How to Send 1,000 Cold Emails Per Day (Without Landing In Spam)

Jimmy Fung breaks down sending 1,000 cold emails daily without spam filters catching them. Use burner domains with multiple Outlook accounts, warm each for 14 days, cap sends at 30-35 per account, vary wording with spintax, and verify leads to keep bounces under 5%. You need roughly 11 domains and 33 addresses to hit that volume.
Questions this video answers
Three business email accounts per domain.
Approximately 30–35 cold emails per day per account.
A minimum of 14 days.
Above 5% bounce rate will risk landing in spam.
Eleven domains (using three inboxes per domain → 33 inboxes total).
So over the last few months, I have sent 1 million plus cold emails and have booked thousands of sales calls. So when people are first starting sending emails and they're just not getting results, one of the largest mistakes they're making is they're just not sending enough volume. And for most people, when they're first starting out, most people, they actually underestimate the amount of cold emails it actually takes in order to get results. And for most people, it's just not enough to be sending 50 cold emails a day. It's not enough to just be sending 150 plus cold emails per day. It might not even be enough to be sending 500 emails a day. But in order to just get really good results with cold emails, it's not just purely about sending the most amount of cold emails you possibly can. What's more important than volume is email deliverability because it really doesn't matter if you have the best cold email scripts, it doesn't matter if you have the best leads and if none of your emails are being read and if none of them deliver in the inbox. So in today's video, I'll be sharing with you a step by step guide on what you can do to send thousands of cold emails every single day while making sure that your emails are likely to be read by maintaining strong email deliverability. So step one, which is buying your domains. So there's a ton of different domain providers out there. There's GoDaddy, there's Namecheap, there's Parkbun Park. Personally, for me, inside of my own agency and for all of my clients, I use porkmund.com to buy all my domains. The reason why is I just personally found it to be the best mix of cost and ease to set up. So what you're seeing right now is porkbun.com Again, this is what I use inside my own agency and for all of my clients to buy email domains, you can obviously go out and use GoDaddy, you can use Namecheap, you could use Google, you could use whatever you want. I personally just use porkmund.com and what I did for the purposes of this video is I just came up with a random name. Let's say your business is called Vantage Genius. That's the name of your business. Your main domain might be vantage genius.com so your main business email might be jimmy@vantagegenius.com but the number one thing you want to understand is when you're sending cold emails, since technically it is sales and marketing, you always run into the risk of the domain getting blacklisted, of it getting burned, or anything else that could potentially happen to it. And if you're using your main domain to actually send cold emails, if it does get blacklisted, you're kind of screwed, basically, right? All of your emails, whether it be to your own team members, to your own employees, to your own clients, they will just all go into the spam and it's just not going to work for the purposes of your business. So make sure that if you're sending cold emails, you are buying what's called burner domains. And one of the largest questions people have for me is they asked me, hey, Jimmy, so my name, my business name is called vantagegenius.com. how do I go out and just buy 20 domains? So what you could do is on porkbun.com I'm just going to show you how I personally go about doing this. So this is your main domain and you obviously want to buy other burner domains. The data suggests that buying.com domains have the best deliverability. So if you're buying.co domains.agency.domains.net.org it will have worse deliverability than.com domains. So what you want to do is you could actually just manipulate the spelling of your domain. So rather than saying vantage genius, you could remove and I'm just going to search it and, and it's going to be available, right? Most likely it's going to be available. You can remove a G and you could go like that. You could add, you could remove the S, you could add an extra S. You could do things like this, right? And you can manipulate the spelling, use an E over here instead of the a. And all of these domains, most likely they will be available. So even for here, right, it's loading. It is available. And that's what you want to do for all of your domains. Don't overthink it. You could just manipulate the spelling. And if your domain is just really, really short and there's just no way for you to manipulate it or you just run out of options, you can always add words like try. You can add words like go. You can add all of these different words. But just a word of caution, just make sure that your domains are not super long. So if they become like 20 letters long, then obviously it's just not as easy to read just right off the bat. So which is why I almost always just resort to manipulating the spelling, adding an extra letter, adding extra e, adding an extra s, subtracting a letter, whatever the Case is that's personally what I do to just buy all my burner domains. So step two is buying the email addresses. So what you want to do is you want to buy three email accounts for every one domain that you have, and every single one of those email addresses could comfortably and Safely send between 30 and 35 cold emails a day or two. If you send more than 30 to 35, you 100% run into the risk of just all of your emails just landing in the spam or the junk box. So what you're seeing now is the Microsoft 365 admin center. So again, I buy all my domains from Porkbund and I set them up using Microsoft Outlook Business Basic licenses. That's what I use to actually set up the email inboxes. Now in the past I used Google Workspace and I did that for like the first six months of my business and it worked great. The problem I ran into is once I got past let's say 20 email accounts, 30 email accounts, whenever I needed to just sign into the email accounts to do just whatever I needed to do, it would start prompting me for a phone number. Now obviously I only have one phone and if you're watching this video, you most likely only have one phone number as well. You don't have 10 different phone numbers. And if you have 20 different email addresses, it's going to ask you for 20 different phone numbers. And obviously there's different services online to get like these virtual phone numbers, but it's just not a long term solution. So what I found as the best alternative is to just use Outlook because on Outlook, whenever you sign into any of these email accounts, it won't prompt you for a phone number. So it basically just solved that entire problem. And I wish I found that out sooner, but what you're seeing right now is one of my clients on the Microsoft 365 admin center. And as you can see, you see a ton of these email accounts that we have set up for him. Now again, the math is for every one domain that you have, you want to set up three Business Basic email accounts. Now people have asked me in the past, how many emails should I set up? You could do one, you could do two. I personally just found three to be the best. And if you want to follow the infrastructure that I personally set up, I set up three email accounts for every one domain. And again, I do it entirely using Microsoft 365 Outlook Business Basic. So step three, which is configuring your email domains, so jumping back into porkbun, Your very next step is to actually configure and set up your domains. Because it's not enough to just buy the domain, set up the email accounts and call it a day. There's different records that you actually have to set up in order to maximize your email deliverability. So some of those records are dmarc, dkim, spf. And under Pork button, what you could do is, let's say these are your domains, these are my own personal domains. What you could do is after you buy them, there's a button over here under Quick DNS Configurations where you could kind of just select your email provider. Obviously we're using Office 365 for the purposes of what I do. So you're just going to click this button. Now, obviously minor set up, so I'm not going to press. Ok, but you just want to press that button. And what that will do is it will automatically set up a bunch of these different records that will connect your email account towards Outlook, set up your domains, basically connecting portbun to Microsoft and all of its email servers. What that will do is it will set up the SPF and it'll connect it. Your very next step is to actually set up the DMARC record. So for DMARC record, this is the website that I use, It's MX Toolbox, the DMARC generator. And you just want to put in your own domain and you just want to press check DMARC record. Now, I've obviously already done this, but what you see is on the right side, they'll be under this green little bubble. It'll say created record output. And this is the record that you want to move inside of your porkmod domain. So you're just going to copy all these details, you're going to use a text, you're going to set up this host name, you're going to. You're going to copy this value and you're going to go back into Pork button and you're just going to add a record right at the top. So again, it's a text record. You click text record under the host, you're going to select this, you're going to copy this in and then under value, you're going to post it under answer, and then you just want to press add. Now, again, I set up the DMARC for this domain again, so I'm not going to do it again for this video. But that's exactly what you want to do under dkim, you would do that under the Microsoft Outlook Admin center. Just search up dkim under the search and you will give a record that you're going to do the exact same thing and move it into your pork1.com and that's essentially how you would set up the DMARC, the SPF and the DKIM records for your domains. Step 4 warming up your actual email accounts so when you're first buying all of your email accounts, you're buying all your domains, you can't just set them up and start blasting cold emails from day one. What you need to do is slowly warm up your email accounts. So basically what this does is, is it slowly ramps up your cold emails by sending emails to other email addresses inside of a warm up pool. So what you want to do is making sure that all of your email accounts are warming up for a minimum of 14 days in order to maximize your domain reputation and to make sure that by the time you're actually sending cold emails, it will land in the inbox. So what this actually means is during that 14 day warmup period, you should not be sending any cold emails. You should not be doing any outreach. You should be, you should not be emailing any new leads. Now to warm up your actual email accounts, there's a bunch of different tools on the market that will allow you to warm up your emails. I personally use Smart Lead AI, which is what you're seeing on the screen right now. You can also use instantly AI. There's just a bunch of different tools. But again I use Smart Lead. What you're seeing right now is again one of my clients. We see we have 44 email accounts and all of these email accounts, they are warming up. And what you could do is you probably notice that just right off at the top it says your trial expires in eight days. So one of the major reasons why I use Smart Lead AI is remember how in the warm up section you're warming up and ramping up your brand new email accounts for 14 days, meaning you're not actually sending emails, you're not reaching out to new people using that. So Smart Lead, they actually have a 14 day trial. Guess what else is 14 days? Your warm up period. So what that means is if you're smart about it, you can line up your warming period with the Smart Lead AI trial, meaning that by the time you actually pay for your Smartly AI subscription, which is what I personally use to actually send out my cold emails to on a day to day basis, you're just going to get a return and replies and just get Results relatively quick, but I personally just line them up with the free trial and these are my client accounts that are actually warming. And we click into one of them, we see this email count. We set them up two days ago and today is day three actually. So we warmed them up yesterday and the day before that. And Yesterday there was 10 warming emails that was received. We personally sent out five warming emails. And we're just going to be doing this for the next 12 days. And again, this is the tool that I use. You can use a bunch of different tools, but if you want to follow the exact same infrastructure that I personally use inside my own agency and for all my clients, I just strongly recommend smartly, mainly for the trial, to be honest. Right. Because who wants to pay for something when you're just not going to get a return right away? STEP 5 Avoid sending a high volume of emails from a single email account. So obviously the more emails you send, the higher the risk and the more likely it is that you land in the spam box more or the junk folder. And it's pretty self explanatory. So here's kind of the math on how you could decide how many email accounts and how many domains you need in order to send the desired amount of email volume that you're looking for. So here's the math. Let's say you are looking to send 1,000 emails per day. If each email can send 30 emails per day, that would mean you need 33 email addresses and 33 email inboxes. Now since you would only get three email inboxes per one domain, that means you would need 11 domains in order to send 1,000 cold emails every single day. Step 6 using SpinTax. So when you're sending cold emails, and especially if you're sending thousands of cold emails every single day, if you are sending 1000 cold emails with the same exact words 1000 times, you will get flagged by the algorithm. So what we could do is use a strategy called spintax, where essentially what it is is you're able to say the exact same thing, you're saying the same message with, with different words. So that means is every single email across those 1,000, you're saying the same overall message, but you're not using the exact same word for word, meaning you're able to bypass the algorithm. Because if you were to manually send cold emails, which again obviously we're not doing here, you wouldn't be able to just copy and paste a message anyways. You would be every single message they might say the same thing or similar message, but the specific words that you use would be completely different. So to show you how you can actually spin tax your email, what you're seeing is I just fired up this random cold email campaign. Again, do not copy this text because I literally just wrote this up in 10 seconds to show you how it's done. So we see this email, it says, hi John, we help B2B agencies sign new clients. Guaranteed. Are you interested? What you want to do is spin taxes email so that when you're sending a thousand of these messages, it's not just word for word, the exact same. What you could do is inside smart lead. You could, is you can spin tax it exactly like this. So rather than saying hi, you can say hello and then you would just add in that line and then close the brackets and then John will obviously be a variable. Rather than saying we help B2B agencies, you can say we partner, we partner with. And then again, right, you're basically seeing the exact same thing. So do you see how you're saying the overall same message but you're using different words to do it, to sign new clients, to sign more clients, to sign additional clients. So those are just different ways that you would go about spin testing your email. That way you're saying the exact same message, but on any given email they're just not carbon copies of each other, basically allowing you to bypass the algorithm. So there's a bunch of different ways to do this. And what I advise to you is come up with as many spin tax variables as you humanly can. But at the same time, don't overdo it to the point where you break the sentence. So if you run out of ways to just rewrite what you're trying to say, don't write it in a like just a very unnatural way. Don't write it in a way that you wouldn't just say it in a day to day conversation. Because in many cases having too much spin tax could be worse than just having no spin tax at all. So don't overdo it, but try to do as many spin taxes as you can. So step seven, spam checking your emails. So I'm sure we've all received it inside our inboxes. You might get emails from people using words like free, guaranteed, more. Those type of words will get flagged by the algorithm and if you're including them as part of your cold emails, you will get flagged and your emails will land in the spam box. So to make sure that the cold emails you are actually writing, don't just have random spam words in them. What you could then do is use a tool called Mail Meteor to actually just check your emails. So do this for every single cold email that you write for. Again, this is smart lead. I'm just going to copy over the campaign that we just caught, that we just created, that we just spin tax. And you're going to open up this website called Mail Meteor Spam Checker. And what you could do is just paste it in and the way I wrote it, obviously on an actual code email campaign. I've done this thousands of times. I'm not going to be using words like guaranteed, I'm not going to be using words like new. But I still wanted to illustrate and show you. So if your email that you just crafted up have these words, they're going to get flagged. And obviously it says, well, we have a poor email because one of them, the word guaranteed is over promise and the word new is shady. So what you could do is inside this tool, whenever it gets flagged, just remove it or try to rewrite that actual sentence. So very simple for the word new, just remove it. We already have the words more, we already have the words additional, which basically means the exact same thing. I wouldn't use the word guaranteed. You could just remove it because it's not necessary for the purpose of this email. But obviously I wrote the word guaranteed so that I could show you that how this tool works and that it will actually flag it. So make sure that every single cold email that you craft, every single part of the sequence, you run it through this tool just to make sure that it's a great email. So for example, over here now it says, great, because we just removed all of those words that will trigger the spam filters. Step 8 Making sure you're not sending links or any images. So one of the largest mistakes I see people make is when they're crossing the cold emails to just right out the gate, they send a bunch of links, they send links to a video, they send links to websites, or they're sending images. And what that will do is it will 100% mess with your email deliverability. And it kind of makes sense. So the general rule is never send links, never send any images, never send anyone to your website unless someone replies back to your emails. Once someone replies back to your emails, that's when it's safe to send links and to send images and just a little bit of more of a background story. So recently I worked with a client who, who was sending thousands of cold emails a day and they were just not getting that many replies. So what I did was I took a look at the campaigns and I saw inside their signature they had a bunch of images, company logos, LinkedIn headshots. They even had their website. And once we removed that, the very next day we were able to 5x just the email reply rates. And the reason why is because their emails were probably landing in spam when they had all of these things inside of their email signature. Step 9 actually making sure you're sending good cold emails. So there's no secrets here. This is not rocket science. And there's a lot of people online telling you the secret strategies or to use these different tricks or basically these different gimmicks. And what happens is, at the end of the day, you just need to make sure that you're sending quality emails. Are your emails relevant? Are they straight to the point? Do they sound spammy? Because if you're sending these emails, even if you're sending a million emails, you're, if you are just writing random words, you're still not going to get results. That's basically what it is. You're not spamming people. That's not what this strategy is. So you have to make sure that any cold emails that you write, they actually make sense. And you want to ask yourself, if you were to receive an email with the messaging that you wrote, would you actually be curious and interested in potentially replying back, or will you just automatically disregard it and mark it in your mind, a spam alongside all the thousands of emails that, that you have inside of Your inbox? Step 10 Making sure you're verifying all of your leads. Because what happens is if you're sending your cold emails and you have a bounce rate above 5%, all of your cold emails will land in spam. So the reason why you need to make sure you're verifying all your leads is let's say you're emailing a guy called johnsmithicrosoft.com but what happens if John Smith no longer works at Microsoft? What happens if you change roles, change companies, and now he works at Google? So if you continue sending that cold email to johnsmithicrosoft.com, that email will bounce. In fact, it will hard bounce, meaning it won't even deliver at all. And if you get over 5% bounce rates across your email campaign, you 100% will land in spam. So make sure you are verifying all of your leads. And in order to verify your leads, list so obviously I have a bunch of different videos on my channel talked about how to actually scrape the leads list. Whether you're scraping from Apollo, from LinkedIn or any other tool, it will give you a CSV file. What you want to do every single time is use a tool like millionverifier.com this is personally what I use, where you upload that CSV file of the leads you just scraped to really just double check it and make sure they're actually valid emails. Meaning when you send cold emails to them, the chance of it bouncing is extremely, extremely low. So again I use Million Verifier. There's other tools in the market like never bounce. You could go and Google this and you will find a bunch of different tools. I personally just use this and what you can see right now is this is a leads list that I uploaded. I scraped it off of Apollo and I uploaded. I think there were like 25 contacts or something like that. And as we can see, 50% of those emails are good emails. Actually There might be 20 emails here because 7 +4 +3 or whatever the case is. I'm not that good at math. But anyways, you want to make sure you're verifying your entire leads list. You're going to upload it to Million Verifier, you're going to verify and you're going to download only the good emails. Only now for the sake of this video. I already downloaded that and I moved it into a Google Sheets so that you can see. And once you upload it to Google Sheets, this is what you see. You see a bunch of these just columns I guess, right? And we see quality, we see the results and you just want to make sure that all of your emails is good quality. What you also want to do is you just want to double check your rows. Because one of the biggest mistakes I made a few months ago was I just downloaded off a million verifier and I just uploaded directly to Smart Lead without double checking. And what actually happened was the million verified it actually messed it up. And for example, we see over here some of the emails, they are a little bit off, right? So for this guy, Brian, it matches his first name, Brian Steven and matches Steven. So we know that Million Verifier didn't just mess up this leads list, but it could happen. A very small chance, but it could happen. And if you double, don't double check, you're going to just be sending emails to a guy called John when his email might say Max Smith or something like that. So you want to make sure that you're double checking and you want to make sure that you are uploading every single leads list that you're scraping and uploading it to million verifier, verifying it, downloading it, and then just double checking your leads. Listen.
