In this MontyTV interview, host Jackie Karsh speaks with Ishan Mukherjee, co‑founder and CEO of Rox, about the state of AI adoption in 2026. Ishan notes a common gap: many companies claim to be integrating AI but fail to leverage its full capabilities. He argues that the most successful CEOs are those who translate AI into clear productivity gains, especially in sectors like healthcare and financial services. The key differentiator, he says, is having clear metrics and priorities that cut through hype, allowing teams to identify automatable tasks and boost employee output. For CEOs watching, Ishan advises focusing on pragmatic outcomes, maintaining urgency, and shifting from long‑term planning to short, weekly or daily sprint cycles to execute AI initiatives effectively. The conversation underscores the need for clarity, measurable goals, and disciplined execution to stay relevant in a rapidly evolving AI landscape.

You're watching Monty TV. I'm Jackie Karsh, sitting down now with Ishan Mukherjee. He's the co-founder and CEO of ROCS. Thank you so much for sitting down with us.
Yeah, absolutely. Thanks for having me. First time here, so super excited.
There are sometimes gaps between companies that say they're integrating AI and when they actually integrate it. Are you finding that some companies are advertising that they're working with AI but aren't using or utilizing all the features that it really can do.
The best are getting better. The best CEOs have taken an AI and actually driven kind of productivity gains. And if you're not doing that, it's kind of hard to stay relevant. Like the best CEOs are transforming.
It's a little bit of a situation where we're flying the plane as we're building it, especially when it comes to AI. And 2026 has been such a rapid fire of just AI deployment. AI integration. Where do you see the greatest gaps over the course of the year? Where do you see the most opportunity?
I think having clear metrics and priorities that they want to move is the difference between the best and folks who are not the best. People have to kind of rise above the noise floor, kind of sift through all of the hype and really understand kind of what can AI do for healthcare? What can AI do for financial services? And having that clarity is actually like the most important thing. Turns out once you have clarity, it's not that complicated. Okay, here's something I need to do. I want to automate this or make these employees kind of dramatically productive. The rest is doable. The software is here.
One final question for you. A CEO is watching this. What do you want to tell them about advice about incorporating this type of technology and making sure they're ready for the future?
Focus and urgency. Having focus in terms of what is the pragmatic outcome that you want to drive is the difference between like the time to have midterm plans, monthly plans is gone. Like have really ambitious long-term plans and then execute like you're pedaling downhill. Weekly plans, daily sprints.
Well, Ishan, thank you so much, and we look forward to seeing what's next for you guys.
Absolutely. Thanks for having me, and excited for this conference.
