Jack Conte announces Pablomoose's EP is finally on iTunes and shares he's making a video song for a TV commercial. He uses Final Cut Pro and Pro Tools, explains why his guitar sounds muffled (green pickup under the bridge), and plans a live webcast Thursday at 3 PM to debut a new video song.

I took my head for its midnight walk.
No, no, I hadn't been outside in days. I kept the leash by my side, but it wasn't quite tight, and I lost it. So now I'm wandering the countryside.
Whoa.
Right past them brothels and the graveyard guard. I'll take care of the mess I've made. I'll take care of the mess I've made. I want your presence in this here perfect timing. Tell me, will you tell me? Hold on, hold on. Hello everybody.
Hi, hello, hi, hey. Couple things I wanted to say. Doing another vlog. Vlog time.
Woohoo!
There's a lot of things that I wanted to say and people that have been covering songs and posting videos and things and, um, thank you to everybody. Amazing. Thank you again. I know I keep saying that. I keep saying thank you. I'm sorry. The EP came out finally! That took forever. There were lots of logistics with getting on iTunes and all kinds of crazy stuff, but it's done! Yes, it's done. It's out. Pablomoose, which is the band that I'm in with Natalie, who's my girlfriend, we got a job to make a video song for TV. It's gonna be a commercial for beep, and in beep, place name of company here. I don't think I'm supposed to say who it's for yet, but we're doing a TV commercial. It's gonna be a video song. I'm super excited. Oh, super cool things. A couple of people have done some incredible Portraits. I want to thank Lee Blackwood and Lana Dew did a really cool portrait. I saw an amazing movie the other night. It was really cool, and I want to tell everybody to go see it because it was that good. It's called Humboldt County. It was so good. It was funny and important and one of those movies that, um, that you, you, you leave the theater and you feel better about life. You can find it at your local Independent theater. Oh, I got new shoes! New shoes! Who knows, maybe next time I'll be crazy and get orange. Oh, okay, question for everybody. I need to know the answer to this. Should I do Twitter? I went to Twitter and it looks like I had milk this morning for breakfast with Froot Loops and, uh, cool, I had milk. I don't know, should I do that?
Is that— should I have—
question: should I have a Twitter account? It's a big decision. I'm gonna address some common questions because I've been getting them a lot recently, so let's just get it out there. I'm gonna do the questions in the style of Julia Nunes, who asks the question and then answers the question. What software do you use? I use Final Cut Pro to edit the movies, and I use Pro Tools to record the audio. How do you pronounce your name? My name is pronounced Jack Conti. If you want to say Jack Conte, that's fine. Why does your guitar sound so muffled? There's a little green thing in my guitar, which is this guy. Put that under the bridge of the guitar, and then without the green thing— Oh! All the video songs are now going to be on iTunes.
Woo!
Live webcasts. I'm digging it. I don't know if you guys are digging it. I'm digging it. It's super fun. I don't know his name, but—
Audiemus.
I don't know. He put up The Way It Was Before, the live recording that was taken directly from the Ustream webcast of The Way It Was Before. And thank you for putting that up. That's rad. That's cool. I think I'm gonna try and record them from now on because that's a really good idea to do that and have, you know, have the live recordings up there. Any ideas for— I'm trying to figure out what to do during the live webcasts. I don't know. So I'm thinking about like Just leaving the webcam on for a whole day so that you can kinda pop by for 30 seconds here and check out the recording of this, and then pop by for another 30 seconds and check out the recording of that or something. Or maybe I'll just like let you know like when I'm recording vocals or something, and you can see what recording vocals for a video song is like. Or I could like— I don't know, would this be a cool thing? I could point the camera at my computer while I'm editing the video song, and you could see like How you edit the video song and all that kind of stuff. I don't know. Are any of these good ideas? Are people into this?
I'm—
I don't know. I'm new at this whole thing. I don't know what I'm doing. The next live webcast is going to be 3 PM this Thursday. I'm gonna try and have the new video song out, um, by that time as well. I think I hear Natalie coming. Hi, Natalie!
Are you live?
Maybe.
