The video is a lyrical and spoken piece by Jack Conte that weaves together a repetitive, introspective song about the fleeting nature of moments, personal uncertainty, and the passage of time. Multiple spoken voices (Speakers B, C, D) interject with brief reflections on strength, youth, love, and existential longing, creating a layered dialogue. The piece culminates in a direct address from Jack Conte, where he thanks viewers for sending over 700 photos and stories that inspired a personal project, expressing deep gratitude and acknowledging the emotional impact of the shared memories. The overall tone shifts from contemplative and poetic to conversational and appreciative, ending with a brief farewell.

I wonder where the moments go. I wonder when I got so old. I still remember the treehouse and playing in the snow. Oh, I wonder where those moments all go. I wonder when we really start. No, not the brain and not the heart. There must be a measurable moment when we come out of the dark. Oh, I wonder when we all really start. This could be the only life that I ever know, ever know.
So breathe in deep.
And hold on tight, kids, we're in for a ride. I wonder where the moments go after all the stars explode, when culture and history and nature disappear in a black hole. Oh, I wonder where those moments will go. This could be The only life that I ever know, ever know. So breathe in deep and hold on tight. Kids, we're in for a ride. I wonder where the moments go.
Can't we have a little more?
Take a hand, hold it tight.
Oh, what a beautiful ride. At the tail end of the show, I wonder where the moments go.
At the tail end of the show, I wonder where the moments go.
I don't know just where.
I'm going where I'm supposed to be. I just follow what I'm thinking and what makes sense to me. If it all blows away, well, that's just fine. If it all goes to shit, well, that's just It's fine. I don't know just what I'm thinking or what I'm supposed to be. I just follow where my legs go and listen to my feet. If it runs me off a cliff, well, that's just fine. If it all goes to shit, well, that's just fine.
I'm young, I'm healthy. I got my whole life ahead of me.
And I feel strong.
I'm a freak, I'm a sicko, but what the hell do I know? I feel fine, but I don't have the strength, I don't have the time, I don't have the faith, though I try. Yeah, I'm young and I'm healthy. I got my whole life ahead of me.
I feel fine. But I don't have the strength.
Strength. I don't have the time. I don't have the faith. Though I try, I'm young and I'm healthy. I got my whole life ahead of me and I feel fine.
But I have to tell you that I love you still. There's no such thing as on or off. It's a spectrum of blood from red to not. So I have I have to tell you that I love you still. I know it's not much, but it's all that I got. So I have to tell you, you're you, you're not me.
I love you.
You're back.
Wait, you're gone.
It's hard to admit we fought, we lost. So I have to tell you that I love you still. I know it's not much, but it's all. That I got, so I have to tell you. God, I hate to see you so. The world is straight fucked up, I know, so I have to tell you that I love you.
Still.
And someday I'll see you again. Until I do, farewell, my friend. But I have to tell you that I love you.
Still.
Yes, I have to tell you that I love you still.
Hi everybody. Um, I owe you such a huge thanks for sending me your photos and sharing all your stories with me. It meant so much to me as I was working on this project. When I first started receiving emails and looking through photos, I was so moved. It was actually— it was unexpected. I thought it would be— I thought it would feel important, but I was— I was really very affected by looking at all your stories and your images. So thank you so much for sending them to me. And I got over 700 emails from people, and it would be— it would take me a year to go through and respond to them all personally. But I, I, I just owe you such a huge thank you. And yeah, I just want to say I really appreciate your sharing all that with me, both the images and the stories. It means a lot to me. I hope you enjoyed the video and seeing other people's memories and other people's stories. Okay.
