generation agency. And now the reason why I'm making this video is because I remember when I was first starting my own business, one of the biggest things that I thought to myself was oh, I need to have a beautiful website. I need to have a really, really professional website. I gotta learn code, I gotta, I got to do all of this stuff. And for me, after running my own lead generation agency for the last year and a half, after working with 50 plus clients, after generating them over $2.5 million in additional revenue, this video is going to be talking about what I have learned from that. Because it's not what you think. You need a website, but it's not the way that you think about it. So hopefully in this video I'm going to give you some guidance as to what you need to do to build an effective website to for your own lead generation agency. And at the end of this video, I'm actually going to be jumping right into and actually building a website with you live just to show you how simple it actually is and why you don't need to add a bunch of complexities and all of that stuff. So hope you find this video valuable. If you do, make sure you drop me a, like, make sure you drop me a subscribe, make sure you drop me a comment and I'll see you in the next one. See ya. All right, so in today's video I will be walking you through the exactly how to build a website for your own lead generation agency and why it's actually much, much, much more simpler than you might think. So jumping right into it, here are the three things that we'll be covering in today's video. So the first is why you need a website for your lead generation agency. The second thing is what makes a website good and what makes a website bad. And finally the third thing is how to actually create a converting landing page or a converting website. So those are the three things and jumping right into who am I? In case we just have not yet met and you just stumbled across my YouTube channel. My name is Jimmy Fung and I'm actually the founder of Salesway IO and Inbox Lab IO. I'm a 23 year old from Canada and I run my own lead generation agency. I've been running it for the last 1.5 years. The last year and a half and have generated over $500,000 in revenue for my own business. During that period, I have worked with 50 plus B2B clients in a wide variety of industries and have booked well over 1000 sales costs while sending over 1 million cold emails in the process. And like everyone else, when I first started my business a year and a Half ago in October 2022, I didn't have a clue in the world what I was doing. And I didn't have any case studies, I didn't have any testimonials. And in a way I kind of just trialed and errored my way through. So that's a little bit about who I am. And the first thing I wanted to run over with you today is why you need a website for your lead generation agency. You might also hear the word landing page. They're kind of synonymous, actually. If you search it up on Google, a website is an online site with multiple pages. Meanwhile, a landing page is a singular website. So for the purpose of what we're doing, what we're actually building for your own lead generation agency is actually more so a landing page. But more people would understand what a website is as opposed to a landing page. But what we're actually building is a landing page. But they're, you know, they're two pretty synonymous terms. So the biggest mistake I made when I was first starting my own business, when I was first starting my own lead generation agency, was just spending way too much time focused on building a website. And it makes sense because there's a bunch of people online, all of these gurus, all of these people selling you the dream, selling you every other thing, they all tell you that the very first thing you need to do when you're first starting your business, your online business, is number one, pick a good business name and number two, build out a nice looking website. And while I don't completely disagree, what I realized is that building a website is not really what's called a revenue generating activity. Meaning if you were to spend, let's say 10 hours learning how to build a beautiful website on WordPress, or learning webflow and building out the nicest website in the world, that is not going to be the reason why you end up signing your first client, your second client, your third client, or making thousands of dollars in the process, it's just not because it's not a revenue generating activity. So when you hear stories of people saying that they spent half a year, they spent 10 months, they spent a year just building the business without making A single dollar without seeing any success. The reason why it took them that long is because what they were doing was they were spending time on non revenue generating activities such as building a website. There's obviously a bunch of other things as part of that, but building a website is one of the largest example of a non revenue generating activity. Because people will spend three weeks trying to build the perfect website. But in little do they know that building a nice website is not the reason why they will make money or not the reason why they won't make money, right? So if you're watching this video and you think to yourself, okay, well I understand what this guy Jimmy, I understand what he's saying. I won't spend my time building a website. What I'll do instead is I'll just hire someone else to build a website for me. I actually did that. So when I was first starting my business again in October 2022, I had that exact same thought. I actually watched a couple of YouTube videos and I tried to build up my own website on webflow, which is a very common, very popular tool for building a website. And it's pretty complicated. I don't have a coding background and I watched a lot of these YouTube videos, these step by step tutorials. And then I very quickly came to the conclusion that I just didn't know I was doing and I had zero interest learning how to code and graphic design and doing all this stuff. So what I did instead was I went over into upwork and I actually put up this job post. I called it agency website developer, pretty self explanatory. I hired a guy to help me build a website. I paid him 900 bucks to build me a website. So what happened was $900 later, I did have a beautiful website, but I realized that it just wasn't required for what I needed. So everything I literally just said in this video so far about how building a nice website is not needed, I learned this from my own personal experience of starting my business, building the nicest website, spending $1,000 doing that, and then realizing I just didn't need it. So learn from my mistakes, right? I realized that the $900 I spent building this beautiful website could have just been better invested into other things which would actually move the needle forward. Maybe investing into better tools or buying more email accounts, stuff of that nature. It could have just been invested into much better things. Again, I'm sharing this with you because my goal is to make sure that you just learn from my mistake and so that you don't experience the same thing as I did. Now, on the other hand, even though you might not necessarily need to go out and build the most beautiful website, you still need to make sure that you have an online presence. Because what's going to happen is if you're reaching out to prospects, let's assume that you're cold emailing random people on the Internet, you're cold emailing random business owners who don't know you and you're trying to pitch them. The first thing that they will do is number one, they will search up your name on Google, see if you exist, and, and number two, they're going to search up the name of your business, try to look for your website, try to see if you have a LinkedIn page and see what you're all about. And if they go and do that and they just don't see a website or it just doesn't exist, well, that's pretty suspicious right off the bat, right? And most people, they're not going to continue digging forward, they're just going to go onto a website, see it doesn't exist, and they're going to think to themselves, oh, well, this guy is probably a scammer or this guy is, whatever the case is, pretty just unsuspicious. I'm just going to move on with my day and read the other 20 emails that I have in my inbox. But on the other hand, you also have to understand that people won't just randomly search up your website. So for example, the name for my own agency, the name of my own lead generation agency is Salesway IO. And a business owner, they're not just going to randomly wake up on a Friday morning at 10:30am and say to themselves, oh, I'm just going to type in on Google Salesway IE and see what it leads to, see what that looks like. They're just not going to do that. So really the only people that will see your website are the people who you have reached out to and people who have some form of potential interest in maybe working with you. So when a potential client visits your website, there's really a couple key things that you need to keep in mind or as you're building out your website yourself to. There's a couple of things you need to make sure you're doing to make sure you actually have a good website. Because what I'm seeing here is you might not need the most beautiful website, but you still want to make sure that it's professional. And there's a saying which is first impressions leave a Lasting impression, right? Because if people go on your website and in the first five minutes it looks like complete trash, it looks really unprofessional. That's also not a really good look, right? In fact, you're probably not going to convert at all. So what actually makes a website good or a website bad? There's a couple key things which I've identified. So a really good motto to live by is just keep it simple. And the reason why you want to keep it simple is because you don't want to add in a bunch of different pages, a bunch of fancy animations, a bunch of these different things into your website. And the reason why, at least not in the beginning, and the reason why is because not only will this just take you way too much time to do for yourself, you might not know how to do that right now. And if you wanted to add in all these fancy animations, you're going to have to learn how to do that. So it takes up a lot of your time. And again, it's not revenue generating activities. But the other reason why you want to just keep it simple is because you don't want to run into the risk of overwhelming or confusing your visitors. Because what's worse than having a bad website or just a really unprofessional website is having a website where people go onto it and they're not able to understand what you do, what you sell, how you help them within the first few seconds, right? That's worse than not having a website if someone is having a website that is just way too confusing, or you're talking about a bunch of different things, or the messaging is not congruent. On top of that, you also don't want to make this process just harder than it is. So I actually found this quote whilst putting this presentation together. Don't make the process harder than it is. And this is a really great motto to live by while you are building your own business, while you're building your own lead generation agency, not even just building a website, but anything you try to do, try to keep it as simple as you can and don't make it harder than it is. So the number one thing that you want to think about as you are building out your website, you're building up your landing page is again, keep it professional and approach it from the perspective of what would someone's first impression be. So once you have the website built out, try to show it to your friend or a family member, or if you aren't able to do that, just open it in Incognito mode and try to take an unbiased approach. Load up your website and ask yourself what would someone's first initial impression be? Here are the good elements of what makes a website good. A good website is very clear in terms of who the business serves. So who am the. Who are you selling to? A good website is very clear in terms of what the service is. A good website is very clear in terms of what the end result is. A good website is very clear in terms of what the next steps are. So the reason why, if you notice these four points, each of these four points I use the same word, very clear because that's the overlying theme. As you're building your website, make sure it is clear. Your messaging is as clear as humanly possible. Again, what's worse than not having a website is having an unclear website where someone goes on and they're just confused. Now on the other hand, a bad website is just designed to appeal to everyone, right? You're selling to everyone under the sun. A bad website leaves visitors confused as to what you sell, who you help, that type of thing. And a bad website leaves just more questions than answers. Someone goes onto your website and they leave your website just having more questions than the answers that you're providing them. Pretty self explanatory. So now that you understand the theory of what makes a good website from a bad website, what does this kind of look like in practice? So how do you actually create a converting website or a converting landing page? So to give you a better understanding as to how to actually create a converting website, here is kind of a framework for how your website could look. So as I'm showing you this, what I'm going to do is the first thing I'm going to do is I put together this little diagram to show you the theory. And then after that I'm going to jump into my website builder and walk you through the specific process to show you how simple it is. So as I'm doing that, I want you to notice the following. I want you to see how I'm calling out who your lead generation agency serves, the specific niche or the specific industry that you're selling to. I want you to notice how, how specific the headline is, how it has a tangible outcome, a tangible result, meaning it leaves zero room for confusion. I want you to notice how I have a video which is called a video sales letter. I'm not going to cover that in today's video. I have separate videos on my YouTube channel talking specifically about this. My next Video is going to be talked about this as well. But notice the video, which is the VSL to warm up cold traffic and to explain your service. So again, separate YouTube video on this notice the separate call to action. The specific call to action I have, meaning that prospects just won't need to be guessing as to what the next step is. And I also want you to notice how at the end of the page I have a calendar to actually book a call. Meaning there is zero friction. There isn't a lot of back and forth, unnecessary back and forth. And the leads or the people on your website, if they are interested in your service, they're able to just book a call right then and there if they are interested in. So this is actually what this looks like in practice. I just threw this diagram together on Canva right as I was putting this together. So if you look at the website just right at the top, you're calling out specifically who this is for. For marketing agencies, for recruitment agencies. How to get result in timeline without pain points. So this is kind of your offer. So by doing this you're just right off the bat, you're just very specific in terms of who you're selling to, who your message is for, who it's intended for. Again, right? You don't want to be selling to everyone. It's not going to work. At least in the beginning. When you're first starting your business and you don't have case studies, you need to be very specific in terms of who you work with and you need to be very specific in terms of your specific result that you are helping them solve. So how to get result in timeline without pain point. Obviously this is the video player. So this is where your VSL is going to be put. Again, my next video is going to be talking about this vsl. I call it the Indirect vsl. So keep an eye out for that, your call to action button, which leads them to the next step and then finally your calendar. So for my business I use Calendly. A lot of people use Calendly. I think Calendly might be the most popular calendar scheduling software out there. But there's a bunch of other stuff. There's acuity scheduling, there's go high level. There is, you know, more calendar softwares than I can name, just even off the bat. But I personally use Calendly. So this is the format for how you want to do it and I hope you can see how simple this is. So no need to complicate the process. And this specific formula just works. Time and time again. And it's still the exact same formula that I use for my own agency as I made over $500,000 plus in sales with my own business. So this process just clearly, clearly works. So simple, right? So by following this format again, you leave zero uncertainty for your website visitors and you're not making the process more complicated than it needs to be. And because it's so simple, you are also able to build up this website in literally less than an hour. And even if you're not tech savvy, it'll be very easy to do. And I'll walk you through this following. You know, at the end of this video, I'm going to be building out a website in front of you and you could time it and you will see how quick I'm able to do it. And just to prove this to be true again, right, I'm just going to build out one right now and show you how simple it is. Personally, the website builder I use is Card Co for my website. The reason why I use it, I'm not affiliated with them. I don't know who owns it, all of that stuff. But the reason I use it is because it's just really cost efficient. I think it's like $15 a year annually, which means it's a little bit over like a dollar a month, which is very, very cost efficient, very strong value. It's drag and drop, meaning again, you don't need to understand code, you don't need to, you don't need to be tech savvy. You just click a button, type in your text and you're good to go format it, that type of stuff. And in the past I've used Webflow, I've used WordPress, I've used ClickFunnels, I use GoHighLevel. But time and time again I've always just reverted back to Card because of its simplicity and how easy it is to set up and make edits as I'm going. So what I'm going to do now is I'm actually going to jump into CARRD and walk you through that process of me building up a website just to show you how to, how you can actually do it and to show you how quick it could be done. All right, so what you're seeing on my screen right now is Cart Co. Again, this is the website builder that I recommend. As you can see, you see all of these sites that I built in the past because I still use Cart Co to this very day for my own business because it just Works really, really well. Once you have card, you're going to log in and you're going to press new site. Over here, there's a bunch of these different templates that you can choose from to build your own business, to build your own agency's website to. But for the purposes of this example, I'm just going to press blank canvas. This is what it's going to look like. The very first thing that you want to do is add in a container. So I'm just going to add in a container. This is what it's going to look like. This is the text. And what you could do is, if you follow that framework that we literally just went through, the very first thing you want to do is just right at the top, call out who you are selling to. So for this purpose, for this example, I'm just going to use marketing agency. So I'm just gonna put for marketing agencies. And what you could do is I'm just going to make this look a little bit better. So I'm just gonna search up the sirens emoji. And what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna copy this and I'm gonna paste it over here for marketing agencies. And then what you want to do is a headline after that with your offer. So we're gonna put it right under this. You could also stretch this out because I think this looks like it's in the middle of the page. So. So we're going to move it to the top and that way you're good with. We're going to stretch that out all the way. Sizing. We're going to make it as large as we can. You could play around with this. Obviously, for the purpose of the example, I'm just going to show you how to do it. You could play around with the formatting, make it look a lot better, all of that stuff for text, I'm just going to put in our offer. So for marketing agencies, how we can generate you, let's say five to 20 sales calls every month on autopilot. You can say something like that. And now obviously, don't copy me word for word because, you know, I'm literally just freestyling this off the top of my head. You want to take your offers, so obviously you need to do research into your own icp, whoever it is you're selling, and write a compelling headline. Part of this is copywriting, and you want to make sure that your headline is compelling, all of that stuff, because that's what people will read when they first go onto your website. So I'm just going to make this a little bit bigger. So font. I'm just going to keep it at default. I'm going to make this a little bit bigger. Let's see. So I will keep at 1.5. I'll make it way more bold, actually goes on to the next line. So I'm just going to make it a 2 for marketing agencies. Maybe I'll make this bigger. 1.25 maybe. So keep it a regular. Maybe I'm just going to write another line. So let's just say we're going to duplicate this and move this over here for marketing agencies. How we could generate you five to 20 sales calls every month on autopilot without relying on, you know, word of mouth or spending, spending a dollar on paid ads, something like that after that. So we have our headline, we know who it is that we're calling out. You might want to add your video sales letters. I'm just going to put my video over here. Now obviously I do not have one right here, but you could upload it or you can embed it, which could be like a YouTube link, a Facebook link, a loom, Vimeo, YouTube, whatever the case is. You could go and go ahead and do that. I'm just going to move it back to upload so we see it. I'm just going to make it large over here. This is what this looks like so far. So it's looking pretty promising. We're calling out who, we're doing the headline without the video. The next step we want to do is the button. So we're just going to add in a button. This is kind of your call to action because after people watch through your video, they read through your headline, they're going to start thinking to themselves if they are interested, what are the next steps? And obviously in your video you're going to call that out again. It's going to be my next video that I talk about. We're going to click this, we're going to edit. Let's just say your next step is to set up a sales call. Personally, I call it a strategy call. You call it discount discovery call, you call it a bunch of different things, whatever you want, free consultation call, set up, strategy call. And then obviously over here, if you want people to click on this button and it leads to your calendar, you're going to paste that over there. What I'm going to do is I'm just going to make it a little bit bigger heights. You get rounded if you want. Maybe we'll do a little bit. We can make the sizing a little bit bigger. So I'm just going to come down here, sizing, make it a little bit bigger weight. We're going to bolt this a little bit. I think this is looking clean. Again you could play around with the colors and let's just see what this looks like so far. We're just going to call it test. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9. Hopefully this works. Checking. Oh, it's not usable. So I'm just going to write in some random stuff available. Publish unfinished elements, Save this, go to elements. Okay, so it's the video. So what we're going to do is I'm actually just going to go onto YouTube and I'm going to pull in a random YouTube video. But for the purposes of what we're doing, I'm just going to let's just take a cold email video, start and then we're gonna paste it over here. Upload, embed and we're just gonna paste in the YouTube video. And now we see the YouTube video. Let's save this again. Publish. Okay. And we're just gonna open this up. So for marketing agencies, how we can generate you 5 to 20 sales costs every month on autopilot without relying a word to, without relying on word of mouth or spending a dollar on paid ads. And here is the VSL now again, right. Obviously I think this isn't the best looking and in order now obviously this isn't the best looking website because I literally just put this together right now. But play around with the font, play around the spacing, play around with the colors. You don't necessarily need a white background. You can spend some time doing this, but this is the overall idea. I think the final thing that you want is a calendar. How you could go about doing that is just press this and press embed and over here you're going to embed the code. So what I'm going to do is I'm going to show you how to do that. Okay, cool. So what you're seeing right now is my calendly again. This is what I use to schedule zoom calls and sales calls with, you know, prospective clients, leads, all of that stuff. This is actually a calendar event I already have. I'm just going to press share and again this is for calendly but I'm sure the process is similar if you're using any other tool. I'm just going to press add to website, inline, embed, continue and just a code. Obviously you could Change the colors and stuff like that to match your website to make it more aesthetically pleasing. We're going to copy that, go back into card and over here where we added the embed, we're going to press code and you could call it calendar style, inline and a code. I'm just going to paste in the code and I'm going to press done and then we're going to save this again and see what this website looks like. View site. So the headline, the vsl, the strategy call and also the calendar. What you could also do is because this button, when you click it, it leads nowhere. It just goes back to the top of the site. You could also link it from over here because if we go here domain path, you can paste in your calendly link actually. So what you could do instead is it wouldn't be an embed, you just press share, copy, link and you could just paste it in there. And then again we're going to save this one more time just to show you and make sure that this works. So if you site and then if you click the button it leads to the calendar. But yeah. So this is literally how you build a landing page, build a website for your own lead generation agency. It's very simple. I think this process was literally less than 10 minutes. I think it's seven or eight minutes long of me showing you how to do this. So the reason why I wanted to walk you through this is because imagine how much time you're saving if you're able to build a website that actually works and you're able to literally do that in literally 10 minutes. Now obviously it looks, you know, respectfully, it looks kind of ugly. There's a lot of things you could do differently. Maybe change the colors, add more pictures, all of that stuff. But realistically this process is not going to take you that long because this is literally the core fundamentals of having the website and everything else that you add onto this and it's just gonna make it better or make it better looking. Now again, keep it simple, don't go crazy with all these random things, but that's literally how you do it. And just to show you an example of my own website, this is my own agency website which is live. If you go to Salesway IO, you will see this right at the top. I call out as a business owner now obviously don't copy me because where I'm at in my business is probably gonna be different from where you are if you're starting your own business. I have a lot of case studies. I have a lot of experience. I have an audience where people, business owners come to work. So I'm able to go a little bit more broad in terms of my messaging. But in the beginning, you need to be hyper specific. So when I first started my business, it didn't say as a business owner. I said as a recruitment agency owner or as a marketing agent owner, similar to what I walked you through. So I call who I work with. I have a pretty compelling headline now, again, be creative, do not copy me. And I say exactly what we do. We build open prospecting infrastructures for B2B businesses. This is the VSO. This is my button. I obviously have an online presence, so I have a link to my YouTube, I have a link to my LinkedIn. I have a button to schedule a call. Now what I do is because I have a lot of content, because a lot of people that I work with, again, right, if I'm emailing them, it's cold traffic. I need to warm them up and nurture them and showcase my credibility, show them that I know what I'm doing. I'm an expert at cold emails. I have a couple of videos that I put on my YouTube channel. You could find these videos yourself where I'm just talking about cold emails and the things that I've learned, the insights, how I booked 16 sales calls in a single week, how I booked a sales call with Amazon and Gymshark, yada, yada, yada, right? And this way, it nurtures the business owners who come onto this website and then as they are after, you know, they read the headline, they watch the vsl, they're interested, they go down the process and they see these videos and they're even more interested. And as they watch this stuff, it warms them up and it showcases my expertise. And by the time they jump onto a sales call with me or with someone on my team, they are already warmed up. So that's what that looks like. And obviously this is my calendar. I don't take my own sales calls anymore. I have a salesperson that I hired, but that's a story for a separate time. But this is kind of my website. You could go and look and see how I still follow this exact same framework. And this isn't the most beautiful website, but it is professional, it is simple, it's very clear in terms of who I help, what I do and how I can help them. And as you can see, this, you know, this clearly just works. But that's pretty much the video. Hope you found this video valuable. Your action step if you're watching this video is go and build your own landing page using cart or, you know, whatever builder that you want to use. But I personally use cart and don't spend too much time on it. So hope you find this video valuable and I'll see you in the next one. See ya.
